Ventura Foods - their solution - don't answer phones, no extensions given and no call-backs. Crap service and disappointing.

One of the plant HR managers actually told another manager they were sorry for lying to them in the interview but they needed them to help fix things and if they told them the truth they would not have taken the job. Another senior manager was told to resign or they would fire them and destroy there career. Why? Because they followed GAAP and it was not what they wanted to report. This is a horrible company. When I was hired one of the VP's took me to lunch only to tell me they wanted me reporting back on what the plant manager was really doing and on things in the plant overall. I quit.

Founded in 1996, Ventura Foods is the parent company of well-known brand Hidden Valley. Other brands and products include Classic Gourmet Dressings & Bases, Dean's French Onion Dip, margarines & spreads, LouAna popping & topping products, mayonnaise, sauces, shortenings & oils. MY STORY: I had made my lunch salad the night prior but forgot to bring my dressing along. Thankfully there's a Safeway nearby so I scurried in to grab a chilled salad dressing. Marie's Creamy Caesar Dressing was what I found. Had I known prior to researching them that they're related to Hidden Valley dressings, I would never have bought it as I don't like HV's ranch dressing due to its odd taste. The Caesar dressing was creamy but had a funky aftertaste, a mix of tart and sweet that left a bad taste in my mouth, totally ruining my salad. Lesson learned and bottle tossed! OVERALL: The best salad dressings belong to Wishbone and Ken's brands.

HR and plant mgmt is a joke. If you are in a profession this is a place to be avoided at all costs. 1/5 because they do not allow 0/5. I know of their upper HR staff, VP's, making threats against people and to destroy, rather try, to destroy peoples careers. Complete joke.

This business employs hateful, bigoted, regressive, immoral, conscienceless conservatives. Pamela May, whose husband, Michael May, likes to blame liberal murder victims for their own deaths because they were liberal, and believes we should let the poor, elderly, and disabled die in the streets.

This is a business that really seems to put the customer first. As a food manufacturer they have a lot of capability to develop and produce large quantities of quality products. I recommend them.
