I was hoping to find somewhere else to take my Acura since I feel as if the dealer is just ripping me off these days and I lost my trust in them. Someone has to pay for the fancy building, large staff and donuts after all! Pleased to have found Nicks, took my car for a service and they were professional, knowledgeable and timely not to mention fair pricing! I will definitely go back.

Did a great job for me. Place is now owned by a nice guy named Steve. Honest and patient, he was able to explain to me my car's issue in lay terms. He quoted me before doing anything. And he delivered timely. I had a battery and alternator issue which was expensive but because the process was fair, it was less painful. Would definitely go back. I recommend if if you don't want to or can't go to the dealership. Location is close to Millbrae BART and easy uber to San Mateo.

Thankful for being able to meet and converse with you for hours on end. Reminded me of the gritty and no nonsense attitude my grandfather displayed. Loved to hear him talk about his son Collin and his daughter Nicole. From one friend to another I wanted to thank you and let you know that you will be missed and though you felt your immediate family was small the larger family you established in business extends further than you know it. Went in no more than 8 months ago to get an oil change and to have my headlights replaced just because I wanted brighter ones. I was charged 100 for the two light bulbs and 50 for labor plus the cost of the oil change. I didn't say anything since it was done. Today, one my headlights which I replaced went out today. My previous headlights worked for the past 6 years and still worked when I replaced them. It makes me question whether the part used was brand new.

I was a customer of Nick's Honda for a couple years, and although his rates are very competitive, the quality of service was pretty darn poor. One time, his mechanic forgot to screw on 5 lugnuts on my car after the service. Another time, they replaced my front rotors with brand new "acura genuine parts", only for me to come back to get them re-surfaced TWICE because they weren't installed correctly the first time (though I wasn't charged). Finally, they had misread the readings on my rear brake pads causing them to wear down to the bone before getting them eventually replaced. All these caused me to eventually move to another mechanic, who told me that my front rotors weren't Acura genuine parts. So I'm glad I moved on. Nick might have retired and he was a good guy, but unfortunately his mechanics were just too careless.

Nick has sold his business. It is now Japanese Auto Care. Took my car in this morning and found out they changed owners. They now service all Japanese cars.

When my 1991 Gen 4 Honda Accord started sounding like a boat, I went to yelp to find a good place to take it in. I called Nick's and he said if I was able to come in first thing in the morning, he could take a quick look the following morning. I agreed and when he opened his doors the following morning, he got my Accord on his lift, instructed his mechanic to put his hand on a certain part of the exhaust, and told me exactly what the issue was. He then recommended an exhaust place around the corner that should be able to repair it for less than $100. While I was in, he addressed another minor issue where the door trim was rubbing against the front fender by instructing the mechanic to pop the fender out an inch with basically a screwdriver. When I asked how much it came to, he said there was no charge. He got me in and out in time that I wasn't late for work and provided a service with value and didn't charge me anything. I would not hesitate to recommend Nick's to anyone with a Honda or an Acura based on my brief interaction. No complaints at all.

I was on a road trip to the Bay Area and on the first day my steering wheel was violently shaking when I applied the brakes. Usually when something like this occurs it means that the brake rotors are warped somehow. Since I was not in San Diego, I couldn't call my normal repair shop. I knew I was going to be in the SF area on Thursday. I checked Yelp for Honda specialist and I came upon Nick's. He got some good reviews so I gave him a call. Told him my situation and he said he could take care of it. Came in on Thursday - have to admit that I wasn't impressed with the way his garage looked, but we all know that looks aren't everything. We discussed the situation and I told him that I wanted new OEM rotors and pads. I knew that it was going to cost me a pretty penny but I wanted the best for my Honda Odyssey and my family. Four hours later I came to pick up my car. Later that week on my trip back down to San Diego from SF, my brakes worked PERFECTLY. I would definitely recommend his shop for any Honda/Acura work. Nick's Honda and Acura Service is a very well-organized shop. Alberto gives me his honest opinion. The trust I have in this shop to be fair is well worth any inconvenience on my end. Great, friendly service! Alberto fixed the problem I had with very short notice given. This is my go-to mechanic. This place was highly recommended to me. They always go above and beyond. If you want to get your car fixed at an honest price this is your best bet.
