I started sending my son to Optimus before he started kindergarten to help with the transition from being in an at-home daycare to actual school. Best decision ever. I'll be doing the same for my next when the time comes. I knew immediately that Optimus was a good fit because my son came home happy and the teachers were very welcoming and friendly. Top priorities I was looking for when searching for after school programs were: safety, homework help, extra learning and transportation. Optimus provides all of those and I'm grateful to have found them. I hope the programs help my son excel in his studies and continue to foster his love for learning.

This review is actually long over due. I started putting my oldest daughter in Optimus for their summer program back in 2018. She really enjoyed Optimus and so did we. We continued with Optimus since then with my second daughter. My husband and I work long hours and appreciate that Optimus has after school pick up services. They do homework help and also have different tutoring help for the kids. We have used probably most of their services from time to time and I find it has been very beneficial for both my daughters. Even during the tough unprecedented time with COVID, when times were difficult for all, Optimus was and has always been very accommodating with the students and parents. That speaks volume for their dedications. Like I said, this review is actually long over due. I found Optimus from yelp and I hope my review will help another family if they are searching for an after school program or summer program for their child/children. The staff are awesome. We started there with Ms. Melissa and Ms. Becka and Ms. C are all wonderful. All the teachers there are all great. Mr. Huang is also great and easy to approach with questions or concerns. Communication with Optimus is always easy. I appreciate Optimus!

My son has been attending Optimus for a while now and he really loves it. They help him with homework or provide extra worksheets when he doesn't have any homework. His teachers are very nice and welcoming. They also provide transportation which was important when we were deciding on after school programs. The classrooms look clean and you can tell safety is important to them. I will continue to send my son to Optimus and even my second child when they are old enough.

My wife and I were first introduced to Optimus when we enrolled our daughter into their Summer program, a month before she was scheduled to begin Kindergarten. Up until that point, our daughter had spent 3+ years at a home daycare, where they were very nurturing and protective. The idea of sending our 5 year old firstborn to Optimus, or any Summer program, was pretty nerve-racking, especially having spent the early years at a small daycare. After many visits to various Summer programs and afterschool programs in the Brea/Placencia/Fullerton/Yorba Linda area, we made the decision to give Optimus the final go. What pushed us over the edge was encouragement from our friends who had been sending their kids to Optimus for years. They all had wonderful things to say about them. Admittedly, our daughter has never been good with change. When we first decided to send her to daycare when she was 18 months old, she cried at dropoffs for over 3 months straight. We were terrified that she would go through the same thing with this change to Optimus. Thankfully, she adjusted incredibly well, likely due to the fact that several of her daycare friends joined her at Optimus too, but also because the teachers were great and she made new friends quickly, the latter of which was a surprise to us. At the end of each day, during pickups, she would tell us how much she enjoyed the activities and teachers. She especially enjoyed coding, which was taught every Friday. She liked the Summer program so much that we decided to enroll her in the afterschool program. They pick her up every day, update us on the phone app when this happens, and make it worry free as the elementary schools have so many minimum day schedules. It's been four months since she's been in the afterschool program, and it's been a huge help for my wife and I as Optimus helps her complete her homework assignments, both written and online. As working parents, this is so helpful because we simply don't have the time to help do homework with extracurricular activities 3 nights a week. She likes all her teachers and they have been great with communicating anything they want to share with us. One concern we had about Optimus was the fact that they don't have a playground. Many of the other afterschool programs had playgrounds, and that was concerning as we were afraid she would feel trapped indoors for half her days - she arrives at Optimus at 11:45 a.m. and we pick her up at 4:50 p.m. five days a week. But surprisingly, with the variety of activities, lessons, and breaks, our daughter truly enjoys being there. There are even days when we try to pick her up at 2;50 or 3:50, and she would tell us, "you can pick me up later if you want." That seems to be the best confirmation that she's happy there, which makes us happy.

I am really enjoying this after school program for my 1st grader. Miss. Z is an amazing teacher and really patient with my daughter. I appreciate the school having flexibility with my schedule, so I can change the days she attends/not attends. On Fridays, they have art or coding class which always seems like a hit with my daughter. They also offer piano which seems like a popular class.As for homework, the teacher checks her homework folder and really explains the assignments. I highly recommend Optimus!

Optimus Learning School provides an excellent environment for students to aspire to higher educational goals. The teachers ensure not only the completion of homework but its accuracy as well. The OLS after-school and summer programs are invaluable resources for any busy parent.

My kids absolutely love Optimus! The welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to make friends have made it a favorite for them. The teachers at Optimus truly go above and beyond, paying attention to even the smallest details like what my kids have for lunch. I've noticed a positive change in my daughter's school grades since she started attending this center. When I ask her about Optimus, her face lights up, and she genuinely enjoys being there. It's clear that the team at Optimus is doing a fantastic job creating a nurturing and educational environment that kids love.

Update:My 2 daughters are no longer at Optimus but what they took with them into their Jr High and High School years is invaluable. Their top priority remains excelling in school and managing their extra curricular activities to accommodate their demanding academic schedule. They expect the best for themselves without our parental influence. I'm deeply grateful to Optimus for their support in instilling these valuable habits and helping my daughters to become successful Jr high and High school students. Thank you!

I have been with Optimus for over 7 years, and I can confidently say that this after-school program is exceptional. It's exceptionally clean, and the teachers are both friendly and professional. They diligently check homework, and their pickup app is fantastic - I receive notifications with my son's teacher's name when he's picked up. I highly recommend this place!

As a former public school teacher, Optimus gets my full recommendation! It has a safe, professional space. The students are met where they are at and make significant progress. The after school program ensures students finish work and it’s done accurately. In addition, the summer program is a teacher’s dream as students get live instruction and don’t get the dreaded “summer forgetfulness”. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

This piano lesson is fantastic! The instruction takes place on a Grand Piano and consists of two 30-minute sessions. This format has made a significant difference, especially considering my daughter is only in 1st grade. Unlike other piano lessons that usually demand an hour per session, which can be overwhelming for her age, this program is perfectly tailored. The inclusion of the textbook is a great plus, and the teacher is both friendly and highly skilled. Overall, it's a wonderful piano class!

The piano class they offer is excellent. They teach using a grand piano, provide textbooks as part of the tuition, and their instructors are highly skilled professionals. I also appreciate that they divide the lesson into two 30-minute sessions. It's truly the best piano program I've ever encountered!
