[Note: cash only!] Peter Lee was great - pleasant, competent, and professional. Went to get the battery replaced and get a new watchband for my wife's treasured old watch. Peter was able to take care of this as soon as I came in. As it turned out, the old battery had started to leak, but he was able to clean it up (no extra charge). He replaced the watchband, putting the original clasp on the watchband (so the watch wouldn't lose the value). He even punched some extra holes in the watchband (my wife's wrist is very small) - no extra charge for that either. All done in about 20 minutes. Highly recommended!

I see that I wrote this review 9 years ago and I will tell you my review wouldn't change an iota. Peter Lee, besides being one of the nicest people I've ever known, is like an old master. He is a craftsman that really knows his trade. If a watch is broken yet fixable, he will fix it. I wouldn't trust anyone else with a valuable time piece. He also stocks some beautiful legacy time pieces for sale. The only negative reviews I notice on Yelp seem to be related to the shop not being open or Peter being unavailable by phone. I'm sure Peter missed having the opportunity to accommodate a potential client but people have lives and things happen. If you have a little patience, you will never regret the excellent service that Peter offers.

Conscientious work, interesting owner. Yes, he charges a little more to change batteries for the expensive watches, and I am fine with that. It's still less than taking it to Gucci and more peace of mind than taking it to a non-professional who might charge $10 less.

Super friendly - I popped in to get a quick fix on a watch strap and Peter got it done in literally 10 seconds and refused to take a payment. Nice chap!

This little tucked away place is great. The owner is nice, quick, explains things well and reasonably priced. I resized a couple watches in maybe 20 min. He also regulated one that was running fast, now it runs perfect.

I called with a request to have several items updated with new batteries. Peter said to come right in ... I did, and he serviced all the time pieces promptly and with a smile ... and he was OPEN on Monday !!!

Excellent service and fast too. People don't know this place exists in the basement of the building on Burlingame avenue. I had two dead watches and he adjusted my bands for me . No need to go anywhere else if you need watch batteries or bands . Only negative , he had no hand sanitizer for customers to use .

Hidden downstairs from the bookstore. Fast Service while you wait. Swisswatch battery $20 Cartier $30 Why the difference in the price? It's a tiny watch battery!

Needed a couple links of my Cartier watch band taken out.. Came at 12 pm but he just left for his 1 hour lunch break.. Came back at 1 and he quoted $20 for a luxury watch. I believe standard watches are much cheaper. He prefers cash only.. but charged my card instead since I didn't have any cash on me. Whole process took less than 3 mins and I walked out wearing my watch. 5 stars.
