Do not do any big purchases from Lowe's. They totally screwed me over. I paid so much for a dishwasher and they told us to have the old one taken out by the time the new one was delivered. We both took off work early to be home for delivery. We took out the old one and literally an hour before delivery they cancelled and said it couldn't be here for another 5 days.... NO REIMBURSEMENT, NOTHING... like we literally have a dishwasher taken apart sitting in our living room now bc they told us to do that.... Now we have to have it sitting here for 5 days? They just said sorry, didn't offer anything at all. And basically said there was nothing they could do..... I'm going to Home Depot like I should have done in the first place.

Lou in the lighting department was a total jerk. Giving us lots of unsolicited critics an our lighting choices. Raffi at the self checkout wasn't any nicer. He questioned whether or not I had scanned all my items multiple times. I counted them in front of him, and he still questioned me on it.

Horrible experience with Lowe's. We purchased a lot of items for thousands of dollars from that store but when it came time for service of my dishwasher they refused to either refund or replace it! This company should close down because they are violating all consumer rights! Dont buy anything from this store!

Customer service at lowes IS A TOTAL JOKE! Not at all like it used to be! And it's probably this way at all the lowes stores! The problem? Really bad return policy! I had bought 4 pieces of crown molding over 18 months ago. Decided not to install it, so I attempted to return it. NOTHING wrong with the items, were in sellable condition, looked brand new. I'd even be willing to take store credit. I even had the sales receipt for three of the items but not the fourth. But I had the card I used to pay for the fourth one as many places will look it up by using the card you used to pay for it. Go into the store, explained that I had a return of four items I purchased over 18 months ago. The lowes rep said it might not take it back but would try anyway. NOT gonna happen, the system wouldn't take it! No returns after 90 days! (Afterwards, we called another lowes, and they said no returns after 90 days as well!) So, I told the lowes rep that in a similar situation Home Depot would take it back. Her response was, "that's what happens when you wait more than 90 days to return it!" I made it clear that lowes has lost a customer. But I doubt that lowes cares if they lose customers. lowes is going in the wrong direction, which is fine with me! Home Depot, on the other hand, is going in the right direction. At least, from my perspective and experience, that's how I see it. Shop at Home Depot, they have a better attitude and appreciation for their customers!

Horrible service. No help. Wanted to order two toilets for pickup. Was sent to costumer service and back to the plumbing department. Pushed the button five times and waited. Absolutely no one in sight. Home Depot is the ticket.

NEVER SHOP AT LOWES. This was the single worst and most frustrating customer experience I have ever had and the other reviews confirm it. If you are reading this, it is probably too late because you are only reading it after you got screwed and are wondering if you are alone. You are not. Ordered a dishwasher over a month ago. It was supposed to be installed within the week. We never heard from the store. After 3 calls, someone finally realized that the store had been sold our dishwasher to another customer and they never bothered to let us know or to replace it. They ordered another dishwasher which was supposed to be picked up by the installer yesterday. We moved meetings around to be home when the dishwasher arrived. Installer arrived at Lowes and was told the dishwasher was gone. Installer went home. I called to cancel the order. Lowes told me they had a dishwasher there for me. We made arrangements to have it picked up today and installed this evening. We received a call that, for the third time, a sales person had sold our dishwasher (which was tagged and set aside for us) to a walk in customer and that we would need to order another dishwasher. I have spent 4 hours in the past two days on the phone with customer service, who were very kind and empathetic, but in the end had zero power to do anything. The last straw was when the customer service rep from the installations department stayed on with me as we 3 way called the store (WHO NEVER EVER PICK UP - See any other review). We spoke with a representative in the appliances department who told us his manager was on lunch but got us to speak to another manager. The manager put us on hold and then walked away from the phone for 25 minutes only to get disconnected. I cannot express how angry I am and how frustrating it is to have absolutely nothing I can do. Whatever you do, avoid this business.

People are helpful and usually know where to find thingsBut be sure to take a photo of the price on the shelf because their cash register isn't always up to date on prices

Caution. I ordered carpet from Lowes Burbank. It has been over one month and I can't get anyone on the phone to tell me when I will get it installed. Neither flooring or the manager will answer the phone. At first they promised installation within 2 weeks. Then they never called or emailed to advise me that the shipment was delayed. Now a week after they promised it would arrive, I can't get anyone to tell me what happened to my order.

I understand now why most of the Lowe's closed down. I use to support this company but not anymore. The employees are less then helpful and the lack of customer service is astonishing. It seems that the days of customer service are long gone and Lowe's is no exception. On top of it all I had bought a measuring tape and I mistakenly got mm and I needed cm and I was not able to get store credit nor exchange. Why it's still in its original package and in new condition and I was still within the return window.

I bought a GE gas stove Model JGBS66DEK 10 days ago. The stove does not work anymore. Lowes doesn't take any responsability and refer me to GE for the warranty. Really!!! Can I return a defective stove?

Hi Lowe’s so I’m hoping to get some clarification when the hours for both day and night schedules would go back up? 3 friends of mine works there and doesn’t get enough hours, the day I went to Lowe’s I tried to look for people to help me out with the items I need but apparently there hardly any people working in that store and too busy working other things or on lunches or not there?! I saw a co worker pass by and asked to be helped and they IGNORED ME, another one came up to me but couldn’t help since that’s not their department… when I asked to get someone that works in the department I was at they said they are on lunch… I even asked the staff why there isn’t another person taking cover until the guy comes back from lunch but apparently it’s due to hours being cut, are you serious?! My friends wasn’t joking when they said it was really cut.. You guys really need to get the hours back up, so we can be helped more, I understand why now there’s hardly people there and sadly I wasn’t able to see my friends that day I went since they were home doing things or at another jobs, my friends knows a lot about the store and would’ve helped me out and helped others. They need to have more people there, there is no excuses.

Hung out here for an hour waiting for help in lumber. A few of us asked like three or four employees...finally an off duty manager saw us and called someone. Go somewhere else if you need help from anyone.

UPDATE: Phone number in the response is nothing but lip service. Don't shop here. It's nothing but horrible now. ... Lowes Burbank won't return items in brand new condition for store credit if you can't find your receipt or it's a little outside a 90 day window, even for good reasons, even for just $25. I haven't bought much recently, but I've definitely spent thousands of dollars in the past and returned nothing in years. One would think Lowes could make a small exception for a $25 purchase for customers like me who occasionally go deep and just want to buy more things with store credit. (Get this: The manager said it's the high dollar amount -- $25 -- that blocks returns!) A few months ago I had a project taking a little longer to finish due to family illness, and I very much want those small, brand new items I couldn't use to be viable so they don't needlessly pollute the planet. Their policy is surprisingly DIY-unfriendly and frankly tone deaf to people who work on their own home. Managers are basically unfriendly and refuse to consider any circumstances. Also, FYI, I read online that they run a credit check of sorts when you make a return (which is why they demand your drivers license) and only make exceptions for high rollers -- outrageous. I checked with Home Depot, who are very much more helpful, transparent and understanding, and they have no such anti-consumer policies. Conclusion: Lowe's isn't a trusted store to rely on anymore! Home Depot is definitely better now. Consumer loyalty deserves a basic modicum of respect.

We used to buy all our big appliances here, (thought is was better than Home Depot) ---Never again. Bought a GE dishwasher, had it delivered, installed it and found the last piece (toe kick) can not be attached while following instructions. So either Manual is wrong or item is defective. Called Lowes just to see if we could talk to one of their third party installers to see if they have experienced this problem. They said it's not their problem and to contact GE. After being on the phone with GE for 4 hours and then them sending out a useless repair person the following day, and having no results, I called Lowes again for help. After them refusing to offer any assistance again I said I might as well return the dishwasher and get a non defective appliance (since each person I spoke with kept insisting it was not their problem without even listening) they then said it's too late. Apparently I only had 48 hours to return (btw this policy isn't even in the fine print, you need to click on a link that's in fine print then read pages of info to find out you had only 48 hours). Basically, poor customer service, and unethical business practices.
