Purchased a sub sandwich on 7/4/24. Today 7/5/24 I began to remove bread so that I can add mayo and found this bug sandwiched between the cheese and lettuce. In normal circumstances I would simply throw it away, however Vons is a place I frequent often, so I wanted to alert management on what I found. I took proper documentation of the bug in the sandwich and threw it away. I happened to be nearby so I went to speak with someone about what I found. A manager happened to be on register. I was immediately met with doubt that this could have happened at the store, they stated that the bug must have gotten there when I ate outside. I DID NOT eat outside, I only opened the sandwich inside. I was a bit dismayed by their lack of concern for what I may have ingested or the potential health hazards. Instead I was told that the sandwiches were made fresh every day and that their standards are high. I understand that mistakes happen and things surely can slip by protocols. So this review is mainly on the customer service provided. It was accusatory and lacked professionalism. Dealing with a manager I was rather shocked that that asked to see the pictures again, and began to scroll through the photos. I then was asked if I wanted get ANOTHER SANDWICH! To say I was disappointed was understatement, I insisted on my money back, again no apology extended for the inconvenience, just a simple here’s your money and a walk away. Please avoid this location, as it seems management does not take health hazards seriously.

Terrible customer service. Claudia the supervisor is rude and yells at staff and customers. Even a checker told me to please report her because she is awful to her staff. This checker, she is always so nice and friendly. The older shorter Hispanic male who appears to be the main manager also yells at customers and is very rude. He berates his staff. These people always think your stealing. I have heard them yell at customers asking if they stole something. Who does this? I wish one would grab me and accuse me of this. I would get a lawyer. In the canned responses the same reply is given. Why is NOTHING done about these people??? People complain and zero is done. Dont get me started about Dennis. Do you not have enough staff? Are they vested with the Union and they can be as rude as they like? I can see a lawsuit by staff for hostile work environment. Store is dirty and whoever does the ordering here is NOT doing their job. Item after item not available. Maybe Coorporate needs to really get involved here. I won't shop there any longer. Whole Foods and Trader Joes is where I will give my money. Excellent customer service at both stores.

There is a worker named Tony or Johnny. Doesn’t wear glasses think he is Hispanic. He was working the freezer on Aile 5. This was at 9:35pm last night. Very rude, unhinged is best way to describe him. I asked him for help to find a product he said I was bothering him and proceeded to lecture me. I shop here all the time and I remember once a woman called him a racist as I was shopping there and I didn’t think much of it. But now I believe there is fire underneath that smoke.or maybe he was hungry or hadn’t had a break but there is still no excuse. If you don’t want to help shoppers or customers please go and work in a warehouse.Amazon is always hiring. Or say I am quite busy we will ask those that can help us. A lot of shoppers complain about him and his rudeness. The other employees are very sweet especially day shift but him he is trouble .vons should not be hiring colorists or misogynistic people

Shelves were basically empty. They were getting ready to stock. Police had to be called in cos someone had threatened to kill an employee. Floors were dirty. Parking lot was dirty. Only good thing is it’s open 24hrs, which is rare nowadays.

They have a nice selection of organic coconut vegan drinks and other types of how very good foods. The problem is they don't have other options for other items. I enjoy but overall they are relatively good and not as expensive as other big-name stores!
