Shayma was a lifesaver. I was worried that with my quick wedding date coming up, I would not be able to find a wedding dress tailor. But she responded to my inquiry online and soon enough, I had an appointment with her to discuss what I would need altered and its cost. In that first meeting, I left my wedding dress with her with full trust that everything would be altered beautifully. You can tell she is a true professional at what she does and loves doing so. I'm so glad I found her in the midst of planning my "quick" wedding. I had lots of bead work and some lace on my dress. It came out seamless.
In addition, I had been worried about how I would take my wedding dress on the airplane, but on the pick up day, she remembered and gently folded up my wedding dress and bagged it beautifully to fit in my luggage. She truly is a life saver. Thank you, Shayma!!

Look, I'm 4' 11" and I knew that when I got my dress I was going to have to cut 2 feet off the length. I tried to avoid a dress with too much detail at the bottom but I just fell in love with my dress and couldn't say no. I probably searched for two weeks to find a professional Bridal Tailoring business that wouldn't just chop off the bottom of my dress and I'm so happy I found Dantella's! They knew immediately that I wanted the lace lifted and they painstakingly removed each appliqué and reattached it after hemming the dress. The whole process was easy with lots of fittings. I would recommend them to any bride!

I thought my Pronovias wedding dress was perfection, until I brought it into Shayma for alterations! She made it EVEN MORE perfect after suggesting adding more material to the skirt, making it the princess-esque wedding gown I have always wanted. Shayma does beautiful work, and always greeted me and my mom with a smile. Thank you, Shayma, for making my wedding dress exactly what I always dreamed it would be. I'll see you again, when my sister gets married!

This place is amazing for alterations! I got my wedding dress altered here and the seamstress was so helpful and sweet. The alterations consisted of adjusting the waist and length, as well as adding a bustle. The price was great (I checked other places and they were going to overcharge by a couple hundred) and the speed as which the dress was going to be complete was very quick (like 7-10 days). And best of all, the customer service was wonderful. Thank you so much for your help on my special day! If I ever need something else altered, this is going to be my first stop!

I wanted to come here because she has a lot of reviews & high rating, but ERRR wrong! She needs to edit her hours to "Open as needed" or "Open when I feel like it". I've been trying to call to make an appointment because the first time I called she told me to bring in the dress by the end of the month, but it's impossible to get a hold of anyone to make an appointment. I called, texted, messaged on Yelp & finally got a response by text. She asked me if I can come in Thursday, so I said "Yes, I can come at 4:30p". My friend & I drove there in traffic just to find the store CLOSED, when business hours show that they're open until 6pm, but I guess she comes & goes on her own schedule without caring about her customers. She then blames it on the holidays & being short staffed, or that I should text her so she can respond faster but she ignored my text that I was confirming 4:30p. She only responds when she wants to. I'm sorry, I was calling all week & texted you on Saturday, but didn't get a response until Wednesday & when you told me to come in you left? I texted you & you just ignored the time I confirmed on coming in. Then she continues to say that I should've waited for a confirmation email, how am I supposed to know when you LACK communicating that via phone, text, or on your website?? She's done that a few times according the her past reviews. I read all the 1 star reviews & she continues to make the same excuses, she takes zero accountability for her mistakes & just dismisses them. You're a business owner, act professional, show some respect or remorse, & actually care about your clients. I'd be willing to pay triple the price than come back here, especially if it's for your wedding dress. It's supposed to feel special, not stressful. I highly recommend NOT coming here, there's a better place not too far away from this called Dress Me Bridal Boutique. Cindy was way more professional, very informative, sweet, & accommodating to her clients. Don't waste your time here.

Based on all the positive reviews, I decided to make the 50 minute drive from LA to Brea to have my wedding dress alterations done with Shayma, and I'm so glad I did. From the very first appointment, Shayma was so wonderful to work with, and I always felt like my dress was in good hands. My dress consisted of different materials, including off-the-shoulder sleeves, and I didn't exactly have any particular ideas about how I wanted it altered, but Shayma clearly knew what she was doing and took the lead. She also helped me decide what type of veil would look best with my dress and offered keep it to professionally steam it to have it ready with my wedding dress on the big day. Even with such a long drive, I found myself looking forward to each appointment because Shayma always made me feel like she was not only there to do her job, she was also such a warm, kind, and funny person to talk to and be around. I felt so confident and beautiful on my wedding day, and I'm so happy I decided to go to Dantella. Thank you, Shayma!

What can I say more? Shayma is the best. She did a great job alterating my wedding dress last minute. My bridal shop told me it was ok to put in rush order for my wedding. Although it came in at the time it was supposed to be, I lost about 20 lbs during the 3 month wait, which means my order was too large to be put on. Bridal shop tried to help by offering some alteration shops but all of them are completely booked for rushes, no one was able to finish alterating my dress in 2 weeks. Frustrated and desperated, I had to call around Southern California and luckily Shayma was able to squeeze me in last minute! The moment I got in, she just started cutting the bottom of the dress - I was a bit surprised when she started cutting but hey if this is the way to go I'll go with it. After cutting about 20 mins, it looked like she has reached a satisfactory point. She scheduled my next two appointments and huala everything was done in less than two weeks! She packed my dress and veil very well so it can fit perfectly in my carryon for my destination wedding. I really can not thank her enough for making the entire process so smoothly. For all these stressed-out brides out there, don't hesitate to call Shayma! She will do her magic. Thank you again!

I was recommended here by my friend, who also had her dress altered. I had multiple layers and beading on my dress, which was complicated. Shayma did an amazing job getting it to all to stay together and shortening it for me. I didn't need to say much on what I needed. She could tell once I tried it on she just worked her magic. The bustle was simple, and my bridesmaids were able to put it on very quickly. Shayma was so pleasant and every appointment she was always happy with a smile on her face and she made be feel so beautiful each time even when I didn't feel it myself. She made me feel confident, and I absolutely love how my dress came out. The price was more than fair for all of the work she did on my dress. She is busy so make sure you come in early and be ready for four appointments or so. I was able to do my first dance and spin around effortlessly. She's really amazing and I couldn't have done it without her. I even forgot to bring my veil at my last fitting and she let me come another day to drop it off for it to get steamed. I didn't need to touch anything up and just put it on the day of the wedding. She also provided a large bag to carry the dress which I tossed inside a larger garment bag.

Had my bridesmaid dress altered here and it came out perfect! I was so worried because it fit so strangely prior to alterations but it came out perfect. Dantellas is so efficient and affordable. I will definitely be back.

Shayma is your fairy godmother that makes everything perfect for you. I love that she not only is an expert in her craft but also provides advice to make everything even better. She is highly experienced and her expertise will elevate your look to the next level.
