Lily was an expert on wines and we learned a lot from her during our wine tasting. We tasted 4 wines and they were all noteworthy. The location is excellent, a short distance off a county road. The building is adjacent to vineyards. Lovely interior with plenty of light. Loved the Calistoga winter passport offers!

Our server, Heather was excellent - very knowledgeable in the wines & intuitive about what we would enjoy most! The wines themselves were excellent & provided several interesting surprises like a Carneros Merlot. The property is beautiful. The tasting experience & the wine club benefits convinced us to join.
Situated among estate vineyards with sweeping views of the Mayacamas Mountain Range, Clos Pegase offers internationally acclaimed architecture, hand-crafted wines and unique tasting experiences. From a relaxed flight in the Heritage Garden, to a seated tasting in our Cave Theatre, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the estate.

Playful art and sculptures are the centerpiece of the winery, Clos Pegase. A collection of sculptures by famous 20th-century artists greets visitors outside, and the collection continues in the courtyard and tasting room. The owner, Jan Shrem, believes that great art is best shared with the public. The architecture of the Napa Valley winery is also creative-architect Michael Graves designed the grand building with elements that are partly contemporary and bold and partly classical. The wines are produced only from estate-grown grapes. Tours are offered daily at 11:30 a.m. (all ages) and 2:00 p.m. (21 and over only).
