I have called twice to inquire if there were any available units. The first time no one picked up and I left a voicemail. I called a week after and someone directed the call to voicemail immediately. I left another voicemail. Weeks later no one has called me back. Why would I want to rent from someone that can’t pick up the phone and return calls. No thanks!

Out of all the complexes i've lived in, Capistrano is by far the best! The area was quiet and calm. Really great for studying students and families. The units themselves are spacious and modern. The landlord, Laurie was always on top of things and really brought the community together. She always responded quickly whenever there was a problem. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone who's looking to rent.

Let me first start out by saying Laurie is the best.. From setting up a viewing of the apartments to moving in, she has been nothing but amazing! She's helped our moving process go quickly and smoothly, and anything we, (my husband and I), needed, she's helped with and in a super timely manor at that. Not only this, but her personality and energy absolutely SHINE! I am truly happy knowing this is the kind of apartment manager that I have and i am so grateful!
The apartments themselves are beautiful! Very roomy units, modern updates, beautiful landscaping around the exterior, nice sized pool with grilling area, quite yet super friendly atmosphere. THERE IS AN AVOCADO TREE! Love that!
The parking (which is always an issue in California, it seems) IS NOT a problem here! There are plenty of parking spaces for residents and even a good amount of parking for visitors.
I have to mention there are video cameras installed, which i really, really appreciate.. That along with the town of Camarillo itself, makes me feel so safe! The location of the apartment, is close to pretty much everything you'll need. I seriously dig this place, and I highly recommend The Capistrano Apartments to anyone looking for a new place to live.

When we moved into this apartment complex our unit had been completely renovated including all new appliances, floors, and paint. It was like moving into a brand new place! The community is pretty friendly and the complex is very quiet at night. The best thing about the Capistrano is the manager Laurie, she is so nice and extremely helpful.

This is my first time in an apartment and I could not be more pleased. When u moved in over a year ago, everything within the place had been upgraded/painted and super clean. Laurie is just amazing and so helpful in all situations. She is very patient, understanding and always goes above and beyond to help in any way she is able. I feel fortunate to be apart of Capistrano

I lived here for only 8 months but I was so sad to leave! Laurie was amazing with helping me set up my apartment while I was still deployed and any problems I had were quickly fixed. I loved the apartment itself, open floor plan, huge bedroom, hardwood floor, etc. If I could’ve brought that apartment with me to my new duty station I would have!

Capistrano apartment is best! I love this place and so bummed that we have to move out of state. We had a two bedroom and it is way bigger 1200 plus sq ft compared to most apartments we've looked that are only between 800-1000 sq ft. It is very quiet and the residents are very respectful to one another. The manager LAURIE is AMAZING! She's very professional, friendly, sweet and most of all gets the job done. Whenever we had any problem at our unit she makes sure it gets attented and fixed right away despite how busy she is due to the undergoing overall renovation of the whole complex. The new management and owner of the apartment is really great. They are doing tons of renovations and when I say tons, I literally mean it! It is not a big complex which I like because it's more homey and you get to know almost all your neighbors. They also have plenty of parking space compared to other apartments where you have to haunt for a parking space on the street if you have more than one car. And they accept pets which is an additional bonus.

We are all excited for the pool to be done because it is getting hot. Laurie is the best on site manager and keeps all of us updated to what is going on. Looking forward to seeing how it all looks when it is done.

I definitely agree with the most recent reviews. This place has new management and new owners and that has made all the difference. I lived here for about 6 years but recently moved out due to personal reasons. The last few months of my stay there was a complete 180 from the previous 5 years. Management is the absolute best. They are kind and understanding. The older reviews on this place are no longer valid since the new ownership took over. They upgraded, updated, and overall just enhanced the place. If you are looking for a place with great location and even better management, consider these apartments. They have truly become great!

I am updating my review because although my time living at Capsitrano was not pleasant, the building has new management & ownership, and so they deserve credit where it's due. I am no longer a resident, however I live in a nearby neighborhood and visit friends who still live there frequently. This used to be a horrible place to live, but the new manager is so professional and helpful, and the new owners are compassionate. They have given a lot of effort into improving the community and redeeming their integrity. Capistrano is finally competing for status in the market and it shows!
