Great price, fast service, and right behind food options if there is a wait, which there hasn't been. I got a smog check done in no time at all on my lunch break, 2nd time I've come here for one and will continue to come back.

Not sure what some of the comments are referring to, my experience was very professional and fast. Keep in mind, this is only a smog place, they don't offer any type of repairs or diagnostics, maybe that's what people don't understand? The service I got from this older gentleman that couldn't talk because of a disability was truly great. I was in and out in under 20 minutes and everything including the price seemed fair to me. The car passed the smog, and I was on my way but I had read some of the negative reviews on here before coming and almost didn't come because e of them. I'm glad I ignored then and decided to judge for myself. Afterall it was just a smog check, it wasn't anything serious like mechanical work or anything like that. If you know your car has problems passing, then maybe don't come here, go to a place that is a repair shop and also does smog checks? Just a thought.

I won't come back to this business and wouldn't recommend them. First attempt I was there 30 minutes while he tried to smog test my vehicle on two different test systems. He claimed my vehicle was causing his computer problems so I could wait for the system to recalibrate or come back in the morning. Next morning was my second attempt, I called ahead and he said to come by. Once again I noticed that he was having trouble as he attempted the smog test on my vehicle twice. Again he blames my vehicle for his system crash problems. He said I could wait for the computer to reset and he would try a third time. Already 40 minutes of my time wasted I said no thanks and left. I went to Smogsters off of Adolfo Rd. and in about 15 minutes my vehicle was smogged.

NOTE: Do not take your vehicle here, especially any older vehicle. I have been coming to this business for the past 8 years for all 4 of my vehicles (2 newer cars and 2 antique 70's/80's vehicles). It was convenient because they never require an appointment and have established trust and confidence in this business over the past several years. As a side note, the older gentlemen who used to run the place does not appear to operate it any longer which may explain what occurred today. Unfortunately, today (about 3:20pm) I had a much different experience. After arriving with an older 1980s vehicle with only 36,000 original miles, only one vehicle was parked in the service bay leaving the other service bay open. After asking the employee if I could park the vehicle near the open bay, he replied, you need to come back tomorrow morning at 8am. I told him I had just driven from Oxnard . He then stated that "these old vehicles take 30-45 minutes and I have three customers arriving soon." He then stated, "this is a re-check, right?" I explained to him that it was not and that it always passes smog. He then said something to the effect of don't come on a Saturday and don't come by during lunch reminding me to come by first thing in the morning. Needless to say, I was so disappointed after being such a loyal customer for 8 years and referring others. A friend of mine called him after 4pm regarding his 2015 Honda Accord, and the employee said, "bring it on in, there are no customers here; it's completely empty." Well, there went my trust after realizing that he likely made up a story about all these vehicles coming in before 5pm. It may not have been a big deal to the employee to turn down a long-time loyal customer, but it was a big deal to me and I plan on telling others about this unfortunate experience. I recommend Smogie's Smog Shop at 3940 Market St Ventura who I visited at 4:45pm and helped me without any hesitation. They even complimented me on my car :). What a difference in service!
