Gloria and Troy are true heros in my book my kids and I were on our way back home from our vacation in San Fran when we had a mishap and ended up with 2 blown tires after hours of dealing with some tow service provider we gave up and called smittys not only did Gloria solve this single moms problem but she found an incredibly cheaper way that was definitely more affordable if it weren't for her and Troy we would probably still be sitting on the side of the road so thank you from the bottom of my heart smittys

Awful business practice, stealing people cars they know can't afford to get them out of there impound absolutely deplorably. They have no sympathy, they don't care all they want is your money. They will screw you over, and the sheriff assist them in there crime don't break down anywhere near Buellton didn't even give the 48hrs you have to get the vehicle off the road.

I found their service to be on time and the employee who towed my car knew what he was doing. The back wheels on my vehicle locked because the car was not able to start. He knew what to do to safely and without any damage to the car get it onto the flatbed and then once taken to my mechanic remove it. They also took my auto insurance which helped with the cost.Service: Car towing

Ok they did respond to the AAA call but it took them 45 minutes to drive 5 miles to reach us. Then they didn't want to change the tire, they wanted to tow us because they make more money that way. They kept saying how dangerous the temporary spares are. Really? I've never heard that. They didn't check the pressure on the spare either, maybe he wanted it to fail but it was fine.

I got locked out of my car. I was told that it would take 90 minutes. I was fine with that, but then after the 90 minuted arrived they were still not there. I called and they told me they'll be here in 15-20min. I called again after 15 min, and they again told me they'll be there in 15-20 min. Then after another 15 min I called again, and again they told me in 15-20 min. So I've been waiting for over 2 hrs praying and hoping that they will actually come. Hopefully they are a real towing company.

Had our car towed. Had to wait for the weekend to have things cleared up. We called asking how much it was and they charged over $600. Mind you it was a Friday evening and we were getting it Monday. They gave us the address which they wrote down, it was in the next city over, we showed up to the address and they gave us the wrong one. We showed up 10 mins later after finding it and they charged an extra $150!! We had proof they gave us the wrong address but they wouldn't budge and they were rude about it. Would never recommend. Full of crooks.

We were in Gaviota State Park getting ready to leave with a toddler in our van and we accidentally got locked out of our car. We called for a roadside assistance and told us that the closest service was about an hour away. We were really nervous but Smitty Towing arrived there within 15 minutes, 10 minutes before we got the follow up text message from the insurance company. He got here and opened the door immediately for us!! We are so thankful for him taking care of it so quickly with empathy. We strongly recommend this place!!

My daughters truck broke down at school. I asked her to call Smittys before 1pm realizing it would take a minimum of 30 minutes for them to arrive and she would be out if school at 2pm. They were still not there at 4pm. We eventually called another service that was there in 15 minutes. Not impressed!

A friend and I rented a zipcar this past weekend to visit friends in Lompoc. On Sunday morning turns out the battery was dead. Zipcar sent Walter from your team to get a jump. Walter was great! I noted we needed to stop and get gas and he was worried the jump may not hold long enough so volunteered to drive with us to a gas station and waited while we got gassed up and on our way. Above and beyond customer service! Thank you, Walter.

This towing company took advantage of us in a situation when we had to get a rental car towed. We had over $1,000 in wine we had collected over the weekend in the car, in a case, and they stole it from us. The case was totally gone by the time the rental car was returned to the rental agency, with one bottle opened and half drunk in the car along with trash. We are currently initiating pressing legal charges against this company/suing them - I would never, EVER recommend using this company.
