If you are looking for a different vibe to your overnight stay in Bridgeport, this is the place. The owners, Jeff and Jo are wonderful and passionate about the hotels history. Jeff is very knowledgeable of the hotels history and always willing to share stories of the "alleged" haunted hotel. The hotel is small, so don't delay and book your rooms ahead of time. Will definitely stay here again!

Love staying at the Bodie Hotel. The rooms are so cute and the beds are super comfy. Bridgeport is such a cute town and the Bodie hotel gives you a great place to stay while walking to the local restaurants. Love that our room overlooked the courthouse. The owners are also awesome and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.Walkability: In the small town. Easy to walk to the local restaurants.

Amazing historic hotel and lovely new owners. Wish Google would remove the old reviews as they do not pertain and are giving the wrong impression. The old hotel was called the Bodie Victorian Hotel and the new owners have done so much work on this place. It is old but clean, charming and unique.Rooms: Each room has it's own color of beautiful velvet like damask wallpaper, the old carpet has been removed to show the refinished original wood floors, some rooms have sinks in the rooms - a very old fashioned feel. All have new mattresses and super comfy pillows. The bathrooms are small but the owners plan to update them.Nearby activities: Hot springs, hiking, fishing, biking, kayaking, boating all within 10-40 minutes. The Bodie Ghosttown (where this hotel was built) is a must see. Mono Lake is a quick drive south, Twin Lakes is a 10 minute drive down the road.Walkability: There is so much to do within walking distance, historic Mono County courthouse is right across the street, old jail is right behind that, the Museum is in the park around the corner. Fun walking tour maps available.Noteworthy details: This hotel is over 140 years old, it was moved here. It's not a Hilton (no TV's/cable) but it is unique. It's more like a home than a hotel

If you’re passing through the Eastern Sierras, the Bodie Hotel in Bridgeport offers a lodging experience like no other. For outdoor types, the hotel is a perfect springboard for fishing, hiking, and hot spring excursions. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and charming — many have three beds, making them ideal for families. History buffs will be charmed by the hotel's authentic and fascinating history, which comes alive through dozens of unique artworks and decorative objects that have been lovingly restored and displayed by its new owners, Jeff and Jo. They are a font of local knowledge — be sure to ask them about The Bodie’s haunted history and the secret hot springs on the outskirts of town!

Amazing hotel! With the new owners, this place has become absolutely lovely. My wife and I spent one night in The Bodie Hotel on our trip from Las Vegas to Reno. It's absolutely beautiful. Clean rooms, authentic interior and next to the welcoming atmosphere the probably most authentic hotel experience we ever had. If you're planning to visit Bodie State Historic Park, you definitely want to make your experience perfect by staying for a night in this hotel. Thank you so much Jolissa and Jeff for bringing this place back to life.

Great place! Small and quaint. All rooms are unique in its own character. Our room needed a TV and the shower water faucet needed to be replaced so we showered with no hot water! Very nice Owners/Operators, super sweet! Our bathroom was the size of a 1 car garage too!

My husband and I really liked this historical building. The new owners have done an amazing job with renovation but still remain lots of old but cool character. I fell in love with the vintage decorations. Wishing that I would have a chance to visit there again somewhen. Thanks to Jeff for a lovely welcome and his great service mind.

Nice historical hotel originally from Bodie ghost town, owner is friendly and accommodating. The beds and pillows were comfortable. I came for the ghosts and wasn't disappointed, although you will need paranormal equipment to interact with them otherwise you may not experience anything as they took some time to talk to me. The area has some really good food, there is a courthouse and jail you can check out across the street, the cemetery and jail are accessible at night and there are some cool hidden hot springs you can soak in (ask the owner Jeff). Bodie ghost town isn't far away.

Highly recommend staying in this historical hotel and town! We stayed here many years ago and loved it - the owner was a delightful lady. The new owners are carrying on her legacy and are adding their own TLC touches to make it even better. It's not the Ritz...the floors creak and aren't quite level...but I definitely give it a 5 star rating for historical fun, great hospitality, comfy beds and hot coffee in the cool mornings.

We had the best time staying here. We loved the atmosphere and can tell the new owners Jeff and Jolissa have put so much effort into making it nice but also maintaining the original Victorian feel. We enjoyed exploring the towns gift shops and eating at the different restaurants. Great fishing spots close by. The Bodie Ghost Town is only about 30 mins away and didn't disappoint. It was much bigger than I thought it would be and the kids had a great time exploring it. I love that my kids got to see a piece of history starting with our hotel stay.
