I went to Gray's paints based on the recommendation of my painter and had a great experience beyond what I expected. The staff was very helpful in helping me choose the right type of paint and stains needed for my project. And more importantly, Terri (their color consultant) was incredibly helpful to me in picking out colors for my kitchen. I made some bold color changes to my kitchen and her guidance was invaluable, even on subtle differences (e.g. steering me towards a cooler tan vs. a pinkish one to better complement my other colors). The new colors in my kitchen bring me so much joy every day and I'm grateful for her help!

Second edit: after a phone conversation with the manager, I came in to the store and everything was fixed. I’ve now got another coat of paint on the wall and all is well. The manager is very experienced and knowledgeable.Update: I opened this can of fresh paint and started applying it to the wall, only to find large flecks of color as I went. It was not mixed thoroughly.I just have to laugh, because I walked into this paint store for the very first time today, only to be told that I was crazy for wanting to pick out colors from a painting to use for an accent wall ON A SATURDAY. Directed to the color samples upfront, within 30 seconds I turn around to find another employee has voluntarily engaged a nice young couple a few feet away from me consulting on the colors they wanted to pick out. Okay??? Am I missing something?I picked my color and re-engaged with the grizzled old guys in the back. A few minutes and $57 later, I walked out with my gallon of paint.I like supporting local independent shops and it’s nice that this one is not crowded, but it was not a great experience customer service wise.

Gray's Paint is the best. I've used them for many years. I recently required some paint to touch up in preparation for a project. They don't carry the same paint brand (from Gray's probably 12 yrs ago) so Jeff had to do a specialized color and I was delighted that it matched PERFECTLY! Patricia was very helpful in lining me up, too. Great experience. ?
