I've been trying to get my son into a gym for 3 yrs but was always told he was too young. Now he's 17 yrs old & 300 lbs.When I found out he was able to go to this gym, I was hopeful it would motivate him to begin a healthier lifestyle.On 8/15/23, got a text from a Megan, that membership expired & demands to "re up" to keep using gym. When I asked how much a monthly & 3mon would be? She replies,"Monthly is $50.Autopay for 6 months is $35/month deducted monthly.If you pay upfront for 3-12 months, it would also be $35 for each month!"I asked if she could send me a copy of the receipt since I couldn't remember what date I paid & how much.She tells me it started 5/12/23 & I paid $195 for 3months. Then adds,"We recently adjusted pricing for highschool memberships."I did the math...6mon is now $210. Only $15 less than what I paid for 3mon. And now 3mon is $105 instead of $195!So I asked when they changed prices & that I didn't receive the receipt I requested & she gives me attitude, tellin me to call or go in during business hours to get a receipt & "reactivate".I asked again, When prices changed & she said, "this month". Well if I paid on 5/12/23, then 8/12/23 would be expiration date going off monthly. Meaning, 12 days membership after the price was reduced.DID SHE OFFER ANYTHING TO REFLECT THE FACT I STILL PAID ALMOST DOUBLE THAN WHAT THEY CHARGE NOW? OR THAT A CREDIT OR MEMBERSHIP BE EXTENDED?N O P E !!Instead, she goes around talkin about my kid bkuz my sister text me out of the blue asking if my sons membership expired and that "They said he can't go until he pays."For whatever reason she reduced prices for high schoolers, she didn't believe my son deserved the same savings.I was guna pay to extend membership 'til I got treated like this. Obviously, Meghan didn't value us as customers. She didn't care to DO THE RIGHT THING! Personally, I feel like its probs bkuz she a fitness freak & don't like fat ppl?My son liked goin to the gym but I won't give anymore of my money to sum1 who discriminates & treated us unfairly. It's also very unprofessional to talk about customers, esp minors, with other customers!Horrible business practice & even worse customer service.

This is more than a gym it's a family! Kids welcome. Staff is always available to answer any questions you have. They thrive on helping you succeed in your fitness goals!!

Rising sun fit club is the most welcoming place you can come to. The instructors are friendly and know how to work with people to instruct them if they have disabilities. The gym is always very clean. I recommend it very highly!
