This was my first and last time visiting Talbots at Brea. I made the decision to make a stop here since it made sense for me to go to the nearest Talbots that's near my school, CSUF. I walked in with my boyfriend intending to buy myself a pair of their modern ankle jean to replace the ones I had purchased at the Talbots in South Coast. Upon entering an empty store during the evening, I noticed two employees in the middle of the store ignoring us and giving us the cold shoulder. It's evident that they were aware of our entrance since the door made a noise when we went in. I didn't let it bother me until seconds later, when two other customers entered and were cheerfully greeted and acknowledged. Again, I attempted to not let it get to me. However, noticing the environment and my surroundings, how was I going to accept this situation as anything other than feeling a little bit discriminated and 100% disregarded either from my age or my ethnicity. If you as an establishment don't want me to assume that me being ignored was due to some certain factors, at least be consistent and either greet everyone or don't greet anyone at all. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything from this specific location. I will stick to my Talbots purchases only at South Coast where I have developed some friendships with their gracious and courteous employees there.

22/09 My wife never passes up a stop at Talbot's. All Talbott have a high standard for appearance and organization. This mall location is keeping up the exceptional standard.

Everyone is friendly and wanting to help. Although the store was full of customers I was made to feel like I was the only one there! Always find quality and the right fit!

Great quality and they are doing a great job of keeping shoppers safe. Limiting how many are in store at a time, lots of cleaning. I felt safe and found some good deals!

They have the worst selection of cloths ,they are great if you are 90 years old and if you did find something they didn’t have your size ,couldn’t even find something just to spend the gift card , couldn’t pay me to return , just because something is expensive doesn’t make it nice , worst selection ever felt like I was at goodwill

Absolutely rude customer service. Not only are they racist but extremely sexist. I wanted to try on a top that is fairly androgynous. The ladies laughed at me saying it's for female. I was utterly humiliated in front of a lot of people and they just laughed at me. I've also seen them treat customers of different race very rudely. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Great clothes selection, but rude customer service. The old ladies here seem to be conservative koreans and aren't that accepting of different type of people. Tried to pick out a top that was cute but ended up being humiliated because my biological sex is male. They actually stood there laughing at me. Never been so humiliated in my life.
