We have many projects that were completed since Spring in our home by the MW Mason team and we highly recommend MW Mason Construction. Complete Kitchen remodel with custom cabinetry which is beautiful, living room custom cabinet with walnut top, family room remodel, bathroom shower and a craft room with custom cabinets and work areas.

THE GOOD: The kitchen cabinets that Matt did make correctly the first time were very nice. THE BAD: Matt made at least a dozen serious errors from the original design plan that have been very expensive to correct. Including most of the appliance niches were incorrect and actually placing the island incorrectly. His project supervisor's response when I asked about the island was, I am quoting exactly, "SH&@%T Happens". THE UGLY: Matt added extra and also inflated charges to the final invoice. Some were not add-ons and others were not even done (fortunately we took pictures and videos of everything). Matt refused multiple requests to correct the final invoice. Not only did he refuse to correct his final invoice, but Matt then placed a Mechanic's Lien on our home. When I asked Matt why he did this he flat out admitted that it was, again I am quoting exactly, his "standard practice for my vendors to file a Mechanic's Lien on EVERY project". Now I have to file a formal complaint with the Contractors Board and go to court to have the Mechanic's Lien removed. Be forewarned....When Matt estimated our kitchen remodel he came across as sweet, reasonable, and attentive. However, all that changed the minute our kitchen was demolished.

Last summer, my wife and I bought a home in a dream location. The house was pretty dated and needed a lot of work. MW Mason was recommended to us and I put in a call. He was unavailable because of a vacation so we continued getting a few other bids. Once Matt was back he came over and I walked him through the ideas and plans. He got back to us within a few days with a very competitive bid that was transparent and well laid out. We agreed to work with him and off we went. The remodel was a significant project in terms of scale and effort. The Project Manager Lorne stepped in and we talked or texted almost daily to cover details and ideas. They refined things we had in mind and provided excellent ideas all while not trying to drive costs up. No changes to our plans were started without a discussion. They took our requests and made them happen. Matt provided us with cabinet mocks for the kitchen and bathrooms. We refined the designs together to meet our needs. All of the cabinets and vanities are of amazing quality. They also connected us with great vendors for materials or found us good subs for other projects. We ended up with a few days where they had the crew working while we were moving in and unpacking but they were respectfully and took great care around everything from our furniture, us working from home and our dogs. The quality of the work was impressive. Their crew really cared about making this our dream home. Every little detail was addressed and they made sure we were 100% satisfied. We literally signed off on the project yesterday and I have already shared Matt's contact information with several people. You will not be disappointed with MW Mason. This is the second kitchen remodel that MW Mason did for us in two years. Matt Mason runs a great shop and delivers quality cabinets for a very reasonable price (about the same as the pre-fab cabinets that HD and Lowes sell, which are not custom and end up with too many compromises). He's also a general contractor and provides all the required services: electrical, plumbing, etc., so one-stop shopping. His team is professional and friendly. When a mistake is made, Matt accepts responsibility and takes care of it.We highly recommend MW Mason for all your remodeling needs.Services: Custom cabinet design & installation

I don't usually write negative reviews but I had such a terrible experience with this company that I felt compelled to write one. If I could give them less than a one star I would. I wanted to have my kitchen remodeled. I had one estimate but I wanted another one to compare. I called MW Mason Construction and Matt came out the next week. He looked over everything and said it should be no problem and that I would have an estimate by end of day. A day or two goes by so I call. A very sweet lady answers the phone and said Matt had to take materials to a job and that is why I didn't get my estimate yet. Another day or two goes by and I call again. The lady tells me that Matt had been sick and he was stopping by to pick up things so he could get my estimate finished. Another day or two goes by and I call again. This time I tell the nice lady on the phone that I need to talk to Matt because there were a couple of changes I wanted. I also told her that I was getting pretty upset because I still have not gotten my estimate. She said Matt had just went to a meeting and that she would give him my message. That was a week ago and I still have not received a phone call from Matt. I understand that issues come up. What I am upset about is that I never received one phone call from Matt. No communication at all from Matt. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend this company to do business with.

I love Matt Mason!!! He is such a great guy and a wonderful contractor. He is extremely fair with pricing, and always does a great job. And if something isn't perfect, he's happy to fix it. He has pretty much remodeled my entire house. He even built me a huge shed in my back yard. I believe his specialty is cabinets, built-ins, ect. But his employees are very multitalented, they can do alot more than that specialty. And he has great subcontractors that fill in the rest. I especially like his painter and tile/counter top guys. I highly recommend him to all my friends. Thanks Matt!

Matt was great. We were looking to change out our old kitchen cabinets for the newer soft close ones and Matt suggested we refinish our old cabinets. Said we would get all new drawers with soft close slides, soft slide storage drawers, and soft close cabinet doors to work in the current cabinets. Refinished and painted the cabinet structure and doors a pickle white. Very professional finish. Then attached our hardware pulls and knobs. All done as promised and is an appropriate amount of time. The different crews throughout the varied stages of the process were polite and respectful and top notch craftsmen/women. Great job!

My family and I have hired MW Mason Construction for many projects over the years. They have always been honest, professional, and thorough which sets them apart from others. We've been impressed with their craftsmanship and attention to detail, they've created special features within our homes from cabinets to a custom wine closet. We highly recommend Matt and his team for any job!

We took our antique bookcase to Matt to fix storage damagee. I didn't think they could match the damaged molding. To my joyful surprise the work was fabulous. Very happy with MW and taking my antique chest of drawers in today. Will be interested if they can get the drawers to fit again. I highly recommend this company.

MW Mason Construction custom made our desks and cabinets for our office. We are extremely satisfied with the final product. We have customers come in all the time and compliment us on how nice our desks and cabinets look. The whole crew was polite and friendly, overall it was a great experience working with MW Mason Construction.

I love Matt Mason!!! He is such a great guy and a wonderful contractor. He is extremely fair with pricing, and always does a great job. And if something isn't perfect, he's happy to fix it. He has pretty much remodeled my entire house, and a significant portion of our dental office Potts Dental. He even built me a huge shed in my back yard. I believe his specialty is cabinets, built-ins, ect. But his employees are very multitalented, they can do alot more than that specialty. And he has great subcontractors that fill in the rest. I especially like his painter and tile/counter top guys. I highly recommend him to all my friends and those that took me up on that referral didn't regret it. I've included a picture of my kitchen after he refinished it. But I must state that the island and glass cabinets he made from scratch. Everything was just a standard natural wood color that I hated with nasty looking countertops. As you can see he did a fantastic job! Thanks Matt!

Did some work for me in my kitchen. Came and gave an estimate and was back a few days later to complete the job as promised. Very nice, fast and great price. Could not have asked for or wanted more. ?
