My experience with Ponderosa Apartments as a potential resident was quite disappointing. The property manager, Annette, exhibited extremely rude behavior, leaving me waiting for extended periods. Despite being asked for a holding deposit, the apartment was not taken off the website as promised. Annette's rude behavior added to the negative experience. I would caution anyone considering renting here to be wary of the management's unprofessional conduct during the application process.

I’ve lived here at Ponderosa Apartments for the past 3 years and I’m sad to be leaving. I just wanted to say that you can’t rent from a better place than here ? Annette is the manager and she is the best, I will miss her and hope to be able to rent from her in the future.

Quiet, safety. The building manager, Annette is very attentive and responsive to all concerns. She seems to take care of the complex as her own home.

Rented a 1 bedroom from July 2018 to February 2020 for $1,565 for the first year and then $1,615 afterwards. Neighborhood is quiet, though there is a fire station nearby so there's the occasional siren. Apartments are quite clean and seem well-maintained. Always paid rent on time, any issues that came up were dealt with pretty swiftly. The apartment manager, Anette, was warm and welcoming towards me, which I greatly appreciated. She's also quite competent too, and kept us well-informed of any issues that popped up and what was being done to take care of them. Don't be a jerk and everything'll be fine. I moved out due to a much better employment opportunity elsewhere but if I went back I'd choose this in a heartbeat.

Lovely, well-kept grounds and an extra secure building. You'll never have to worry about your Amazon packages being stolen which is such a rare benefit these days.
The building manager Annette is amazing! She will always make sure you are taken care of. Over the holidays FedEx refused to use the gate code to get into the building and almost sent my package back citing the "Business Closed". After several attempts in calling Amazon and FedEx Annette heard of my difficulty and called the FedEx manager herself and got the package held at the local facility which is going so above and beyond for her renters.

Beat up old complex, tiny units, *no air conditioning*, highly unprofessional staff, charged my account without authorization, having to fight to get my money back! Stay away.

I have been a tenant at Ponderosa Apartments for 3 years now and have loved it since day one! Not only is it reasonably priced, but the apartment complex is so well maintained and the fellow tenants are very friendly. Annette, my landlord, is nothing short of AMAZING! She has made so many new and needed upgrades to the apartments, all in a short time span too! Don't even get me started on Maintenance Requests,lol, Annette and Gilbert, Maintenance, do such a great job staying on top of things and follow up on requests quickly and efficiently. I know only better things will come with the New management and Annette, she genuinely has every tenants best interest at heart! I will soon be signing a new lease and couldn't be happier to do so!

I have been a resident at Ponderosa Apartments for a year and a half now. It is such a nice and quiet place. When we moved here a year ago the management is okay. But with the new management, it gets better. The new management is really doing a good job. The property is always clean and every month we noticed a lot of upgrades in the area. They remodeled most of the units in the property. The manager (Annette) makes sure that any problems or issues in the property are resolved ASAP. She listens to your concerns and I find her very considerate. She is very quick to respond to maintenance requests and tries very hard to take care of the building and its residents. You can tell that she cares and concern about the safety of the tenants. I even saw her one night on a weekend driving around the property just to make sure that there are no suspicious cars parked in the property. BTW this apartment has plenty of guest's parking, so if you have friends or relatives visiting you, parking will not be a problem. Renting an apartment here in Camarillo is pricey; but here I think they have a very reasonable price especially with the upgrades that they made. If you want a safe and quiet place, I highly recommend this apartment.

Very old and dirty complex. The carpet has not been changed for years, and they are raising the rent to almost $1,600 plus utitilities for a 500 sq ft noisy apartment without air conditioning. This is a joke.
The management is so unprofessional and uncompetent.
