“Where do I begin? I bought an iMac desktop back in 2020, and last year, I noticed it was beginning to run extremely slow, to the point where nothing was opening anymore. Finally, my iMac officially crashed, and I knew I had two options: either fix it or get a new one.I had received a few quotes, but due to the delicacy of my screen, many technicians were reluctant to touch it or were charging an insane fee just to open it. When I spoke to other technicians, it seemed like they were attempting quick fixes on my computer. However, my experience with Zap Computers was night and day.Upon arriving, the technician Julio was very friendly and knowledgeable. We discussed the realm of possibilities regarding what could be wrong with my computer, but he emphasized that we wouldn't know for sure until they opened and examined it. We talked about the delicacy of the screen, and not once did he mention charging me extra, unlike the others.I left my computer overnight, and the next day, he called to inform me exactly what was happening. He presented several options, some cost-effective and others that would enhance my computer's performance beyond its original state. I opted to install a new hard drive, and I cannot begin to tell you how fast my computer is now. It's running faster and better than when I bought it. “These guys still carry and sell a device that is a MUST HAVE if you own the original Buffalo TeraStation! For those that have no idea what I'm talking about other than the brand, the originals were 1TB RAID (4 x 250 IDE/PATA drives and the RAID works only with Buffalo's proprietary system) When unit dies (and it will) you will lose it all! Enter "Dat Optic's Qbox-U" with the Standard IDE/PATA controller, one of the last of it's kind still on the market. Re-set drive jumpers to Cable Select and put them in the Qbox in the EXACT order they were in the TeraStation. Set the Qbox to combine the drives then hit it with recovery software. POOF! If it was a Buffalo system board issue as is usually the case, there you are looking at the data and Buffalo OS. Back the data up and blow the drives away then reformat and start over I have now saved 5 TeraStations and may just buy more of the Qboxes. The box cost is little..the Recovery software hurts more but for under $200 TOTAL, you can do this all day long!”
“I needed a new 4 Pin Molex to SATA Power Cable since mine (black ESATA plastic cover) broke. I didn't want to go far away and order online so I tried the local stores. None of them (e.g., PCS HQ a few doors down in the same building) would give me one except The Laptop Experts. A guy came out right away after entering the lobby. I showed him my old broken one. He went into the backroom and had a spare one to sell. I looked and agreed to buy it. Quick and easy to get a simple part from a store. Thank you! I will return if I need another one badly. I hope they also sell other parts too because it's hard to find any near by stores that sell basic PC parts these days. :(”
“I had possibly the best experience I’ve ever had at a big box store yesterday at the Westminster Best Buy location (that also took me to the Anaheim location where the team was just as helpful). I have.a Geek Squad protection plan on my car stereo. I had no idea what the process was and if it involved being without a stereo in my car for an extended period of time. I had an appt with Tory in the car audio department. I explained the situation and he said he was uncertain of exactly how the claim would work. We went in to the store and a manager explained they could replace the unit but they did not have one in the store. We located one in Anaheim and I went and purchased it there and returned it to Westminster where Tory completed the swap out. In total, I interacted with at least 7 employees at 2 different stores and all of them were both friendly and helpful. Best Buy, whatever you are doing with hiring and training, it’s working! Keep it up. We’ll be back for future purchases.”

“I got my printer fix here recently at this small local mom and pop shop. Found out what was the problem with my printer and got a decent price on the cost to fix it. I was told my printer would be ready by the end of the day. I got a pretty good deal for toner and ink cartridges as well. Service was great and efficient!The owner is was very nice and funny guy. “Had an issue with a CPU installation that resulted in my PC power cycling and not working. Took it here to have someone professional look at it (before I messed something else up ). Turned out my motherboard was fried (so props to me for not messing up my new CPU after my first time trying to install a CPU). Long story short, they installed a new motherboard, new CPU, and new cooling system for me.They said it would only take a day, but instead it took about 3ish. Rather than doing a rushed job and meeting the initial estimated finish date, they needed to swap out my cooling system for a better one because it would have ruined my new CPU (Ryzen 9 5095X) due to it overheating. So I HIGHLY appreciated them going the extra mile and noticing this for me. They also tested everything before giving it back to me for QA purposes. I'd rather wait the extra few days and potentially save hundreds of dollars. They could've not done anything and had me come back later to pay for more repairs. They gave me a lot of advice as well and SHOWED me what they were doing before they did it. There was a lot of trust involved in this repair, and it paid off (pun absolutely intended). Definitely will be coming back for future upgrades. Learned a lot about computers in this process.As for the computer itself, it's running like a beast. Very powerful and very quiet surprisingly (more so than before). I wanted to wait a day after I got my computer to test out the programs I use and it's working great. When I picked up my tower, they showed me what parts were in the rig, that the display was working, and that the parts they said they were going to install were there. Kept me updated and sent me photos to show me progress. Very transparent and communicative.”
