2960 Foothill Blvd, CalistogaI moved to Calistoga in January of this year and needed a veterinarian for my two dogs. One is a small fifteen year old rescue Chihuahua who is almost fifteen with congestive heart failure, arthritis, seizures, and teeth issues. The care she was receiving previously in another state was less than adequate. I thought I was going to lose her several times and I was praying we would find a better vet who could help stabilize her. Calistoga Pet Clinic was the answer to my prayers. Typically my experience with veterinarians is that you either get a good vet, or good office and support staff like techs, receptionists, etc. In all the years I’ve had my dog, I’ve never found a practice with both until now. Dr. Franquelin immediately diagnosed both my dogs with new conditions other vets had never found, with a plan to address them. My dog’s condition has improved tremendously since my dog has been in his care, to the point that I’m shocked this is the same dog from a year ago. She acts like she’s three again. Dr. Franquelin is a fantastic vet, and he is never condescending when he explains conditions and treatments to those of us without a medical background, which I appreciate. Every single one of the staff I’ve interacted with has been amazing. Special shout out to Kayla who has gone above and beyond to help with all my pet’s Trupanion insurance, which is especially important to me because care for an elderly, sick dog is incredibly expensive. They are truly just the most amazing practice across the board and you will not be disappointed with their care. I am eternally grateful to have found them.

1020 Foothill Blvd, CalistogaThe Paso tasting room is a cool downtown location and offers quirky decor. The staff is knowledgeable and offer fun factoids about each win...how they remember all that information is beyond me. The wines change with the wind, so if you really like one (or two), purchase several bottles. The secret "VIP" Room is awesome with the hand-painted furniture and "speakeasy" feel. Reservations are a must, as it seems it is always full any day of the week. Rustle and the crew take the snobbery out of winetasting and turn it around for an educational and fun experience.

Bennett Lane Winery
3340 CA-128, CalistogaLong overdue review! Visited here in mid August 2024 and by far BL was our favorite winery. Travis was really tentative, friendly and engaging in conservations. Originally we were a party of 2, last minute we had 2 additional friends join us, and Travis was able to accommodate them. Outside is absolutely gorgeous. Upon arrival there are rows labeled vines, a fountain and additional covered seating area. Inside is cozy and the bathrooms are well decorated. The back patio area was absolutely stunning! As far as the wines, we did not have a single bad tasting wine here. If you're a red wine lover you must visit! We ended up ordering 3 bottles of different years of their Cabernet Sauvignon that are pending delivery (due to Florida weather). They offer other unique experiences and I would have loved to have done including "making your own blend" wine. I'm itching to come back to this winery as it is simply a hidden gem in Calistoga.

Venge Vineyards
4708 Silverado Trail N, CalistogaMy husband and I stopped in without a reservation the day after Thanksgiving to see if we could get a tasting. Unfortunately they were closed however we were warmly greeted by Sheila who was on property. She was so wonderful to us. She let us take a quick look around the winery and take some photos. The winery is beautiful! We look forward to visiting again especially because of the warm reception we received.

My husband and I wanted a wedding where we could feel connected with our guests and Hans Fahden was the perfect place. Our guests also absolutely adored the wine cave experience!

3190 CA-128, CalistogaWe had a great time visiting work vineyard. It's a boutique winery that is family owned with a great story. Loved all the different varietals of wine, and even got to meet the wine maker. They just remodeled the place and looks stunning. Would highly recommend. FYI - they are appointment only, so need to reserve a spot ahead of time.

Myriad wines have earned multiple 100 pt scores and rank as some of the best wines I have ever tasted. Our tasting was held at Tamber Bey, a beautiful venue that houses Arabian and Mustang horses as well as a working winery. We tasted several wines made from fruit sourced from some of the best vineyards in Napa. Our time tasting was indeed memorable as well as educational thanks to our wine educator and host, Isaac Pirolo. Tasting fees are waived with the purchase of 3 wines which will allow you to make more memories while enjoying this incredible wine. Every cork tells a story. For us, this is a wonderful story we will always treasure.

Napa Valley Brewing Company
1250 Lincoln Ave, CalistogaExcellent variety of beers and great food. The beer garden is lovely on a sunny afternoon. I had the mushroom (Fungi) pizza and my partner had the Tillamook cheeseburger. Bother were very tasty. I had the porter and red ale, both very flavorful and well balanced. Perfect examples of the styles. Served very cold, the way I like it. The tables that border on the edge of the Napa River are a treat to sit at. Bonus points that they are dog friendly, my dog is my baby. Very happy we visited, and will be back! Highly recommended Good service, and food came out quickly.
