SERVICE: Because this business is in Ventura county, they will earn my 5 stars. If located in Los Angels county, 3 stars. Why? Size/Inventory. Nonetheless, I want to make sure to offer my gratitude and appreciation for this business to exist. I hope we all continue to support them and I look forward to patronizing as much as I can. Upon entering I was greeted and the associated was very helpful with my search of hair items from oils, conditioner, shampoo, rollers, to braiding hair. She offered suggestions and gave me my space to browse. The shop also offers a point earning system (discounts) which adds an incentive to buy more which is cool. I actually live close to Absolutely Beautiful Hair, another hair supply shop located in Oxnard. Another business I encourage you to support. However, Olive has more selection. To find anything African American focused is hard enough and therefore am thankful for BOTH of these businesses.

Very helpful and friendly. I have a hard time finding a particular hair product for my daughter’s hair. All the big chain retailers stopped stocking it. I went in one day and inquired if they had it. They didn’t have it but said if I was interested they would look into stocking it. I went in again and to my surprise they stocked it. I wasn’t expecting it since it was a quick mention in a past conversation. I’m very happy with their customer service.

The people there are very knowledgeable, and reccomended me, their Ashanti Naturals 100% Shea Butter, omg where do I start this saved me from really cracked hands and so much pain due to the Santa Ana winds last month and again, because I have to wash my hands a lot they were cracking that they'd bleed, and hurt constantly, this butter repairs your hands from extremadamente damaged and makes them look like new, I didn't know how much it'd help, it will heal the wounds and you can use it on your lips if chapped. This repairs even up to severe dry hands (like those that use a lot of water) in just 2 uses or an hour you feel it hydrate and bring life. It won't burn when applying like others do...and it takes away pain instantly then repairs. Don't believe the other brands like eos or Palmers, or aquaphor,Ashanti Shea is where it's at. I reccomend it if you work a lot and are out and have to use water or work in agriculture ??

I bought a 32 ounce bottle of Abba moisture shampoo and when I got home I noticed there was no seal on the bottle , just the cap. I have purchased this product elsewhere and there is always an internal seal in place. I contacted the store the day after purchase and they said I would have to return it that day if I wanted to return it after me telling them that I would be unable to return it as I was out of town for five days. They also said it came from the manufacturer that way which leads me to believe they are not buying from the manufacturer as I contacted the Pure Abba Company and they assured me that an internal seal should be in place since once opened product is only good for 12 months. Also if there is no internal seal anything could be added to the product or it could be watered down. I will not purchase here again as I would rather pay for shipping from the company itself.

I was looking for a black hair miracle, and this place saved the day. I was due to get my hair braided and I couldn't find any places that sale braiding hair. This place is well stocked, well organized, and Kathy is an absolute sweetheart. Forever customer in me!
