Tried to call but phone number not in service... Went by on a Wed afternoon around 3, and it was closed even though info says 9-5. Took my business elsewhere.

This place didn't know what they were doing. Tried telling me I had the wrong catalytic converter for my vehicle.....spent 50$ for nothing . They were nice enough and service was fast but they almost cost me a huge headache. Luckily pervious car owner was able to help me clear it up

okay, so i'll start this off with a full explanation of what happened- followed by my review. I had pulled up to the smog check at 3:14pm, there was a Prius in the garage that i parked behind when i was ushered to get out of the car. i gave the dude my keys, then he had me write down my name & phone number on a piece of paper, and he told me it would be done in about 15 minutes. he also told me i could take a seat, and also motioned around and said i could just take a walk. since the waiting room looked a little small, and the only other option was a bench that was directly in the sunlight- i went on a walk to taco bell next door. after about 20 minutes, i walked back over and my car was still in the same spot- and it looked like the prius was still in the garage (i had no idea that was a shop car- or what i assume to be a shop car now since it never ended up moving. i'm not a car dude- i figured my car needed to be in the shop for the smog test- admittedly my bad) after another 15, i walked back and saw my car had been moved back & thought it was so there would be room to back the prius out so i could take my turn. went to walk around a little more. my assumption was i'd be called once it was finished if i wasn't in the small waiting room. then it hit 5, and since google said the shop closed at 6 i figured i should atleast ask the guy about it since he hadn't called me yet. i walk up to the shop at 5:10 & he's out front fiddling on another car infront of the prius (that's when i realized my fault with assuming the car needed to be in the shop) i asked him "hey man, so i just wanted to check on the status of my car- is it all good?" he responds with "It's been done for f*cking HOURS!! Why wouldn't you take a seat?!?!" then i explained the whole yanno, chair in the direct sunlight and how i went for a walk instead- and he said "I TOLD YOU 15 F*CKING MINUTES" (he had raised his voice quite a bit at this point and was basically yelling) i responded with some yelling back saying "you had my f*ckin phone number!! if it was that important i figured you'd call me and say it was finished if i wasn't in the waiting area!!!" Then the dude just points at the chair and says "go sit down, i'll deal with you in a minute." he finishes up work on the car that had pulled up- then shouts that he's ready for me in the shop. i walk up, we don't really address what happened- he tells me to sign something- i pay- take my keys & leave. as i'm leaving i see him close the garage door (closed up early and i guess i held him up an extra 3-4 minutes with my payment) (it's about 5:25 by this point) that was my experience. while i understand it was completely my bad for not understanding the car didn't need to be in the shop- what i don't understand is why i wouldn't be called & instead YELLED at for showing up an hour before close while he's very obviously still doing stuff- the difference of me paying earlier or at that point was about 3-4 minutes of extra "work" (him having me tap my card against a pay machine & him handing me two pieces of paper) has literally nobody ever gone on a walk instead of waiting in that room???? why would it be a problem if you are not only STILL OPEN, and my car is OUT OF THE WAY, and why resort to immediately raising your voice & being a toddler about the whole thing??? quite literally had the recourses to solve a problem (which, again, the problem was that he had to stay an extra 3-4 minutes, and still closed early) & instead waited for me to approach him to get all pissed off and yell at me about it.

The most disgusting service I have ever received !!!
I wanted to get a smog check on Saturday afternoon , 5-25-24
I was too distraut and traumatized , to even get the so called worker’ Name
First, I waited for 10 min without anyone acknowledging or addresing me at the front
Then I was instructed to just wait near the smog check section, in my car , and they'll get me in
I waited in my car , next to the smog section. The so called worker , saw me , as he was working on a car
After waiting , and I saw he finished, I started driving up when my turn came ,
the guy who was "working by myself" ,
just began YELLING at me and said I should of "talked to me first " , as I was waiting in line
when I was ONLY doing what I was told by the front desk
He didn't let me explain what I was told , because he was too busy yelling at me ...
Really degrading and abusive !!
After seeing me wait ,
He didn't let me take my turn in line , even after I explained to him I was in line… like I was told
He knew I was waiting, and I was next ,and even
knowing that ,
He let another person go ahead of me , who had just gotten there ,
He felt dumb when the other person , was nice , and she told him , "she was waiting , she's next "
And he had the audacity to tell her , “you don’t mind waiting “
She continued to tell him , “no, she was next “
For him to yell at me , be emotionally abusive , and now, to insist someone else go ahead of me , after seeing me
Waiting !!!!!!
He was degrading , rude , minimizing , belittling and abusive !!! He is a sorry excuse of a human being
He made me cry he was so rude , abusive and degrading
just without asking me , just coming at me yelling and not even letting me explain what I was told
To see a customer waiting for service ,
letting others go ahead of her,
and then yelling !!!!???
No greeting , no, “how can I help you” , no, “I'm sorry mam are you waiting” , just straight off YELLING, MINIMIZING, BELITTLING AND BEING EMOTIONALLY ABUSED !
How do you treat customers like that , yet alone human beings
And to even let someone go ahead of me , when he knew I was waiting??!!!!! ....disgusting service
I was ignored , yelled at , emotionally abused , belittled and made to cry
I was truly traumatized by this , and here it is the next day , and I am still affected ….
After all that, not even an apology
Never come here ! He is a disgusting person and a sorry excuse of a human being

Needed a smog check on my 12 year old car. Based on Yelp reviews, came to Smogster close to my home. One case in front of me when I got there. Still had me in and out in about 30 minutes. $10 off with Yelp check in on your first visit to Smogster! I will be back next year

Quick service. Had to do a repair. Gladly accepted my Groupon. Went back, did the test again, passed, and got my certificate. Each time, the test was less than 15 minutes.
