I was pretty jazzed to visit Burbank and do a little check in. Was planning on getting a new scent and noticed the line as to the back of the door. I wish I had snagged the names but one girl looked incredibly stressed while holding her clipboard while I asked curious what was going on with the line (I hadn't seen my VIB email about a sale). They very unenthusiastically replied that he's there was a sale. I said that was great and asked what the same tiers were as I may have friends interested in signing up or perhaps already members plus, I thought I might buy a new fragrance. The first girl started to answer me and then the girl next to her just pointed at a sign as if I could "just read it". The only problem with that is that it was blocked from my view by the first girl. All in all disappointing as I didn't even need them to walk to help me with a product. They could have acted happy there was a sale instead of being catty and too busy to act like I wasn't inconveniencing them with two questions. The second girl who thought it was appropriate to silently point at a sign had a shirt bob, black hair. This was yesterday around 7ish PM near the front doors if anyone cares to look. I obviously didn't buy anything. I'll just go to my preferred Sephora or shop online elsewhere.

Customer service leaves much to be desired.
I went yesterday to buy a hair mask and as I made my way to the check out counter, the blonde young cashier didnāt even take a moment to look up and acknowledge me. It wasnāt until a couple of minutes passed that I had to ask if she was busy.
As I finished my purchase I asked if I could get some samples and her response was āmaybeā, bear in mind a big part of this interaction was done in such a way as if I was interrupting something, zero customer friendliness or service.
Whilst paying I selected in the POS that I was interested in opening up a credit card, again a request that was not acknowledged.
Donāt know about this unbothered attitude, but it definitely leaves me not wanting to go back. I can see that these reviews are frequent too so it makes me wonder what is actually being done to properly train employees.

Employees were friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately some products were out of stock... that's how it is.

Wow the customer service is HORRIBLE at this Burbank location; and because of that I come only if I have no other choice. The Sephora that I frequent is currently under remodel. I made a purchase with a gift card and when I noticed that she didnāt give it back I asked for it and wow what an attitude I received she probably wanted to pocket the remaining $100 balance on it. Thatās something to be aware of btw. All the young ladies here have a serious attitude issue how they have jobs idk !! That speaks of the people who hired them too. I would personally fire them all they donāt have the professional attitude nor look.

After reading the 1 star comments I was exited to visit this place, I drove 40 miles to reach it and I just want to tell you that I was disappointed, everyone welcomed me and tried to help me, the guys at the door were so polite and finally bought few perfumes for me and my family.

Am I wrong to expect the usual, "Hi! Welcome!" The guy at the door just stands there looking miserable. The line is ridiculous. I'll drive to the Americana where the people are happy.

Iāll add to the pile here about the terrible customer service. I love spending $ at Sephora but no one was willing to help me. I asked 4 different people about products and they just pointed. Thank God I have a great Sephora near my house because if they were all like this one, you guys would go out of business.

I'm not sure if this was an isolated incident, but it left a lasting impression. I visited this location, and the customer service was an atrocity. I walked into the store and noticed the Sephora reps in groups talking among each other. I understand this happening during slow business hours, but the store was packed with customers. I asked for help, and the reps appeared to be bothered that I even approached them. I asked for assistance with color matching from an old foundation container, a gift for my cousin. I understand again that my request was not an easy one, but there was minimal to no effort to help. Even if I were told with a pleasant demeanor that I couldn't be helped, I would have felt better about the experience. The first person said they couldn't do it and passed me off to the second rep, who told me to go to the competitor for help. Both reps were equally unpleasant. I ultimately went to the competitor, and I was helped. I had such a great experience at ULTA that I am making it my go-to going forward. I wanted to love Sephora, but I just can't look at your stores the same.

This place has terrible customer service. Iāve been here a lot and every time itās the same experience. They watch you and follow you like your stealing. Honestly itās giving racist because why are you all following me in the store. Iām in my nursing uniform just got off of work trying to buy face wash and lip gloss. What ever Iāll be going to studio city from now on the customer service is way better.

Avoid this store unless you're white, if you're any other race be ready to be treated like a doormat! Sephora needs to regulate these employees because in 2024, how is it permissible to be racist and discriminate so blatantly?
Id suggest going to the ulta in this same shopping center instead!
