The Bodie Hotel is a quaint, cosy, and unique hotel with lots of character and beautiful, distinct decor in a wild-west or gold-rush era style. It is full of antiques and little details, providing a warm, peaceful, and charming atmosphere with a sense of history. The owners are incredibly kind, excellent communicators, and passionate hosts who are friendly, chatty, and accommodating. They share fascinating local history and information about the nearby ghost town of Bodie, which is a must-visit, and offer recommendations for nearby activities like catching the fall colors, visiting lakes, and hot springs. The hotel is super convenient for a trip to Bodie and is located in the nice town of Bridgeport, with plenty of places nearby for food and drink. It is just a short stroll from a bakery for pastries and coffee, and a filling restaurant. The hotel itself offers plenty of things to do, featuring a welcoming den with books and a help-yourself espresso machine. Rooms are comfortable with delightful beds and fluffy pillows, and include nice details like high-quality toiletries. While the hotel has an alleged haunted history, stays are typically quiet and restful. The only noted downside is that local town establishments close early in the evening. Guests consistently describe an excellent stay, often regretting not booking longer, and would 100% stay again.
Super convenient for a trip to Bodie! Owners are excellent communicators and hosts. Lots of character; plenty of things to do just within the hotel. 100% would stay again.

Stayed here recently and loved it. So cute. Kind of like the Madonna in meets victorian western vibes. Also, 5 mins from hot springs. The only downside is everything closes at like 8 or 9 in the town
