I don't know what it is about this place but everytime I walk in the vibe is so off, very unfriendly and cold. The staff doesn't greet you but follow you around with their dead eyes. They just treat you as an inconvenience if you ask if they have a certain product. I've had better luck with cosmetic world across from them and it's no wonder that their competition gets more business than they do. Kthanksbai snooty stuck up Aritaum. Going to take my money elsewhere

The moment you walk in, you can feel the low vibrations lol. Not joking! One star for actually having products in stock though. :-)

Employees were extremely rude and pretentious. The atmosphere of the store is uninviting. Very disappointed

I visited Aritaum today with the intention of buying a gift for my parents, and I must say, the overall service from the employees was quite pleasant. They were helpful and attentive, providing assistance as I explored the store. However, my positive experience took an unexpected turn when I witnessed an incident involving another customer. It appears that the customer accidentally broke a sample of cream during testing. While I understand accidents can happen, what followed was rather disappointing. There were clear signs throughout the store advising customers not to touch products and to seek assistance from employees for testing. It seemed the customer and their party overlooked these instructions and proceeded to handle the product independently. Unfortunately, the sample broke, and understandably, the store's policy required payment for the damaged item. What struck me as less than ideal was the handling of the situation by the ignorant customer. Despite the store's policy and the clearly posted guidelines, there was resistance to paying the full price for the damaged product. This resulted in a somewhat uncomfortable situation, with what I perceived as unnecessary arguing and reluctance to take responsibility for the accident. While the service provided by the employees during my visit was commendable, I can't help but express concern over the incident involving the customer. It's essential for all customers, myself included, to respect the store's policies and guidelines to ensure a positive shopping experience for everyone. Overall, my visit to Aritaum was a mixed experience, marked by helpful staff but overshadowed by an unfortunate incident that could have been avoided if the annoying customer had more careful attention to the store's guidelines.

PLEASE READ THIS & AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!! Their products are excessively priced. I discovered that you can find the same items on other official Korean websites for half the cost. What bothered me the most was an incident a few days ago.I went there to purchase a cushion, and an employee named Alison attempted to upsell me a Nuse makeup base. While doing so, she abruptly left to assist another customer, even though there was another employee available to help. I found it a bit impolite and peculiar but didn't dwell on it.I was deliberating between two different colors (white and pink) for the Nuse makeup base and ultimately decided on the standard white color. I informed another employee of my choice while Alison was still assisting the other customer. After being charged for the cushion and makeup base, I went home (I live 30miles away from there) and was excited to try out my new makeup. When I opened the makeup base package, I noticed it was pink (they gave me the wrong product), but I didn't mind, as I also wanted the pink base. So, I decided not to drive all the way back to Buena Park and use the pink base.To my surprise, when I dispensed the product, I realized it was a completely different product. That's when I called the store (I had to call five times before they answered, which was ridiculous). I informed Alison about the situation, and she told me they couldn't exchange or refund any make up products and if the box is opened, as it was stated on the receipt. If they had informed me that makeup products are final sale before charging me, I wouldn't have purchased it in the first place. They were quite deceptive about this. When I suggested that, since it was their mistake from the beginning, they should at least exchange the product as a courtesy, her manager, whom Alison spoke to on the phone, had the audacity to say, "You should have came back right away when you realized the product was incorrect." To clarify, I didn't mind using the pink base, but you gave me a completely different product. So, the mistake was due to your incompetence not me.Alison told me to come by on Thursday so her so-called "manager" could resolve the issue. However, I made it clear that it didn't sound like the manager would provide a realistic solution, so I didn't want to waste my time driving all the way to Buena Park for something that wouldn't happen. That's when Alison said, "oh no, I think my manager will be able to exchange the product for you."So, I thought, "Oh, okay, maybe their customer service isn't that bad."Fast forward to Thursday, I drove 30miles to Buena Park to visit the store. When I met the "manager" and explained the situation, her way of handling it was to scold me and shame me for not checking the receipt that clearly stated "no exchanges for makeup products." ( honestly, who checks every freaken receipt) and again this wouldn’t have happened if you gave me the correct product in the first place. I told her that they should inform customers about this policy before ringing up the product, and I wouldn't have come if Alison hadn't told me they would compensate somehow. They totally wasted my time!Honestly, even other local Korean makeup stores would have offered store credit. I wasn't seeking a refund; I wanted an exchange for their mistake. I told her that in our current state, where Sephora, Nordstrom, and even small local Korean cosmetic businesses offer exchanges, refunds, or store credit, it's absurd that they would mistreat and mislead their customers like this. This place is condescending and shows no regard for their customers. At least Alison was kind, but the so-called manager was rude, kept interrupting me, and repeatedly claimed it was my fault. You're right; it was my fault for foolishly visiting a cosmetic store with only three stars and thought otherwise. SHAME. ON. ME??????."

I went here yesterday afternoon to just get a highlighter. When it came time for me to pay, the woman working tried to offer me products to "fix" my forehead texture and acne unprompted. I understand that she's trying to sell product, but the way that she went about it was just plain rude. I got the one product I wanted, and unwarranted sales tactics that I didn't appreciate. Not coming back here.

The girl that helped me was so rude. I asked her if she had a product in stock and she asked for the products then snatched them out of my hand only to put them back immediately. Not once did she smile. She had a rude look on her face the whole time.Note to store: I don’t know how you plan to make sales if your workers are rude to customers and obviously look like they don’t want to help

Store overcharged me. I came in looking for something to help with dark spots. The worker recommended to me a brand and let me try them. She told me if i bought the two bottles i would get a free gift included. It was a travel size set from the same brand so i figured it was a good offer and said yes.Two days later I see the items online for a cheaper price and was wondering why mine was more expensive. Bigger bottle maybe? NO. Turns out she charged me for the price of the two bottles AND the travel set. Store doesn't do returns or exchange either.

Worker was rude to me because I have visible tattoos. They're not offensive either, but she was incredibly rude and dismissive towards me. Also racist

Walked in just to browse with a friend. The staff quickly left their post behind the counter to pretend they're fixing/organizing the shelves while be browsed. Obviously they were observing if we were going to steal anything. Felt uncomfortable and left lol.
