Not a good experience for me. Bad communication and poor quality of work which has already broken less than two weeks after having the clock back from him. He had the clock for close to four months for the simplest repair.I’ll start off by saying that as a self-employed business owner myself, I do understand there are anomalies in your Quality of service from time to time. However, my experience Did leave me feeling a little bit cheated. I brought my antique clock in which was running perfectly fine just to have the switch that silences the chime repaired. He told me his hourly rate, and I told him that I didn’t want to spend more than two hours on the clock, and if he thought it was gonna cost more that I will hold off on the repair. He believed he could fix it but also recommended doing some other Servicing which I knew it didn’t need just yet. Not only did it take close to four months for what was a relatively simple repair, he continued to drag his feet on the Repair, and give me the same story about its status, telling me that the door had broken off , and that it was because it was “cheap/soft soldering“ to blame. Every time he would give me a timeline of completion, he was never complete, and I could tell that he had not even worked on it since my last call. I finally drove down there to pick the clock up unannounced. He still had not addressed the repair of the broken door even though he had promised nearly a month prior that it would be done and asked me to come back few hours later!!. I said “no” , and that I would like to take the clock now and that I will have to take it somewhere else to have the work completed. He attempted to fix the door while I was there, and I waited for close to an hour. And then He complained that he put a substantially higher amount of time and work into the clock than he anticipated including the time he spent trying to repair the door claiming that he should be charging me another $125 just for that. I have had the clock back for about a week and a half now and the door has already broken back off. It was not closing properly to begin with, and he was calling it “Good enough…”Very disappointed with the overall communication and unapologetic attitude. I would be much more furious if he had actually charged me what he was claiming he should have charged for the same result.

This is a very delayed review on my end, but one I think is important to make. Overall I'm quite grateful with the folks at the Clock Specialist. I left my late grand mothers cuckoo clock with them and they were able to fix it. The repair to the clock was complex and it took them a significant amount of time to do it; however, I appreciate that: 1. They stuck to it for so long rather than bailing. 2. They put the quality of their work and craft first, so they took the time to ensure the work was properly done and tested. 3. They stick to their quoted prize even after so long. When I picked it up, they went through the repairs and instructed me on what the proper care for the clock was moving forward. I have had my grandmas clock back with me for several months now and I have not experienced any issues and their instructions on how to care for it have been on point.

Spent over $1200 to clean and repair three clocks (mind you he had one of the clocks in his shop for OVER 3 YEARS). When I called to see about replacing a weight hook on one of the serviced clocks (that by the way should have been repaired initially) I was told Greg's time is too valuable, he's not a parts warehouse and I could find it online. So much for trying to support a small business. I will no longer refer anyone to this business.

My Kit Kat clock, which has sentimental value to me, broke. I called two other clock fixers that were closer to me but they said it’s not worth fixing- just buy a new one. The Clock Specialist not only fixed my clock but called me once it was evaluated to let me know the options for fixing. And it was cheaper than buying a new clock. I highly recommend them!

The owner is a very talented and extremely experienced antique clock repair man! My 200 yr old French chiming clock was repaired expertly and, most importantly, with integrity in the service here. Another shop in the valley failed to fix the chime, but Greg quickly identified the problem and fixed it. A true gem of a resource in Burbank. Highly recommend, and will only use Clock Specialist from now on.

Does nice work. Took my cuckoo clock in for repair. A bit pricey, I could have purchased a new cuckoo clock for what he charged to repair.

I had a great experience with this place! I would highly recommend them for any and all of your clock needs! I brought in a custom face for a large clock and needed help with assembling the special hands. I was also in search of a second hand. Greg helped me find what I needed and accommodated my extremely tight deadline. This shop really went above and beyond for my project!
