Great classes great staff and lots of well maintained, clean and not too crowded locker rooms and equipment. Big plus for the sauna and steam rooms

First off the intake tour guide was extremely rude, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. Did not greet me (say hello) or shake my hand upon arrival. Basic meet and greet protocol. However I gave them a chance and signed up anyway because they don’t offer any free trials. After my first week this is my assessment. It’s just as crowded with extremely old machines over hoarded by gym members. Dusty and filthy place overall. Carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in 20 years. Jacuzzi’s in the restroom are always closed. Sauna is also closed every other day.Very y pleased and not worth your money at all. Spend a few more bucks and go to Equinox

I enjoy this gym. It offers a variety of classes and 2 pools. There are relaxing saunas and hot tub. It is well kept and clean. Able to get a coffee and more since there is a Starbucks inside the facility.

Prime Time is a fantastic gym. It has the only racquetball courts on the peninsula. I'll bet you $10 you can't sneak in or out past the front desk without being welcomed or wished a good day.Despite being quite busy, I have never wanted for a place to park or had to wait long for a piece of equipment, court, or shower. The cleaning staff is amazing. They are omnipresent and the place is pretty spotless. Some machines are showing their age, but most everything feels new which makes me think they have a good rotation of replacing and servicing equipment.Oh...and heated pool. Not too warm like bath water...or the jacuzzi they have. Warm enough so you're not freezing in the pool on a cold day. It's worth mentioning that every other patron I've encountered has been nothing less than polite and there are plenty of friendly faces who might say hi. I've also never seen anyone fail to wipe down the equipment after they have used it or leave the locker room in a mess.I'm very happy to be a member of a gym where both the staff and the members take care of and take pride in the place.Definitely pricey, but completely worth it.

I have been a member on and off for 30 years. This is the best family club around with something for everybody. The addition of the cafe was huge and so useful! We love spending summers at the pool. The kids can spend all day in the water! The huge price increase during the pandemic has made it a little pricey for those of us with larger families, but with there being limited options, we make it work and try to enjoy all of the clubs amenities.

I've been a member for a few months now and while I'm not going as often as I'd like, I've been so, so happy with the offerings. This place has got it all with lots of space, and it's less expensive than the equinox in downtown San Mateo. For me, the biggest benefits are arguably in what would be considered "value adds." Because they have a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, I am able to both wind up and relax, which means I'm incentivized to go for any reason. Feeling cold? Go sit in the steam room! Wanna work out but don't wanna do traditional cardio? Check out a racquet and go play racquetball or go swimming. All in all, I've been enjoying myself, and at a price point that's expensive enough it makes me feel guilty if I don't go, but not so expensive I had to opt out entirely. Very happy here :-)

super cool 1980's style family health club "spa" has a more then adequate 2 story weight room and also a 2 floor men's locker room featuring a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, open communal showers, a separate swimming pool locker room (with open showers), a Starbucks, and a large tv viewing lounge.

Caveat emptor ("let the buyer beware") -- Prime Time advertises itself as family-friendly. However, I recently discovered that they have been withdrawing monthly dues from my credit card for the past four years, even though I have never stepped foot in their club. It turns out that when our daughter was 15 years old and attending high school, she used my credit card number to visit the club with some of her friends from school. She only visited the club a total of five times. After providing my credit card so she could do so, I never heard anything else about it, and, in four years, I never received any correspondence from the club. Therefore, I had no idea they were withdrawing from my account all that time. I thought she had tried it out and moved on, as teenagers often do. I only discovered the situation because the card they had on file expired and they tracked down my daughter to demand a new card. When I called Prime Time to explain the situation, including that our family has not lived in California since the pandemic began, and asked for a fair resolution, Prime Time had zero compassion. Even after they understood precisely what had happened, realized she had only attended five times, and acknowledged they never sent me (the payor) any correspondence, their stance was that it was our problem, not theirs. They understood clearly that what we were talking about was the innocent mistake of a teenager. Nevertheless, they insisted they saw no problem with taking and keeping the roughly $6,000 they withdrew from my credit card over the past four years. Legally, they may or may not be in the right. I cannot speak to that since I have no idea what is in their contracts since I never received one. Morally, however, I'll let you be the judge. Family-friendly? As an adult, would you sleep well at night knowing you were financially benefiting from exploiting a teenager's naivete and lack of experience?

The reception/management staff is extremely inflexible (I'm inclined to say they have a stick up their you-know-what) when it comes to dealing with guest passes. They would let my husband watch our kid in the pool (not use any of their facilities, just sit and keep an eye on the child!) - but not me because my name was not on the pass! We were thinking of buying membership there, but definitely not planning to any more.

My immediate family and I have been members for the last few years, during which I had End Stage Renal Failure due to an autoimmune disease. When Covid hit I was unable to safely go anywhere in public per doctor's orders. I provided multiple doctors notes to the Club in order to keep extending a hold on my family's membership. I had a transplant last year but still was unable to go out in public obviously due to my intense recovery from surgery as well as Covid not being over. I called (in hindsight it was stupid of me not to email for a paper trail) in October of 2021 and spoke to a manager who assured me that I didn't need to provide an additional doctor's note due to my ongoing recovery and Covid still being rampant. A few days ago noticed that Prime Time charged (four days apart) on our credit card, dues for April and May of this year. Went in to rectify and explain the discrepancy and that our membership was supposed to still be on hold as I was informed per a staff member of theirs. The manager Jerry actually said "What do you expect me to do?" and got up and walked out with no additional verbal communication. After sitting there for ten minutes another staff member was sent in and they refused to budge on redacting the charges ($400) despite being informed that THEIR staff member assured me I didn't need to provide an additional hold. It was especially disconcerting that they refused to even compromise and issue a partial refund as they had zero compassion that no one in my household has worked for over three years or for my medical situation which has been financially taxing. Completely unacceptable as there was no resolution. Let Jerry run the business into the ground. They preferred to have $400 rather than keep a family membership happy who would have spent thousands of dollars a year for the next twenty years. We won't ever rejoin and we will not ever speak of them in a positive light again. Terrible business decision on their end.
