I purchased a re-conditioned semi-automatic machine about 10 years ago and absolutely love it. A few years in the heating element went out. I shipped it back to them, where it was repaired and shipped back. It has worked gloriously ever since. Paired with the right grinder, coffee and skills you can consistently make great espresso.

A good machine but poor support. Mine was returned to me after a $500 service (15 years of use) to find that it did not work. Salvatore said that something happened during shipping and they were not responsible. I’ve had to repair the machine myself where I discovered it is a single boiler. Not the double boiler as it was advertised. Calls go unanswered. Beware.

Our family has two Salvatores. We have had them for many many years. They have been incredible! Wendy and Salvatore are incredible to work with.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. When I drive to SoCal from Northern Cal I always try to stop by the store to see the artist at work.

I’m surprised to see the 1 Star reviews because of support because my machine is now 10 years old and I’ve had a couple of issues (worn portafilter gaskets, pressure gauge) and they were super helpful and even gave me the replacements. They have troubleshot problems on the phone with me.These machines are hand built with heavy duty internal parts hence the 6 year warranty. He uses parts normally found on commercial machines so they are a great value.Super happy with mine and will buy another if this one dies.

I own a One Black that I bought 11 years ago. The machine vale started to leak about a year ago. I finally had time to take the machine to the store today to have it repaired. I understood that it will cost me $200 non-refundable charge to evaluate the repair. The first thing that bothered me was they wanted my credit card number not only the expiration date but also the security code on the back of my Cc. Secondly Salvadore just can't give me an estimated how much will cost me to repair the unit so I can make a decision whether to have it repaired or buy a new one. Salvadore finally did at the end and told me that it could cost $700 to $800 for clean/repair. Wendy, a very nice lady wanted to know what kind of "water" I use for the machine. I told her "filtered water" and she wanted to know what kind of filter I use. I thanked them both for their time even before Salvatore refuse to repair it for me ( asking too many questions get him upset". For that kind of cost to repair I'll get myself a new espresso machine.. there are many choices out there. Update, I finally got the machine repaired by XOXO espresso in Burlingame CA. Austin the owner repaired it in a week for $600. There are few design Design flaws that he pointed out: the water tank can't be removed for cleaning without damaging the connector. There is no way to see the water tank water level without removing the outer casing. You can only use a small espresso shut glass and anything else will not fit under.

We have had one of their machines for about 14 years. The machine when working is very nice. If you have a problem with the machine you will have to chase after them for service. They will not return your calls and show very little interest with your machine issues after the initial sale. In the past we have had to send them the machine on a few occasions for costly repairs. Recently, per their advice, we purchased a new pump from them and after a very short period it failed. Our follow up calls have been ignored. If you are looking for customer service after the sale this is not the place for you.
