I had a frustrating experience with Putnam. I experienced extremely inconsistent customer service and extremely delays. I brought my stolen recovered Kia Soul to them and after it sat there for 3 weeks, untouched, I had it taken somewhere else.When I was notified that my vehicle was recovered, I looked around for places to take it. Most places were too full, but the service rep at Putnam said my car could be looked at immediately. He knew it was a stolen recovered vehicle and we even made an appointment. My car sat there for 3 weeks with out ever receiving any update or call about the status. When I would call the service department they would say my representative was in, and would forward me to his voicemail. It was full every time. After multiple calls, i requested to speak to a manager. After that I got a call from my rep and he told me he had been out sick with COVID. At this point, I was already working with my insurance to get my car picked up and taken elsewhere.When I leveled with my rep to figure out what the deal was, he told me they only have 1 person working on stolen recovered vehicles. There were two ahead of mine and the one that recently left the lot was there for 3 months! The car ahead of mine was a full engine rebuild. So my car could have sat there for 3 - 6 months. None of this information was offered up to me, I had to pry it out of the rep.Taking my stolen recovered vehicle to Putnam kia prolonged me not having my car by a whole month. I had to spend hours on the phone coordinating the tow and had to work to get updates in the first place.

Misdiagnosed the issue, never answered my calls, and never gave a delivery date of replacement parts. Did not call me when they completed inspection. Had to call them. Told me fuel pump was broken. Part is back ordered. Cannot give me estimated date when they will receive part. Told me once they order they can tell me when it will arrive. Part was ordered Monday. Wednesday I called them after no call back. No answer. Was promised a call back. Friday still no call back. I call again. No answer. I have to leave work, drive to them in person. I speak to the parts manager. 1-2 weeks was the timeline given. Told them I cant wait that long. It’s already been a full week. (Dropped car off Wednesday night week prior). I’m taking the car to another shop. Which I have to get towed because it won’t start. When closing me out I was told “since the product was ordered typically the customer has to pay. But we’ll take it off this time.” Which was nice but they were ones who told me they had to order it to get a delivery date! So I bring the car to a new shop (stress free auto care - highly recommend) and the fuel pump was fine! I have photos and videos of it functioning perfect. Turns out the entire engine failed. So even if I would have waited for the replacement fuel pump to come in it would not have mattered. They would have been standing there telling me “oh idk we put the new fuel pump in and it’s not working”. idiots. By the way the person I was told was handling my case was “Buddy”. Even though I only spoke to once on Monday.

The techs were able to diagnose the problem quickly and order needed parts. I was contacted promptly when they arrived and scheduled another appt to do the work.

Great experience buying a new EV6 from Kevin. He was super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and not at all pushy! He patiently helped us download and set up the Kia app as well. Car was immaculate. He made the whole process very easy and was a real pleasure to do business with.
