MoveAuto took a overwhelming experience to a great one. I worked with Stephanie to get my 2016 Honda CRV shipped from Washington, DC to Seattle. I was not in any rush and got the car in 11 days. I could not be happier with the process. It was smooth, communication with Stephanie, Monica, and and the driver Zach was great. I was really happy with the price point as well. I had heard about companies that keep charging for extra costs, but that was not the case for me. One and done. Thank you so much! (Picture below of when I got my car to Seattle. They delivered it at 5 AM, earlier than expected, but so pleased with the seamless process)

We recently used Move Auto to transport our car from California to Florida. Move Auto seems like quite an honest company. Their rate was a bit lower than some of the quotes from similar companies. The staff were for the most part easy to communicate with. The car arrived (the day after a hurricane) within the time frame they quoted. The car was unloaded in a safe place within a short walking distance from where I live. The car was in good shape when we received it.

I called on a Wednesday and needed cars picked up no later than the following Monday. Both cars were picked up later than day and delivered within 48 hours. Great customer service with storage options if necessary. Had tried another company with poor communication and that never found someone to pick up the car.

I was a little apprehensive about shipping a vehicle, having never done it before and having read all the horror stories on internet reviews of other companies. Everything went well with the transport of my vehicle. All American was recommended to me by a trucking company that I had initially contacted, but that couldn't pick up my vehicle during my time frame. When I called All American, the order was taken and an email sent right away with an estimate. The truck driver called and arranged to pick up the vehicle on the first day of the window. My son who was on the shipping end said the driver and an office staffer kept in close contact with him until the vehicle was picked up. While en route I heard from the driver and we arranged for the delivery within a week of pick up. I signed the paperwork and we were done. Final price was the same as the estimate. No surprises. Excellent service.

It goes without saying that moving across the country is one of the most stressful life events. And I think Patrick really does try to work with you and provide excellent customer service. He’s responsive and throughout the process he communicates how things will work. However, after you’ve signed the contract and you’re assigned a coordinator the level of communication, empathy, and responsiveness takes a nose dive.
Be prepared to be met with vague responses about where your car is, when it’s arriving, and to be made to feel like a crazy person when you try to get specifics. Also, be prepared to rent a car for two weeks—especially if you’re moving to the East Coast. Also, be prepared to take a Lyft or Uber to get your car from the driver. They’ll reimburse you but nobody prepared me for that possibility before signing the contract. I thought it was door to door service. Not the hugest deal, but I think over communication does wonders when you’re moving because it’s such a messy process and every bit of clarity helps.
Overall, I think they are a good company. But if you need a greater line of sight into how things work after your car hits the road you may be disappointed. In a world where I can track my drink at Starbucks in real time, I kinda expect a little more in being able to know where my car is and when I can expect to receive it. The contrast between tracking an $8.00 purchase versus a $35,000 purchase is quite striking, yes? It’s been a jarring experience overall y’all. So I’d say carefully consider what you need for peace of mind.

We hired MoveAuto in January to ship our car ~ 1300 miles cross country from the bay area and everything went perfectly. I chose this company for their good service record and competitive pricing. The best part of MoveAuto is that they have a n in-person location in Burlingame. We were able to use our car right to the minute we needed it before we left, then dropped it off to their office for them to ship out in the next few days. They even paid for the rideshare to the airport. This was a great service as most car shippers pick up directly from you and give you a 2-3 day window for when they will pick up which can be a big inconvenience if you are moving out and need to know when you have your car. Drop off at delivery location was easy to coordinate. The first drop off time didn't work for our schedule so we found an alternative day and the car arrived exactly as we left it (minus road dust). I would definitely use MoveAuto again!

Car was picked up and delivered promptly and without damage. Unfortunately, the communication and notices for pick up and delivery was extremely poor, driver gave us 15 minutes notices in both cases and made the whole process quite messy. For the delivery we had to ask someone to be there but 15-min notice was not really ideal, the driver could not speak English and properly communicate with us and went to the wrong address making us waste about 4 hours waiting after rushing there for delivery. Overall ok but not ideal. We were given $50 refund for wasting the day waiting for the lost driver.

Was at first skeptical about auto move companies but happened to find this one and did some research on it. Very trustworthy company and also fast shipping (ships within 2-3 days depending on your location). I was shipping my car from Texas to Bay Area round trip and they all had amazing communication ensuring that my car was en route. Frankie was great and had excellent customer service along with Monica and Kayla. They make sure your car is delivered in good condition and that you check for any damage prior and after delivery. Great price for their service and they don't try to scam you in any way.

We worked with Ricardo. Very unprofessional and bad communication. I let Move Auto know the trouble we had with him. They said they would let HR know. Not sure if he was a subcontractor, but he wasn’t great. The way he thought it was okay to text and communicate with a customer like that isn’t professional. Screenshots provided.
Here’s the story— we had planned to pickup the car Monday night btwn 5-8pm. I left work early as I am an hour away. He said that he would call an hour before when he was an hour out. I had my neighbors on standby as they were going to drive me to the pickup location (30 min each way). He never called, I had to reach out to him and he told me that he wasn’t going to be able to make it that night. That was fine, my neighbors were able to pickup the car for me the next day as I couldn’t miss work the day of the pickup. The issue was with the driver’s communication and lack of professionalism. Screenshot below, where he was upset that he had to wait a couple of minutes as my neighbor was on their way.
The morning of the pickup, he texted me, “I’m on my way” and I replied with, “ok great I’ll let my neighbors know” and he responded with, “you’re confusing me”… he said he texted me on accident and that it was meant for the customers ahead of me. When I explained to him that miscommunication could have waisted an hour of my neighbors time as the drive into town would have accumulated to an hour and they’re going out of their way to help me, he said, “oh yeah, no worries” over the phone. Completely out of touch, irresponsible, and unprofessional. He also never let me know that the car was successfully dropped off. Asked me to do the research for him between locations, isn’t this what your dispatch is for? This is the talent that this company hires? We do not recommend working with Ricardo from Sacramento.
The way he was trying to scold me and explain to me that he has to be held up when he made us have to move things around on our schedules is ridiculous. This guy is completely incompetent and makes this company look really bad.

From start to finish, MoveAuto delivered an exceptional experience. The receptionist at the Burlingame drop-off location was incredibly friendly and professional. The benefit of a complimentary airport drop-off was a huge time-saver! Communication throughout the process was fantastic. I received clear updates on timing and details of the drop-off, keeping me informed every step of the way. Thank you Kayla.
Another stand-out was Edward, the driver. He exemplified excellent customer service, combining friendliness, efficiency, and flexibility with clear communication while delivering the car in perfect shape.
Overall, MoveAuto exceeded my expectations. Not only did they offer the best price compared to other quotes, but their entire team provided exceptional service that made the car transport process stress-free. I highly recommend MoveAuto to anyone in need of car shipping services!

Awful experience. Would never recommend Scheduled pickup date was a week late. They had it stored at a towing company who then asked for us to pay luckily that towing company was nice enough to wait for moveauto to pay the storage fee. Nothing but issues and communication problems.
