This is one place that I actually think would be better getting robots in. Very heartless robotic lacking any empathy. Their talk and actions were emplorable. Never bring any of my friends or family members here. Was there for 5 hours in a chair with strep throat and severe bronchitis Having to wear a mask. Background of Cancer and just diagnosed with only 40% use of left lung due to mass. They knew all of this and they did the Bryman tests and then they are lost. Told me they did not see the mass on the xray. That was the so called traveling Dr. Duhhh only had CAT and MRI of it for Over 30 years and had a Pulmonary Dr following me for that long. They all have told me X-rays are useless. And my count was up. And they said it was good. Finally got into Dr. Was given 2 sets of antibiotics, inhaler and steroids. After 2 weeks in bed started to feel better. Los Robles only future option. What a joke. Did not even look at throat or ears. The liability on this hospital is great!!!!

Dr. McNeill is incredible. First of all, the staff was warm & welcoming. I got a bed and medication right away so I could be more comfortable as they were running tests. The best part of all was Dr. McNeill. He called me the next day to see how I was feeling. I have been to a few ERs in my life, and I've never received a follow-up call before Dr. McNeill. He was so thorough with excellent bedside manner, accurately identified the problem, treated it, then called me the next day to see how I was doing. And if I had found some relief, which I had. Excellent. I wish he was my primary care doctor.

Worst ER visit ever. I was brought in by ambulance for a blinding migraine. ER is always a last resort because of how people are treated with migraines. Nothing would stop the nausea...even after 3 injections of anti-nausea medication. It also took over 2 hours before they would give me anything to stop the searing pain that I was experiencing. The EMT brought my purse from home and left it sitting next to me on the bed. After 2 hours, a rep from Admitting came in to take my insurance information. My wallet was missing from my purse. I called the ambulance company and they did not locate it. A few days later, I received a call from the Security Department at St. John's, letting me know that my wallet had been found in the women's restroom of the ER. It was at that moment, that I remembered a housekeeping women placing my purse on the other side of my bed. She had been the only one in my room prior to the ER staff and when she noticed that I had woken up, she said she was moving it to keep it from falling on the floor. I sent repeated messages to the Security Department and the Administration. I was transferred to several different departments...even the head of nursing and NO ONE ever followed up with me or offered an apology. I was told that I could file a police report and that I should not have brought my purse with me. My wallet was missing all of he money and most of my cards. I understand that things like this can happen, but not having a single response from anyone at this hospital was just unbelievable. I personally would not have brought it with me, but when you can't trust a hospital ER, there are bigger problems. I will never use this facility again.

Good evening St John's Hospital Tonight I was having what seemed like to me as a heart attack. I then called 911 and AMR paramedics arrived at my house. I was so thankful for Rebecca, Robert and Steven from AMR for their quality of assessment and recommendations to go to the hospital. Because of my family history of that type of heart attack, I was seen by Charge Nurse Christina iii and she was very professional about her assessment. A outstanding Charge Nurse with the education and knowledge too back it up. I was then seen by RN Brian, and he did the labs for the Hospital. He kept me informed throughout my visit to the ER and made sure that I was not worried about the situation going on. It's in my opinion that Brian is a young man, and it wouldn't surprise me if he makes Charge Nurse someday. Now their were too people I did not get their names. One was the lovely janitorial lady working tonight on 11-30-22 cleaning up room 11 in the ER around 2030 hours (nurse time lol). I asked her if she could get the nurse so I could use the double R, but totally went out of her way to get assistance for me, super cool of her! Then I think he was a MD green scubs and balled head. I mean this unknown MD went above and beyond to help the situation, you Rock Dude! I did catch my main MD name. A special thanks to MD Christen who easied my worries and resolved the problem correctly. I'm Glad I live in a town where we have a team of Medical Professionals who run a ER under extreme circumstances, well done St. John's Hospital Camarillo. And last but not least Lydia Registration Admitting. Omg try to understand for a second that until the ER staff got the lab results back, I wasn't sure if I was having a mild heart attack. About 3 minutes after RN Brian informed me that I was clear and nothing serious, I had the pleasure of do the paperwork to get discharged. Omg was so thankful for nothing serious, so when I was talking with her I was still very shooken up. She was so nice and so was everyone else's. So in closing yes your hospital does great work and I bet all you associates MD RN etc have too work extreme hours. I commend your team for well just being Awesome people who care about their patients. Thanks again Sincerely Mr Castillo

They are worse than worthless. 5K bill (2.5 after insurance adjustment) for a short time at the ER. They ran a few labs, and couldn't figure out my wife's heart palpitations. The midwife looked at the same labs and said "Your potassium was on the low side". She ate a banana and was fine. These are DOCTORS. How are they so inept? What exactly are they charging us for anyway? We've been trying to get an itemized bill for 2 months, and they're again so inept that they can't even do that.

What a shit show this place is! I was having terrible neurological pain in my spine. I had a Ct and than an MRI scan on my spine. It took 12 hours for them to get me from start to finish 12 hours before I knew my diagnosis! For 12 hours, I sat in my bed in excruciating pain, and they never even gave me Tylenol for the pain! I was supposed to get medicine after I had my MRI but they chose to ignore my cries for help! The Nurse who took care of me thought he was a Comedian! But, seriously I was in so much pain I wanted to ring his neck! I am so glad that he could laugh and joke around while I laid there feeling terrible! He chose to ask us Trivia Questions, which was very annoying to me cuz I wasn't in the mood to be Trivialized while I laid there in pain! So when I ended up leaving the take home papers they gave me was mostly about how they don't treat people with chronic pain and basically made me feel like I was a drug addict just looking for meds! Which wasn't the case at all! I have plenty of meds at home! But, this was neuro pain, nothing helps neuro pain! I see what they were doing: basically they stick you far away from the Nurses Station and keep you in a room until they hope you will just give up and go away so they don't have to give you meds!! So, when they finally get your diagnosis it is exactly the time they are checking you out so they don't have to give you meds! The doctor did give me an RX for the neuro part of the pain and it actually has helped me tremendously! But, I really DO NOT APPRECIATE being treated like a druggy!! There is nothing more humiliating than that!!! It's terrible that there are people out there who abuse the system and for that, we all have to suffer!! This is truly wrong!!

Incompetent staff, neglected to follow dr. orders more than once (no IV fluids, forgot to do brain MRI even though I've asked the tech about it). I was stuck in ER for over 27 hours (4:30pm to 7:30pm the next day). I was not seen by a doctor in over 28 hours (8am to 12noon the next day) the cardiologist is like the wizard of Oz, sits in his room and reads test reports and issues orders, yet does not bother to see patients, even though I was told multiple times that he would see me. told them I am vegetarian and keep kosher, yet first meal they attempted to give me pork and the next meal they gave me another dead animal to eat (even though prior to dinner time the nurse verified that they have kosher vegetarian in the computer). when I asked for replacement dinner, was told that cooks have left for the day and the kitchen was closed. had to settle for three graham crackers and tiny serving of apple sauce. they wanted to give me a blood thinner, I assumed because of my condition, but then found out that they just give it to all patient as a preventative against clotting since they make patients just lay down in bed all day waiting for doctors, not because it is medically necessary! makes me wonder what else was done for their convenience that was also not medically necessary? the nurses refused to give me any of the test results saying that only a doctor can, yet no doctor showed up for over 28 hours and even then only gave me summary of the tests the only person in the hospital that seemed to really care about me and called me twice was the lady from the billing department. she really cared very much about me being able to pay the $5,2000 deductible... makes me wonder if all these tests and procedures were just done to rack up my bill I made an appointment with my own cardiologist for 2pm in Northridge. they promised that a doctor would come by 11:30 to discuss and discharge me. the doctor only showed up after noon. claimed that I was seen by another doctor earlier (which was true, but earlier was 28 hours earlier) the doctor agreed to discharge me since all the test were "normal for a person your age" yet gave me no further details for any of the tests. they probably run of of excuses to do more unnecessary test and bill me for it she then neglected to enter the discharge orders into the computer and the nurse could not remove my IV and let me go. the doctor ignored pages and phone calls from the nurse, who had to walk around the floor chase and find the doctor. the discharge paper showed that I had complained about chest pains (false), probably just to bill for unnecessary tests. my only complaint was dizziness. also told them that it could not have been dehydration, since I drunk plenty the previous day (water supplemented with electrolytes). yet they ordered IV fluids (which they forgot to do till the next morning, when a nurse showed up to replace a non-existent IV bag...) I told the that it was not vertigo (we am familiar with it and I did not have sensation of spinning nor did I have nystagmus). yet again, vertigo complaint was on the discharge papers... the only complaint that I told them about, the low heart rate they ignored, they even ignored alarms from the heart monitor when my heart rate fell below 50 dozens of times (I have photos of the alarms list in the device)

So we ended up here Saturday we parked in the visitor parking located at what use to be the front entrance but me and my 87 yr old mom had to walk around the whole hospital to find the very hidden main entrance than go from there to find the checking urgent care area. I had my mom sit while I checked her in. Than when they decided to take her back inside they needed me to do more paperwork. Don't know why they didn't do that all the first time. Once inside they said the doctor wants X-rays I told the techs she just had X-rays at Kaiser. So they took a few X-rays. Than half an hour later the doctor Macrito Attilio came in spoke a few words than left to check her X-rays. Don't know why she didn't do that before she came in. Than she came back said a few words we asked her a few things than she left. We still had more questions when another person came in to have my mom sign herself out. We informed the nurse we still had questions. So he said I'll try to get the doctor she's busy. She came back in a big rush to leave us again and when I asked her why they can't give her enema. She said they don't do that there. They never have. That's so weird to me it's a hospital what do they do there. We were so upset. We were rushed out of there and were never given the sample pills they said they would give us since the pharmacy was closed on the weekends. We're very disappointed and only going back if we have too. Hope we don't have too.

Unfortunately had to come in in the middle of a pandemic and I felt so bad for all the nurses. They had ambulances lined up on the wall and patients in hallways, Tino and Shea were so helpful and kind. They were efficient I was aware of the plan the whole 7 hours I was there! Even though my wait was long they kept me entertained with jokes! They were professional I was glad to be there!! Dr Larrew seemed very intelligent.

I went in due to an internal infection. I had the shivers, nausea, fever and I was dehydrated to the point where I felt weak and it took them 6 hours to give me a room when I was the first patient there and all others behind me went in first. I repeatedly asked the girls in the front when I would be able to get a room and all they said was a request had been sent in. I asked again literally in tears and I told her I was there before all the other patients who went ahead of me and all she said was" there's nothing I could do, the request has been sent". They took me to get X-ray and sent me back to the waiting room twice. Once I got my room (not an actual room they gave me the check in room) I noticed there was drops of blood on the floor. Not only that but when when the nurse removed my IV she set my needle full of blood on the gray tray where there was a folded robe. Gloves were never used. Next time I'd rather travel the extra 15 mins to Oxnard then have to put up with the staff at St. John's in Camarillo!

I am so beyond disappointed in this hospital. I believe we could have lost our boy, as he was taking a turn for the worse a week ago. My son was extremely sick with COVID for 13 days. Initially, I thought he would fight it and be fine, but he kept getting worse and by day 7, I knew he was in very bad shape. He lost 37 Pounds in 13 days! He 's 35, and normally healthy other than having an extra 25 pounds on him at the time. He had severe vomiting, nausea,, headache, cough and diarrhea from Covid for about two weeks non stop. He was coughing up bloody sputum. Unfortunately, he couldn't keep any vitamins or meds down. His almost broke down explaining to us how his whole body hurt and he had painful stomach symptoms. From a guy who doesn't ever complain, it was scary. He went to the Camarillo hospital on day 8 or 9 and they took his vitals which were supposedly okay, but his X-ray showed he had developed pneumonia. They didn't give him any IV fluids, which he needed desperately. He was lightheaded, dizzy and feeling like he was going to faint. They simply sent him home with albuterol inhaler (no steroids) , anti nausea meds and cough meds with codeine. Unbelievable. He was miserable with the dehydration, headache, nausea, cough and body aches for over 8 days at that point. I can't believe they didn't even give him IV fluids and/or a steroid to reduce the inflammation. I was lucky to find and hire a local mobile IV clinic that next day that sent a nurse out to give him an IV of fluids, vitamins and glutathione to reduce his inflammation and hydrate him. I had a Budesonide (steroid) nebulizer (inhaler breathing treatment) on hand that I brought him over to use. After the IV's and Budesonide steroid nebulizer treatment he turned around within 24 hours. If I didn't have friends in the medical field, who recommended that I do this, I do believe he would have ended up in the ICU. I will never send a family member to that hospital again.
