I had a fear of doing hot yoga because I don't do well with heat and was scared I would faint or something. But a friend of mine swore to me that I would love it and it would help me with weight loss and helping my hormone balance. So I tried this studio when I was visiting LA.
I did a free first class for my first time because they had a promotion but I I had such a great experience that I signed up and did a 30 day challenge (for myself). I ended up losing 15 lbs and had never felt better in my life.
In my first class, I told the teacher my concerns, and she told me to set up by the door where it's cooler and that she would open the door at some points during the class. The instructor was very attentive and clearly knew her stuff. I later found out she owns the studio. Her name is Liz and she is fantastic.
And regarding the studio, it's one of the most beautiful Yoga places I've ever been to. Extremely clean and high end. The bathrooms and changing facilities are top notch. They even had blow dryers in the bathrooms, which is really rare to see.... And it's the little things that make this studio absolutely amazing.
When I had to leave LA, one of the saddest things was that I was leaving the studio. Where Liz has made a lovely and supportive community of not just great teachers. But the students as well. I've never been able to find a place to practice that's been as nice or have a better teaching experience. I'll always go back, when I'm in LA.

I was a member at Stretch for about 2 years.I have tried multiple studios in the area, and there is no place like Stretch! Liz and her team are the best in the business. If you want to improve yourself, look no further than Stretch!

Yoga was good. Teacher good. Lobby and entrance area + parking good. The flooring.. not a fan, don’t care how many times these places with those old surfaces tell you that it’s clean or slip safer. Room is HOT so the amount of sweat absorbed into it in a single day, week or month, just not me to want to be laying on it with my feet, arms and hands touching it.. nasty ? But room was packed and people didn’t seem to mind. Never seen more sweat on a yoga rooms mirrors ever in over a decade of studios. Literally top to bottom left to right with folks fluids all over the place

This studio is so beautiful and well kept. Going to yoga here feels like such a luxury compared to other studios I have been to. The teachers are amazing and have welcomed me back to the practice after a long break with open and welcoming arms. Would highly recommend!

The yoga is good but I’m taking off 2 stars because this place is stinky! I think they have carpet in there and that’s not very sanitary for hot yoga. Yuck. My mat has the stench still on it I have to air it out. Not coming back here

I started coming to Stretch in October of 2022 and after the first class I knew that I would be coming back immediately. The studio is very clean and spacious even when classes are full. EVERY SINGLE INSTRUCTOR is so passionate and encouraging which is so helpful when you are in such hot room! Yes it is challenging but after every class I feel incredible and stronger than I did before i came. I've enjoyed it so much so that I decided to do the teacher training and I'm so incredibly grateful that I did. The amount of knowledge and experience that Liz and Christian have is mind blowing and I've learned so much about yoga as well as myself. This has definitely been one of the best investments of my life and I am so excited for the future of my practice!! I matter what you may have heard, do yourself a huge favor for your mind and body and try it out! It will be one of the most rewarding challenges that you have ever come across.

Holy crap! Was I frickin exhausted after this in a way I hadn't been before. A friend of mine comes here regularly and he suggested it would be a good supplement to some of the other sports we do. I got another inexperienced friend to come with so I wouldn't feel bad about being so inflexible. I had done Bikram before and I thought that muscle memory would come back and help me out. It didn't.I was smoked during the warmup but it was fine because Danny was super encouraging even though he made a crack about doing another set of warmups. He even cracked the side door open because I'm pretty certain he saw me and my buddy dying in puddles. While it seems like I had a bad time I felt terrific afterwards and definitely felt encouraged to give Bikram another try. I appreciate Danny and everyone being some welcoming and being gracious to us noobs.

Amazing setting, amazing teachers! This studio puts their best supportive foot forward in helping you be your best version of yourself in this active mediation yoga practice. Last hot yoga class I did was 20 years ago in New York and I hated it. This studio has transformed my appreciation for this modality. Maybe it's being older and more present but the material and poses are presented in a very good supportive way from these excellent patient teachers. There is a great community of dedicated students. I love and appreciate that there are people of all walks of life from different shapes and ages. The teachers promote and practices stillness in strength and don't cut corners with each posture. I have improved my health in so many from years of damage from work. Can't say enough great words about this place.

What a great studio! Today was my essentially my first hot yoga class. Liz was an awesome instructor. She made sure that everyone felt welcome and supported.Although that class was challenging, I loved it and will definitely be back!

I just had my first hot yoga class and Liz made it an amazing, and welcoming, experience. The studio is beautiful and clean. Although that class was well-attended, I still felt like I had plenty of room. I loved the big windows and skylights. There was plenty of natural light. Best of all was the well-organized changing room, with lockers AND showers!I'll be back!!

Warning: Your first class is NOT free, even if Yelp says it is.Having just moved to Burbank, I was hoping to find a yoga studio to join nearby. I saw a button on Stretch's Yelp page to try out your first class free, so I signed up on their website. The website did not prompt me to pay in advance for the class, so I figured I was good to go.When I arrived for the class, the teacher was confused by my registration and said that there was no such thing as "your first class free" but to go on into the class and he'd figure it out after the class ended. After the class, he said Yelp likely screwed up and I would have to pay $30. If I had known that I would have had to pay full price, I would have simply asked for a tour of the facilities and left to consider coming back another time, likely with a class pack which is just a little more money. Unfortunately, I have no desire get a class pack now. The teacher who helped me was very unprofessional and unsympathetic, dismissing me most of the time to assist his regulars. I was certainly too distracted with this debacle all during the class to even enjoy the class that I ended up having to pay for. From a customer service perspective, I wish more was done since this situation was very uncomfortable and did not leave me feeling good.

I've been going to Bikram on and off since 2002. I started at the Costa Mesa studio, learned the basics there, went to the Irvine one, DTLA, Fullerton, south Pasadena, and Atwater. Out of all the studios I've been to, this one is the best. The studio seems like it was made for bikram. Spacious studio with non stinky carpet. I'll practice even if it's stinky, but it not being stinky is a plus.Another major plus is the multiple showers. I've never had to wait to shower. Also the water stations make it super convenient. But even if those were lacking, I'd still come for the amazing teachers. I've been doing Bikram for years and thought I had most moves down, but no. I've been corrected so much for little things that probably make a big difference. I think its really improved my practice. I feel taller and my posture is better and it's been less than a year. I didn't get this with my practice before and I've been to a few different studios.

This yoga takes at least a months worth of practice before you can truly give it a full and fair assessment so I would take people who award this place with one star with a pinch of salt. This practice I treat as my daily medicine as it works wonders on my aching body. Over Christmas 2021 I was badly injured through a sport called jiu jitsu. My back and ribs were in severe pain, I could barely move and unfortunately in the UK so unable to get to my yoga class (It's very hard to find 26/2 yoga in the UK!!!) So I tried to recreate my yoga practice at home as best I could, getting into the postures and stretching out my spine whilst taking many hot baths. I was back doing jiu jitsu the very next day! I believe it this yoga works miracles and I am forever telling training partners to get themselves in here. To top it off Stretch has a wonderful community, full of beautiful people and from the off I was welcomed in with open arms. It's comforting to have these people around me and I'm always excited to be there. OH and what a beautiful facility too!! It's always clean and they have water available on tap! Thank you for providing such a wonderful facility to practice in along with amazing teachers to help guide us.LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about it!
