I took my 1969 AMX to Vintage Transmission & Gear for new brakes (disc front & drum rear) and they did an outstanding job. They explained everything that needed to be done and did the work expertly. They paid great attention to detail, fine adjustments & made sure everything was done to my satisfaction, these guys went above & beyond. Brakes are smooth, quiet & stop the car nicely. I couldn't be happier & I recommend VT&G to all.

These guys are the best. took my 2007 Yukon in for a transmission repair and they diagnosed the issue and did the repair in a very timely manner and for a fair price. Cars back on the road and running great. I have used Vintage for everything from maintaining my classic cars all the way up through my newer vehicles. Its hard to find honest comanies like this anymore.

If three king's is a good, yet realistic deal, see if they will work on your car. V.T.G. is a good bet.

Guy claims he can work on vintage car transmission, but if you have classic car and call him, he'll come up with a reason why he doesn't want to do the work. He basically just does simple oil changes...joke

My 16 year old wanted to swap out an auto transmission to a manual. Larry was great. He built my son a solid transmission and answered our 1000 questions on how to do the swap. They know their stuff. Highly recommended

I have never recieved any service from this place, but I did speak to a gentleman on the phone. This review is based on that conversation, I asked him for quote for tune up on my classic car. He laughed and said people only call him when something is wrong, he pretty much let me know he didn't need my business. He did give me a quote for 350 after laughter which is good for a classic car, which is reason for 3 stars.

I was referred Larry (Vintage Transmission) from another transmission shop. I removed my 1956 Buick Dynaflow that needed rebuilding because it leak trans fluid and needed a re-seal. Larry disassembled the trans and only found only two sprag gears that were bad, along with a master rebuild kit, and did not try to up-sell anything unnecessary. Thanks Larry for being honest.
