“If you're looking for authentic Mexican food and without paying tourist prices, this is the place to be! Everything is pretty much within walking distance in Calistoga; and it's so close to the main drag that you can take your food to your hotel, the park, or back home, if you don't want to devour it in your car. Literally, the taqueria in the back of this little market is likely the best Mexican food in town. If you're looking for ingredients, the market has most things at a discount compared to the supermarket down the street, and fresh produce. The folks that staff the place are always friendly and if you get there late enough, you may get to treat your ears to some Mexican opera from the friend in the back manning the fish and meat area. I've been living in Calistoga for a decade and this is the only place I'll go for my carnitas quesadilla or some pastor tacos!”
“All rights of this gas stations at the bottom of the hill at Petrified Forest going into Calistoga great prices staff is friendly the bathrooms are free they sell booze candy drinks whatever you need so that's great place I was like to stop there”
“Visiting town and realized what I forgot to pack, these folks had what I needed and more! Found some sugar-free options (tough in smaller towns) and oodles of local options. Super nice.”
