This store is wonderful and the owner, Alfred is very knowledgeable in all things military and print. I recently relocated my 93 year old father to LA to live with me. My father is a long time military and aviation book collector, rc aircraft enthusiast and fine oil paint aviation artist. Alfred offered a wealth of information on all those subjects and more as we make contacts in Los Angeles to liquidate my father's collections. Thanks Alfred, see you soon!

One is those hidden gems that is a treasure trove of mostly used books for the military historian or hobbyist. It is a bit cramped, but the owner is slowly organizing his inventory. If you like military history in print, you must visit this shop.

Having lived here for so long I had no idea we had a local military book shop. On google it will say temporarily closed but this is not the case, you just call and speak with the owner who is most accommodating. I work in film and tv snd when beginning a new project I like to read up and prepare for the subject at hand. This gentleman has both new and old out of print works in his shop. You'll have to climb through the isles as they're stacked with books but he's got some good titles there and is a pleasure to do business with.

Excellent local shop with an owner devoted to history. As a lifelong collector, this store offered a range of history and military books across most major campaigns and specializing in World War II.

Harvey and Louis are extraordinary booksellers. BURBANK MILITARY BOOKS is a gem, a throwback to another time, an exquisite bookshop tucked behind an alley in Burbank. It's like entering an English garden of first edition books and manuscripts. A treasure trove of the literary variety and a must visit for all A ngelenos and tourists who read.

History and military buff alert! Called this store last week to see if they purchase new/used books. The proprieter, Alfred, said if I brought them in he'd take a look. Hubby and I are both Army Intelligence vets and had a variety of books (fiction and non) we were cleaning out. I hadn't been in the store before, but for some reason assumed everything inside would be related only to American military history, so wasn't sure what of ours (mostly Middle East focus) he'd be interested in. Boy was I wrong! Alfred carries a wide variety of military (all branches and of many nations) and world history books, both fiction and non, covering more than 100 years of history. Biographies, autobiographies, political, 50s era adventure series.....so many interesting selections! Alfred was super nice and gave me a very fair price for what I brought. I had considered going to The Iliad, but am already aware their customer base wouldn't be too interested in this genre. So glad I stopped in! Definitely recommend if you're into history!
