We really wanted to like Brian. He did a good job for us previously. But if you check Yelp, you will see from others with similar reviews this year, he dropped the ball and left us hanging at tax time. He told us several times he would send his portal link and never did. We were considerate of his time and took him at his word that he would send the link but by the beginning of April it was clear that we needed to cut him loose. Terrible thing to do to your clients. If it weren't for the fact that there was an extension for filing for California residents, we would have had to file for an extension while we found another accountant. We wanted to support a local business but Brian's service failed us.

If i could give a zero star rating I would. Brian will promise you the stars - and give you nothing. He goes back on his word over and over. He states he will get your paperwork / accounting / taxes done in a certain time period, and he fails over and over. Never getting anything completed. I have supported this business for well over 15 years. Supported him while he was trying to grow his firm. This is what i get in return. If he is no longer interested, or has the time, for his customers he should at the very least let us know. Instead i got open ended promises with no results. If he had at least been honest, i wouldn't be leaving this review.

Look elsewhere. Not only did Brian Say that he would handle my taxes and send me a portal multiple times within a several month timeline; he ultimately failed to do so. He's completely left me hanging at a time when I really need help. It's one thing not to respond; another to say you simply don't have time but a horrible business practice to tell a potential client that you will do their taxes and flail without any words. If I had known he couldn't help me, I simply would have looked elsewhere and never have left a negative review. This is on him. Beware

No response after several months, and never filed my 2021 Taxes. I had to cut him loose.I hope he is OK. If he is NOT, someone should let his clients know.

As a bookkeeper, I absolutely love working with Brian. He is very very smart about tax code and tax law, and helps his clients prepare for tax season. He doesn't wait till the last minute to do the tax returns!

Can't get hold of this business. Tried for weeks via email, phone, and even twitter. No response. They post on twitter but won't respond to you there. Many other great CPAs in the area, try any of them.

I came to Brian after my prior CPA had mis-handled my last set of returns AND had failed to accurately rectify (while still wanting to charge me.) The errors my prior CPA had made cost me over $2000 - and I was still having to track down accurate intel when Brian essentially spotted the actual problem and took over and swiftly “cleaned up” the mess to ensure I would recover most of my rightful refund.
Brian is clearly caring, has a deep deep understanding of Tax laws as well as is current and up-to-speed on the ever-changing fine-print of Tax laws.
When we met he was compassionate, quick to take action, and clearly cared more about setting things right than a fee - he went above and beyond to clear up all the mess that was created, all the while staying communicative and clear about everything.
If you think you can do better than your current CPA (a common problem in LA - too many take on too much and “delegate” to assistants and don’t carefully handle their clients needs - or are inaccessible because of how “busy” they are) - this is the man to call. He came highly recommended and has lived up to his reputation 100%.
I just cannot believe my good fortune to have finally found a sharp, caring, and experienced CPA I am happy to know and work with.

My wife and I have had a few bad experiences with the CPAs we dealt with the past few years so we were in the market for a new CPA this tax season.
