I had to replace the foam on a couch cushion in order to revive my couch. Cervantes was an excellent choice. The price was very fair and he was very fast. It was also nice to be able to go to the store and chat with him in person. It was clear from the start that the knowledge and craft was top notch. He felt the original cushion once and instantly picked the correct density of foam. I would absolutely recommend Cervantes.

We recently had a large bench reupholstered and it turned out so beautifully I almost cried. The fabric was perfect. The tacks he used were perfect and highlighted the bench beautifully. I would highly recommend Cervantes Custom Designs. Don't be off put by the disarray in the shop. Creative minds are far to busy for tedious tasks

Alfred made slip covers for my sofa and chairs after my cats had destroyed the upholstery. I could not be happier with the results! Alfred worked with me every step of the way so that I was able to have them exactly how I wanted them.

My new dog ate my chair and the team here was able to fix and totally re-upholster the chair and now it's better than ever. Fast and reliable -couldn't recommend more. Will be taking all my upholstery needs in the valley there from now on!

Alfredo and this place are the real deal. My Mom has an antique armchair that was about ready for the dump. Instead, I took it to Cervantes and they did a superb job reupholstering it. They were careful to match the period details (nails etc) and made it better than new. My Mom is delighted. I appreciated the honest communications, fair price, and quick service. The shop has a great vibe, too.

I work in film production, and I had to have a leather booth repaired in a diner where a show I worked on had filmed at, and caused the damage. The major issue which we faced was that this particular color had been discontinued by the manufacturer. Alfredo was able to find an original swath after doing some digging. The diner was pleased with the result.

Alfred is a Rockstar in the upholstery business! Beautiful job reupholstering our 2 wing-back recliner chairs. He used far less fabric than others told us we needed. He repaired the mechanism in the recliners, cushions are better than brand new, and what a really nice man! AND his price was below others we checked in with.

I brought my old beat-up sewing machine chair to Alfred--after calling a few other upholsterers--and looking at his Yelp reviews. Wish I had taken a before picture--it was threadbare, with the wood showing through at the back. I picked it up this morning, and I'm so pleased that I had to write a review. He did such a beautiful job and added piping--and took just a few days to do it. I keep going to my sewing room to look at it. I cannot recommend Cervantes any higher than five stars--but I would! My couch had a broken leg and called to see if they could fix it. They did better they fixed the one broken leg and made sure the others were stable. Hindered the price for the one leg. I would recommend them as they are honest and do good work. I will do business with them anytime I need any furniture repaired.

I have avoided going to upholstery repair places fearing them to be more costly than buying a new poorly made item. Don't make my mistake. Go visit this guy. He charged me so little for such quality work.

I wanted to reupholster my two matching chairs, they were well built but looking old. So I looked on Yelp to find a place. I am so glad I did! Cervantes was hands down the best one in Burbank so that is where I went. I went to his shop where he and his assistant were working away. Just like most upholstery shops it is a cluttered, so don't expect anything fancy. He had so many fabrics to choose from, I could have been there forever. Luckily I was able to narrow my choices down to two, he was working away while I was picking fabrics so I felt no pressure to pick. Once I narrowed it down he told me the prices after showing him pictures of the chairs. I told him I would think about it and would call him. He was is very calm and said that if I wanted to have him pick up the chairs and drop them off that is included in the price. After thinking about it I decided on a fabric and arranged pick up. He did not require a deposit and asked I pay him on delivery. He took 2 1/2 weeks to reupholster the chairs and I think they are beautiful. I am sitting in a chair right now as I write this review. They did such a great job! I would recommend them for reupholstery anytime!

I was referred to this tiny little whole-in-the-wall place in my hometown of Burbank for reupholstery. It was my dad who gave me the recommendation, and he's been DIYing houses since I was 5 years old...so I trust his judgement on this kind of stuff. The owner's name is Alfred and he SERIOUSLY knows what he's doing. I brought him some 80+ year old dining room chairs that needed a completely new look (I was sanding and re-staning) because the old pattern was, quite obviously, from the 50s...at least! He took our chosen material, padded it with super stiff padding (as requested, and did an absolutely MASTERFUL job (as you can see in the finished photo)! It was right at $200 for all 4 chairs, which put his prices just slightly less than average...but my god, I'm so happy we went with Alfred. I'll be coming back for years to come!

I recently needed 4 chairs reupholstered because I didn't like the fabric that they came with them, so I purchased new fabric separately. I had never gotten anything reupholstered before, so I went to several different stores per my Yelp search, mostly all along Magnolia for quotes and tIme estimates. Cervantes was the cheapest, fastest, and easiest to work with. Gamino Decor down the street was rude and overpriced, and the owner of Elegant Designs was extremely busy and quoted me several weeks for the project completion. I even called Burbank Furniture Restoration and they referred me back to Cervantes, saying they were the best in the area. About a week later, my chairs were ready and I was extremely happy with the results. They even spray painted the legs for me in another color to really make it my own at no additional charge. Just keep in mInd, there is no "showroom", it's just a work space with fabric all over the place, but the quality speaks for itself. The owner is really caring and kind too. Tip: Cash or Check only.
