This was my best shoe shopping experience. They literally helped me rid of my knee pain with the best shoe selection. Totally recommend this shop to anybody who wants to get a good pair of running shoes.

I had a wonderful experience with the store, and Nick, the associate who assisted me. He did a gait analysis and helped me try on so many shoe options. I was able to find a pair of shoes that suited my training needs. Will definitely be back for my future running needs!

I needed a pair of so-called super shoes for an upcoming marathon. After visiting a few stores with poor selection or limited sizes in stock (I'm size 12), I was delighted by the selection at A Runner's Mind (five or six size 12 super shoes in stock from Adidas, Asics, New Balance, Nike, Saucony). Heidi let me try every shoe on the turf area behind the store and I chose the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4.
My one recommendation would be to get a treadmill in the store - normally the shop allows customers to try shoes on the sidewalk in front of the store, but plated shoes are limited to the small backyard (also no returns on plated shoes) where it was hard to gauge much beyond fit. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

We had an absolute 5 star experience with Derek! He helped us try various models, asked us to do a walk test to understand our gait and purpose and even patiently helped us try various colors. We wound up buying 3 pairs and highly recommended this store to all our friends!

Excellent service and customer care. I walked in, and was quickly attended. They heard my needs, did an assessment and measurements, before recommending sizing and brands. I was fitted into a very comfortable set of shoes and am quite happy with them.

A team member asks you to run while they record you and then go over what shoes are best for your individual needs. Shoes can make or break my performance, especially when training or running races. Thus, I appreciate the recommendations are for me rather than it being the latest shoe. For instance, after my analysis, I came to learn I have a neutral gait and got the recommendation for Saucony's. Having run in Asics and Brooks for years, I am grateful I now have another shoe in my rotation. Knowledgeable Staff: A Runner's Mind Burlingame staff are knowledgeable. I have come here several times, and in each instance, team members have been able to answer my question. For example, I have a few shoes on rotation while I train, and they have been able to give me tips on what shoes are best for workouts, such as long runs versus tempo and speed. No Pressure to Buy:

It's my first time at the store and Adrian was super helpful! I came into this store based on a coworker's recommendation for my upcoming half marathon. I was looking for new training and potentially race shoes, since I've always ran previous halves with regular athletic shoes that left my ankles and feet feeling stiff. Adrian measured me for my shoe size and did a gait analysis for me--turns out I've been using shoes that were too small this whole time! I had also suspected some protonation or bunion problems but they turned out to be not as bad as I thought, so Adrian told me I won't actually need as much stability in my shoes. He quickly picked out several pairs of shoes ranging from different brands (Hoka, Saucony and ASICS) for me to try based on the qualities I liked about the first pair I tested (New Balance), and I was happy to have picked out 2 for purchase: ASICS Novablast 3 for speed work and ASICS Gel-Nimbus 25 for recovery runs. Then he identified the level of support I needed in my insoles. I also got some targeted compression socks and energy gels based on his recommendation. I spent about an hour here for this visit on a Saturday afternoon, which was a bit busy but Adrian was very patient and attentive still. I think the prices are fair and compares to what you'd find online, but overall it's way better to have a physical store to try on the shoes to really know your preference. It also helps that they have friendly and knowledgeable staff here that can help take the guesswork out of picking what you need. 10/10 recommend coming here!
