Overall, they got the job done and did some things really well. But, there were also some difficulties with delays on our closing that could have been avoided. What they did well was help us negotiate with the seller some to get some closing costs switched to their side and helped save us a significant amount of money. However, they also submitted the appraisal request to the VA late which then caused our closing to be delayed. This problem was compounded when there was a lack of communication about this leading up to closing and we were hung in limbo for a week, not knowing whether we would close or not each day, which then caused significant difficulty with our movers and contractors we had coming in to do work that had to reschedule because of our delayed closing. It's unfortunate that one issue nearly overshadowed all the good work they did, but the lack of communication and the lack of willingness to own a mistake and deliver bad news caused major problems.
I hope they learn from this moving forward as this type of mistake is entirely avoidable.
