I had a great experience with my designer, store manager Antonette, who helped me select terrific fabrics for several projects: reupholstered couch and new pillows; new box seat and roman shades for a window seat, and new cushions for my dining room chairs. In all cases Antonette gave me a multitude of options/suggestions, offering her (spot-on) opinion when asked, being very patient with me. Doing this kind of project isn't my thing - in fact I typically find it painful - and Antonette made it fun. There was a hiccup with one of my 8 fabrics placed on back-order...and that back-order extending time and time and time again, but Antonette made it right by discounting that purchase. I look forward to doing business with Calico Corners in Burlingame again.

A horrible experience from start to finish. Very disappointing as I have shopped there for 20+ years. Communication is poor. I had dining room chairs re-upholstered . Job was done incorrectly, sent back after more fabric needed to be ordered (quoted that it would take 1 week ) . Weeks later I had to call for update after being told mine was a rush order since it was their mistake. Ordered in June and just picked up the cushions and it is November ! 5 months for 6 chair cushions ! What makes it worse is there was no accountability or apology . Antonette is very rude and not a good display of a manager. Thankfully, I am pleased with final product but I will never shop there again or refer them to anyone.L. The fabric choices are great. However, I received a defective product (window shades) and asked numerous times for assistance and was constantly postponed with an answer, or lack of answer. The customer service is poor, and staff were not very helpful. I went elsewhere to complete the rest of my project.Service: Window design

Trying to get my high-quality furnishings recovered through Calico is ridiculous. They must only recover in 24k gold foil, as their recovering prices are waaaay over the top. Hard pass!

I would give them a zero if I could. I've done business with other Calico stores in the past (CorteMadera and Pleasant Hill ) and have been extremely happy with both the quality of the work and the wonderful service. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the Burlingame shop. It started with sending the measurement staff to the wrong address, completely wrong city. When my drapes finally arrived, months later, the panels were all wrong. Had them remade and then they were shipped to yet another wrong address (unknown to me). They never even called to to say they were coming. The drapes ended up being lost and not able to be retrieved. So back to the drawing board and they had to be remade yet again! I incurred additional cost which I was too exhausted at this point to fight with them about. Dori and Antoinette who work there are nice, but completely incompetent or overworked. There is more to complain about such as billing that is impossible to reconcile then a threat to take me to collections. Do yourself a favor and go to another Calico location if you want good reliable service.

I found this air purifier online that was perfect for what i needed! Great price so i decided to buy. Next thing i know the shipping takes way longer than originally expected. Ok. No big deal bc I'm still getting a great deal. Well, that was a fail because the package never arrived and the customer service was no help at all and actually won't answer my emails. I don't trust this company or anything they sell.

I ordered new window treatments after a remodel. I remodeled 2 bathrooms and the kitchen in 7 months. The window treatments were ordered in 1/2019 and not completely finished until 10/31/2019! The difficulties with the window treatments were more difficult than the rest of entire remodel process. The living room drapes needed to be redone because they were made too narrow. I was told "you approved the measurements" although I had their installer do the measurements. The bathroom valence was also made too small. They would not expedite the remake and it got pushed to the back of the schedule-as did the reinstallation date. They did not have the necessary accessories and said I did not order them. How was I to know how many hooks to order? That should have been part of the ordering process. Although everything else was being installed, I was not told that the headboard installation was not included. I had to pay someone else to do it. I requested a credit of 10 %. I was initially given a 2.5 % credit. Ultimately I received a 5 % credit. No where near enough for the repeated phone calls, visits to the store and difficulties with the order.

Highly recommend Calico in Burlingame. I took an antique rocker in and had the seat reupholstered and could not be happier. High quality work, great selection of fabrics and very helpful staff - all for a reasonable price.

Absolutely the worst. First they struggled to find my special ordered fabric - ie I paid for it and it was lost! Then, my sofa was promised within 10-12 weeks. It's now at 14 weeks and they are unable to locate it's whereabouts. Now, it will be late for holidays. No one at store has been able to help. NEVER shopping here again!

Andrew Huang has been my go-to guy at Calico Burlingame for two years and five projects. His attentive service and attention to detail has been unfailingly excellent. He has consistently gone above and beyond to make sure a large sectional sofa, draperies and many custom pillows were completed to perfection. Some of these projects were for design clients; others were for my own home. Several were complicated. Andrew called suppliers and workrooms to nail down exacting measurements and fabrication. Andrew is particularly skilled at making sure his customers receive every discount and mark-down that is available. Once my current project is completed, I look forward to spending hours in the Calico Burlingame showroom choosing multiple fabrics, and working with Andrew to place my sixth order in two years. Thank you, Andrew, for being so great at what you do.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered drapes in January 2019 and just received them today. It took over 8 months for my drapes to arrive and be installed. The fabric was simple and very available but the first ones arrived with half of them shorter than the others. Was told expedited service would be available but after several unsuccessful attempts by the installer at picking up the drapes for "assessment" my husband took them down and drove to Burlingame to drop them off. After "assessment" the drapes were to be remade, 11 weeks later we received our drapes, which our credit card was charged for in full sometime in March. Dorie and her manager were virtually unavailable via email and did not return my phone calls. Terrible customer service. Do not buy window coverings here!

Calico did an amazing job recovering a large antique Victorian couch and making seat cushions for my dinning room chairs. The staff were friendly and professional in giving me the right guidance in picking out the perfect fabric. This company has a huge selection of fabric designs and the upholstery service is excellent. I can't wait for them to help me replace my drapes!

The staff is excellent!. Each member of the team headed by store manager Antonette is helpful, quite knowledgeable, friendly and very creative. I have been working on a home remodel project over the past 6 months working with Dori Lynn as my design consultant. She is always in tune with my project(s) and spends many hours thinking of fabrics to introduce to each project, she is so fun and an absolute pleasure to work with. The entire team Antonette, Dori, Andrew and Sofia have made my experience at Calico simply the best!. My home has come to life and its thanks to the beautiful fabric selections the store has, the dedicated team and quietly of the end product. I highly recommend you stroll into Calico for your next home decor project.

I used Calico Corners for two previous homes and had excellent results. This third experience was difficult. My biggest frustration and anger point was that Calico Corners did the measuring for the windows (you pay for this). One set of curtains were beautiful and perfect. The other set was a draping shade and it was made too small for the window. The installer sent the manager a picture immediately. No response. Our phone calls were not returned. Calico Corners has a new manager and I am very disappointed in her lack of response. I would not recommend using Calico Corners anymore since they do not take personal responsibility.

I have been working on a home remodel project and I am SO HAPPY I selected Calico Corners for my furnishing purchases, recovering projects and window treatments. The staff is friendly, imaginative and quite knowledgable of the numerous fabric lines and products available through Calico. Dori Lynn is my saleswoman/design consultant and is fabulous to work with. Dori has a fantastic eye and imagination for each room we have worked on, so much so I now just say "Dori is always right" because she is when it comes to bringing the room to life!!. Its actually a lot of FUN being in the store calling on the expertise of Store Manager Antionette, Andrew, Sophia and Dori, collectively the are a great team. I have interfaced with each team member and appreciate the service I receive while I am in the store and corresponding for one item or another. I HIGHLY recommend Calico!!!!. AC of Burlingame
