As the weather is beginning to get hot out of nowhere my A/C stopped working these guys uncovered the root cause it was a frayed wire fixed it the same day brilliant investigative work. Great job now I cool as a cucumber A/C working great.

I just left this shop after having Mike perform a pre-purchase inspection. This is the 2nd time I've trusted Mike & his team to inspect a vehicle for me & it was worth it because the 1st vehicle was hiding some future nightmares that Mike & his team revealed. That allowed me to avoid a money pit which resulted in finding the 2nd vehicle that turned out to be a pretty solid choice.
I also trusted Mike as my only mechanic on a past vehicle & if I had kept it it would still be running & that's saying alot about Mike's knowledge & ability because that specific vehicle was a 2005 Nissan Xterra.....a very problem prone SUV. I 2nd guessed Mike's assessment of the reason for a rough/ dying idle i was experiencing. Make a long story short.......he was right & I could have saved alot of money & stress if I would have trusted him like I had done up to that point. Live & learn.
Leaving his shop earlier felt like coming home in a good, nostalgic kind of way. Integrity, trust & reliability are hallmarks of Mike & his team, along with the knowledge & skill to solve your automotive issue. I highly recommend On Trac Automotive

Can't say enough good things about Mike and the team at On-Track. He helped me in a pinch with a AC recharge before a holiday weekend. He was also looking at car tires and saw they were pretty beat, he was to busy to take on the work so he referred me to another shop who were able to do tires in the same day. Really appreciate the genuine approach. Will definitely bring cars back to Mike and the team at On-Track.Services: Air conditioning

Thank you Mike! I originally took my car to the San Francisco Honda dealership, and was quoted a crazy amount to replace the power steering pump. After that sticker shock, I took my car to On Track Automotive. Mike helped me out and was honest, reliable, and trustworthy. He fixed my car for an honest and fair price - unlike the dealership! I highly recommend taking your car to Mike.

2 times since moving to Burlingame have I been stuck on the side of I-280 with a problem I knew I couldn't fix myself. 2 times did we easily call Mike at On Track Automotive, after being one of the only auto shops to respond to our inquiries, and get taken in day of for extremely high quality and personable auto service. My car went from the dashboard looking like a christmas tree to no lights at all. I've only had the chance to talk with Mike extensively, but I appreciate his willingness to share information and lead a team of well knowledged mechanics. Big thank you to the team at On Track for saving me from disaster multiple times. And I'm happy to give them more of my business in the future.

Here is the summary:For over 7 months Michael Anthony Genardini, the owner of On Track Automotive said he'd fix our car, but he never even ordered the part, which I learned after forcing Mike to let me talk to his part dealer.Our insurance company, USAA, noted Mike had a big motive to hang onto our car indefinitely as he got $25 a day for storage, which was undisclosed to us until 12/30/2022.Mike ended up getting $4300.25 for storage, and he would have only made about $1000 if he'd actually done the repair. Here's the detailed account:Mid-May our 2011 Toyota Prius catalytic converter was stolen. I called Mike and asked if he could replace our catalytic converter for our 2011 Prius, and he said "yes, I can get the part and have it fixed in a week". So we had our car towed to his shop. Then a few days later he said "I was wrong and it'll be 8-12 weeks to get the part". We asked if we should have the car towed away until he got the part and he said "no problem, just leave the car here". Then I called mid-July to ask for an update and he said "I'm still not able to get the part but we're in the queue and I should have the part in late August". He also stressed us out by misplacing our paperwork.I called again in late August and he said "oh this part is really hard to get, but I'll have the part on October 24th" and then he kept throwing a red-herring saying USAA is hard to get ahold of, and that's the opposite of reality. USAA is the easiest.I called Mike again in mid-October and he says "the part ETA is now late-November". I asked him if we've been in the queue since mid-May and he said "yes, we've been in the queue since mid-May but the part is scarce and it's just taking a long time for them to be made". I asked him for his parts dealer contact info, and he gave me the run around for weeks and finally gave me a fake contact.Late-November came and went with no word from Mike and of course no fixed car. Mid-December I called Mike and he said "yes, the parts dealer still doesn't have the part" so I asked him again for the name of his parts dealer. He said "my parts dealer is Victory Toyota in San Bruno they're the one I've been in the queue to get the part" and I confirmed the name and location with him several times. I called Victory Toyota and they said "yes, we do sell catalytic converters to the public or repair shops, and yes we know Mike from On Track Automotive, but no we don't have any order from Mike or anyone at On Track Automotive for a late model Toyota Prius catalytic converter".A few days before Christmas I called USAA and arranged to have our car towed to another repair shop. I then called Mike and let him know we're taking our business elsewhere, and we want him to release our car to the tow company USAA will send over.After a week I don't hear anything, so I call USAA. It turns out Mike had accepted the tow contract, and once again did nothing but collect more storage fees. I let USAA know that Mike is not to be trusted at all, and they must get another tow company.So yeah that sucked!

Recently moved to the area, so was looking for a new auto mechanic. Found Mike and On Track Automotive on Yelp since they had such great reviews, and gave them a try for a 90K service. Mike was able to get me in the next day, thoroughly explained what they would do before the service, and gave me honest feedback after the service on what I should fix vs what could wait. Will definitely be using them as our go-to car mechanic from now on!

Mike is very attentive and makes sure to go thru your entire car and suggest things to be done to keep the car in perfect running condition. I only go to On Track Automotive for all my Lexus services and have done so for many, many years. I highly recommend them!Service: Oil change
