They are super unethical.I had ordered and paid for paint for a project in my backyard.The project, as you can expect, took a lot longer for contractors to complete.So I come in 6 months later with my receipt and samples and all records - the guy tells me since they changed computer systems they can't look it up and since he didn't work there at the time he couldn't do anything.I showed him the charge on my credit card statement and let him know that the computer software of lack of records on their part wasn't my problem. I had my records, including the original receipt and I wanted my paint.He refused to leave a message for the owner. LOLWhat a joke.I contacted Benjamin Moore corporate and they gave me a gift card to go somewhere else.That's what you get with licensees - always better to use corporate stores, they aren't so hard up for money.Response: If your store hasn't changed its software then that means the guy at the front LIED to me to avoid giving me the product I paid for.How is that any better?And why are you asking me for a receipt when my review clearly stated that I called the company directly to resolve my issue? No one would hold onto a paint receipt after this.What a ridiculous response - exactly what I would expect.

This is one of the best paint shops in LA. Everyone is knowledgeable. I like that my paint is on record so if I need to buy more, I know what color and type I have Prichard in the past.

***DO NOT USE THIS PAINT FOR CABINETS*** They sold me on the cabinet specific paint. I paid a painter with over 30 years experience to prime, sand, prime and brush paint my brand new kitchen and within a year the paint is peeling and flaking off. A Benjamin Moore Rep and his manager met my painter at my house and they all said it was clearly product failure. After not hearing back for over a week I reached out and was told they'd give me some more paint. Why would I ever use a product that fails? I paid $5000 just for labor to have my cabinets painted in my small kitchen the best way with what I thought was the best paint. Do not use this paint for cabinets. Terrible paint and terrible company.

These guys screwed me on price after messing me around with quantities.I called to ask if they had a certain Messmer's product in stock and I needed 5 gallons. They said yes, so I drove over there.When I get there, it turns out they've looked at the wrong product and only have one in stock.Ok, mistakes happen, fine I'll buy the one gallon they have and go somewhere else for the rest, at least I can start the job.I ask for contractor/trade pricing but they say they can't doing it without the contractor license being in my name (even though I can prove I work in the trade). This is the first time I've had this happen in 20+ years of working trades, but they guy says he'll give me a discount anyway.Tells me the product is "normally $89 retail", they sell it to the public for $79 but will do it for $70. Seems high but I'm in a hurry and they're closing so I just do it.Get home start the job the next day and need to go find my other 4 gallons........and find out it sells for around $42!!!The manager here completely lied to me and it's one thing to make a mistake and waste my time by accident with quantities, but it's another thing to then rip me off too.Never going back to Catalina Paint and I'm going to send this to Messmers as it's bad for their reputation too.
