Monighetti's Farrier, Feed, & Pet
37 Industrial Way #107, BuelltonWe were in need of a groomer in Buellton and were so excited to discover this place! It was super easy to get an appt within a few days and we didn't have to leave our pup for hours, which was so nice. Their groomer did an incredible job. Our baby was so happy after she got home. I feel like the price is comparable to other groomers too. We'll definitely be back!

Pet Care

Alamo Pintado Equine Clinic
67 Commerce Dr, BuelltonMy TWH filly had a unique issue with her hock - a subchondral bone deformity. My vet recommended that we take her to Alamo to have Dr. Judy take a look to see what the exact prognosis would be. My filly unfortunately needed surgery in order to fix the problem. However, although the surgery was deemed to be very difficult and there was a large possibility that "fixing" the bone deformity may not be possible due to the location, but Dr. Judy was up for the challenge and confident that the reward outweighed the risks. My baby girl was taken care of and her surgery was a success! She is now 4 months post op and thriving. I appreciate Dr. Judy's honesty and laying out the facts without giving me any fluff. He's an excellent surgeon and I wouldn't trust anyone else to perform a surgical operation on any of my horses but him!

Buellton Veterinary Clinic
914 W Hwy 246, BuelltonMy dog, Gema, saw Dr. Gross for the first time yesterday. This is a top notch veterinary practice. Rosemary and the other folks at the front desk are "on it" quick, kind, and just really nice. Similarly, the team in the exam room --- sorry folks I didn't get names. They were so kind to my dog --- I was able to watch the care and help calm my dog. Also, the entire team were super patient, pros, and kind. Dr. Gross is what my mom calls "a sharp cookie" meaning smart and also a thinker. Just what you want in a vet --- well that and kind and great with animals. Just excellent.

Vega Vineyard and Farm
9496 Santa Rosa Rd, BuelltonIf you have out-of-town family or friends visiting, Vega Vineyard & Farm is our absolute go-to. From the delicious food (the Caesar salad is so good) to their wine selection, it’s just one of those places that feels special without trying too hard. Add in the barn animals, the adorable gift shop, and the fun tractor ride, and it’s a win for all ages.
My cousins’ kids especially loved the tractor ride this weekend up to the top to see the Highland cow, goats, and mule, and the view of Buellton from up there is beautiful. The staff is wonderful, welcoming, and makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot that truly captures the heart of the valley. Shoutout to Jessi Tupper who always makes our experience extra special when we are there!

The Tavern at Zaca Creek
1297 Jonata Park Rd, BuelltonMenu was great, though mine had a food stain on it when it arrived. Everything was cooked perfectly, I had the miso cod and it was delicious! Had the apple dessert, which was a mini apple pie with pink lady apples that had been soaked in red wine. I didn’t detect any flavor or color change from the red wine, and it arrived barely warm, I would have liked it to be hotter. Overall, very good!

Lavender Oak Vineyard
9450 Santa Rosa Rd, BuelltonOne of my favorite wineries. Big bold reds that are dry farmed, which is hard to find! Family owned and operated; Dean has always taken great care when we come in for tastings. Their wine club pickup parties are awesome too!

Loring Wine Company - Tasting Room
1034 Aviation Drive, LompocMy husband and I went to Loring Wine Company (LWC) on Valentine's Day, our 25th anniversary! We made an appointment to have a wine tasting and it was a full-service experience. Brian and Kimberly made us feel like royalty with six full tastings and a beautiful charcuterie tray. Everything paired well beautifully - the Chardonnay and Pinot Grigos were excellent. We bought six full bottles to take on our getaway to Cambria. The location in Lompoc is amazing with a huge warehouse, full kitchen, and comfortable tasting room. It is in an industrial park, but it is in a non-crowded area with lots of parking which is a huge plus. Yes, it is an hour out of the way from the 101, but it is a beautiful drive both ways and so worth the stop! Full disclosure - Brian and I attended junior and senior high together. But, honestly, he makes fabulous wine and has a state-of-the-art facility. Brian and Kimberly provide top-notch customer service and hospitality. I would recommend all of my friends stop for a fantastic wine-tasting experience. They have spoiled us for any other wine tasting!

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. Buellton
45 Industrial Way, BuelltonStopped by with my family for a quick snack and beers while waiting for our hotel room to be ready in Solvang. I've had their beer before, so I was happy to have it from the source. The beers, as expected, were great! We ordered the tri tip plate and margherita pizza. Those were just okay.\n\nOur kids were entertained by the arcade upstairs, which had video games, claw machines, and an air hockey table. There is also an indoor bar area downstairs plus a large outdoor space. Seems like a cool place to have out, and it's very family friendly.

Industrial Eats
181 Industrial Way, BuelltonWe spent 5 days in the Santa Ynez Valley. After eating here the first time, we ended up coming back 3 more times. The atmosphere is eclectic...long tables shared between parties. Met some interesting people. You place your order at the counter and the food is brought to you. The food was amazing. Gourmet quality at half the price of a typical restaurant. The beef shank shepherds pie was to die for. Also the filet was amazing. Altogether a great experience.

Hitching Post Wines
420 CA-246, BuelltonWe’ve been fans of Hitching Post for a while and just had the pleasure of back to back tastings. One at flying Flags and then again the next day at the tasting room. Spencer took great care of us both days. Knowledgeable, kind and personable. We had our 3 year old with us and everyone was so kind and didn’t bat an eye ? The wine is excellent, love the Fiddlesticks Pinot and for a 95+ degree weekend, all the whites and pinks were perfect. The Pet Nat was especially great on a hot day. When there was a mix up in the wines we bought, Spencer came to us to make the swap for the correct bottle. 10/10 service! We’ll be back!!

Ellen's Danish Pancake House
272 Ave of Flags, BuelltonCharming, friendly and helpful service. Large menu with delicious options for any appetite. The Danish pancakes came with several housemate jams and a green chile salsa. We tried 3 of the daily specials. The trip tip sandwich was on a crisp grilled roll. It was juicy, crunchy and flavorful. The side of Santa Maria beans were also excellent. The chicken pot pie was in a large crock, topped with a puff pastry. There was plenty of peas, carrots and chicken in a tasty sauce. The fried chicken was excellent. Super crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside. The cole slaw was fresh and crunchy. The fries were crispy and addictive, especially dipped in the green chile salsa. The star was the biscuits and gravy. A massive serving of tender biscuits, smothered in excellent gravy. This is a go-out-of-your-way to eat here kind of place. Exceptional in every way.
