We go here all the time and we have two little kids that are constantly sick. They have been great with expediting prescriptions when we are going from the doctor to home.

This pharmacy has given my family and I nothing but problems with almost every visit. They are extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I had surgery this morning and the doctor called in prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medicine at 8:00am. Since the pharmacy wasn't open, the doctor left a message on their phone line listing the prescriptions. My mother went to pick up the prescriptions at 10:00am when they opened, and they told her that no prescriptions had been called in. My mom had to suggest for them to check their phone line for them to realize that there were indeed pending prescriptions. Without listening to the message, they told my mom to come back at 12 since they were "backed up." At this point, I took pain medication that was not prescribed to me since I was fresh out of surgery and could not bear the pain. My father then went to pick up the prescriptions, but they did not have the pain medicine, only the antibiotics. The pharmacist said the message left from the doctor pertaining to my pain medication cut off at the word "Ty--", so he told my father I should probably take Tylenol. Instead of calling the doctor back to clarify the pain medication I was supposed to take, the pharmacist assumed the half word that was heard was regular Tylenol, something I could get over the counter. Even a family of non pharmacists thought that was odd, so we called the doctor to clarify which pain medication I should take after coming home with the antibiotics. The doctor explained I was prescribed Tylenol 3 (with codeine), and was curious as to why the pharmacy didn't call back regarding the cut-off message. The pharmacist then called me and said, "the doctor just called in the pain medication," which is a lie because it was called in at 8:00 this morning. He also added that the medication would be ready an hour from then. The pharmacist took no responsibility for this scenario and made it seem like the doctor didn't call in the pain medication earlier. This is very frustrating because taking responsibility is the least the pharmacy/pharmacist could have done, considering I had to wait another hour, due to their negligence, for pain medication that I should have had hours before for post-surgery pain. Many frustrating occurrences similar to this one have happened at this location to my family and me, this is just the straw that broke the camel's back. We only started going to this CVS because it is the nearest pharmacy after they bought out Fisher's Pharmacy down the street, but now I will take the time to travel to another pharmacy to avoid dealing with this negligence and unprofessionalism.

I used to deal with the old Fisher's pharmacy before the old owners decided to shut the business down. They recommended that I switch my medication's, of which there are many, to the local CVS in Brea. CVS has done nothing but give me headaches overall, and I miss the personal and knowledgeable service of fishers. Recently, CVS has made the brilliant decision to shut down between the hours of 12 and one... Exactly when most people who work are out trying to run errands such as picking up a prescription. They've also decided to start opening later which is another pain and not very convenient. If it wasn't such a difficult undertaking, I could switch over to Rite Aid and that may happen yet.

Not told that I had no refills when I called in for a prescription refill. Was told it would be ready by 3:00 pm. Went to pick it up more than 10 days later. First person told me I had no refills. Neil the pharmacist told me they not only were out of stock and had to order it but that I had refills available (complete contradiction). I asked the Pharmacist Neil to report my complaint on the broken refill system and for a copy of his correspondence to CVS. He said he could not copy me on it because it was internal only.Refill call in system will stay broken.

The other reviews are spot on. Send your Rx to another place if possible. On multiple occasions they said to return at a certain time to pick up a Rx but only to find out that they need another 3 additional hours to fill it. They are frequently understaffed and unable to help people. They lie about the issues and blame the system for not “finding” and Rx so not filling it. Overall they have have a very poor grasp of their capabilities at this location. It’s definitely worth an extra drive to go to another pharmacy so as not to deal with tis headache every time.

What can I say about Michael?? He quiet literally saved my bacon as I needed my medication ASAP. And he took the extra step to figure out my insurance and send my prescription to a CVS that had it in stock. Typically we don't see this level of customer service especially on a holiday from the pharmacy as they we typically extremely busy! But Michael was patient, attentive and knowledgeable- this gave a new found respect and appreciation for the pharmacy and CVS. You rock Michael THANKS!

CVS deployed a garbage automated interactive voice response telephony system for prescription refills and none of my prescriptions are fulfilled by the promised time. In fact, their employees acknowledged they can't fulfill the orders using the system...so why use it? Aside from this fact, the employees (not the pharmacists) are rude and hard to understand. Some are too literal and can't use common sense or simple street logic (ex: "you're one day too early for the refill, even though you're traveling for two weeks, and I can't reduce the quantity by 1), others appear unhappy with their job. The pharmacists are better; they try to at least exercise patience but the strain shows. What's going with this CVS is a mystery but corporate needs to resolve these issues.

Pharmacy experience with Taihaly was very unfriendly, she seems like she is having a bad day and does not project the friendly customer service CVS uses in the marketing campaign they need to put some at the counter that likes enter-acting with humans

This pharmacy is the worst one in Brea. They rarely pick up the phone, and even if there is one person in the drive thru it takes 45 minutes to get medication. I only started going there for the drive thru but it takes way too long, even when they don't seem that busy. It's pointless. They also always get something wrong and tell me they'll put it in the notes and it's still always wrong when I head over to pick up. I'll be transferring everything over to rite aid, less of a headache.

They recently changed staff in the pharmacy, they have no clue what they are doing insurance wise, I explained numerous times what the last staff had to do because CVS just can't grasp that i need an old insurance deleted because they no longer insure me. They have no clue how to bill my current insurance. I'm going to find a new pharmacy.

After a weird experience with the manager here at one time (cannot remember his name but think it was something like "Luis"?), I no longer feel comfortable shopping here despite it being so close to my home. I had come in one particular afternoon to pick up some hygiene products - body wash, toothpaste, some deodorant, and pads - and as usual I had my little reusable shopping bag with me so I don't have to use the carts. I remember the manager walking up to me very aggressively and staring at me like I was doing something horrific, and the whole time I was in the store he proceeded to follow me around like an absolute maniac, huffing and puffing, red in the face, and continually asking me if I was "doing okay". I was so focused on shopping that it didn't occur to me until I had gotten to the register and there he was AGAIN, babbling his head off and suddenly being super friendly, that he had likely assumed I was shoplifting due to my ethnicity and thought I really was going to run off with some toothpaste and body wash because of course someone like me would do that. I know someone is probably going to read this and roll their eyes assuming I am just complaining for no reason or being "sensitive", but it was honestly an humiliating experience because I've noticed an increase in these kinds of incidences occuring again in Brea, including people not acknowledging me when I go into certain stores or treating me differently, that had stopped happening for a long time. I grew up out here and these kinds of things used to happen years back and then largely tapered off over time. I understand shoplifting is an issue and have dealt with my fair share of runners whenever I've worked customer service, but being blatant about it to the point you're actively stalking people in the store is just ignorant and dangerous, especially with the current climate. And for the record, I've never had this happen to me at any other CVS I've been to in the area, so I know I wasn't imagining things as I've always been on edge ever since that happened.

The worst pharmacy!! They don't know their butts from a hole in the ground! I have never dealt with some of the most unintelligent, educated and license people in my life! I can go on for days about this location, but I won't bore you.

Absolute worst drive through pharmacy. There has been multiple times where I've waited behind one car in the drive-through for more than 20 minutes.

I've had very long waits at this pharmacy and I'm STILL waiting on them to accept my new prescriptions. I run into this CVS when I forget something elsewhere but they don't seem to restock the things that I buy here so I often can't find what I'm looking for. The place is clean though and the workers are friendly.
