Monica is the least competent bank employee I've ever met. It took 3 times explaining what I wanted-just a withdrawal with some cash and a check. Should have been simple, but NOT!

I come to this location because it is approximately 4.5 miles closer to me than my actual credit Union. Each time I’m in here and Michelle assists me, she always gives me a hard time about coming to this location. I have never encountered this issue with any of the other tellers.

If common sense staffing matters to you don’t choose this place. How is it on December 2nd right after the first of the month close to Christmas you have 1 teller working? Nice enough folks but c’mon man.

Michelle has always been so kind and helpful. I like that you never have to stand in line very long at all.

Consumers beware! Put your money elsewhere! I opened a CD here and tried to get money back out once it matured. Guess what? They limit the transfer amounts AND cancels all of your transfers due to "fraud review"- every single one of them. So it's almost impossible to get your own money back out. This bank is a scam, get your money out while you can before they close down. I even called in to talk to someone and they still canceled the transfers. I will be closing my accounts immediately Replying to Ryan: thanks for responding, I have actually called in a few times, the first 3 times had longer than 15 mins waits, another time your rep hung up on me, and the time following that they hung up as soon as it was answered. I finally got thru and spoke to a rep and explained the situation, which still resulted in the cancellation of transfer. I have done all I can as a consumer. This is not the level of service I would want from any institution.

I was experiencing some fraudulent activity on my debit card and came into this branch for some help. Everyone was super friendly but I want to thank Michelle specifically! She was able to get everything all figured out for me and I appreciate it so much!

I absolutely love this bank! I recommend this credit union to everyone. I particularly love Juan- he always takes the best care of us. He is definitely a gem and just makes my day every time I go in!

I'm not sure where to start but I've been banking here for many years. It was a great place to bank at but it's Custmoer service us the worst. I knew Michelle Cummings for years so in thought I'd call her to help me find what I needed and it's been a horrible experience she rude don't give me all the information I need never returns my calls and is just a awful person to get help from. So I've called 5 other times spoke to 5 different people to see how I can get someone else to help me? Nobody EVER GETS BACK TO ME! Lol what is going on?! They sound so nice and like there going to get back to me?!! And again I'm calling them. Well I really don't know what else to do. But see if the owner to CUSOCAL can help! Lol or the City if Brea?!! It's no joke how bad this credit customer service is. Awful place!!

Horrible branch! If you value your time don't go here. We've been with this bank for a long time and we love them. This is the first time we has an issue. We applied for a loan, got everything done, we just needed to go to a branch to hand them the paperwork and do the final signing. When i told them, they said stay in line. After 30 minutes they told me"you need an appointment!!!" My question is why did I have to wait 30 minutes to know I need an appointment!!! After that, they started getting even more rude!! At that point I saw no advantage to waste even more time and I left. I'm writing this review so it won't happen to any one else.

Wife just walked in on 6/25/22 and came back saying that the teller was very passive aggressive and borderline rude. We use this branch as as a sister branch due to our main branch being located over an hour away. We were making a withdrawal for an upcoming vacation and the teller Michelle immediately shot my wife down and said the withdrawal couldn't be made. My wife explained that we have always come to this branch without any issues. Michelle then questioned my wife as to the name of the branch was and even asked her to clarify when she didn't get the name exactly right. "Well, which one is it then?", she questioned. Hmm.. ok. When that was all sorted out Michelle placed the amount of money on the counter and moved on to her next task. My wife asked for an envelope to place the money in and Michelle didn't respond, eventually grabbed one, placed it on the counter without any acknowledgement. Michelle then suggested that my wife visit another location that may be closer. Interesting. Maybe she's having a bad day but on these days she needs to limit her interaction with customers as my wife walked away feeling less than appreciated for bringing our business here.

Extremely disappointed to leave this review. I've never, ever left a negative review for any business in my life, but I'm so disappointed in the service I received this morning from CU SoCal representative over the phone that I needed to speak up. I'm on my 3rd auto loan using CU SoCal with 2 loans current. Overall, the staff at the Brea location has always been really great and welcoming, and have really made me feel like my business matters to them. Julie's awesome if you couldn't tell from some of these other reviewers. That said, no relationship is without it's challenges. For example, their online portal is clunky and weird, and I've had all kinds of challenges transferring funds from other banks to their to make the payment process simple. Also, there have been at least 2 occasions where I've made payments by phone and they've double charged me. (I usually make phone payments because again, their online portal isn't great.) Human error, I get it. I didn't even ask for the $ back I just credited it towards the next payment. No biggie. One time, a rep took a payment over the phone and deposited it into my savings account and tried to tell me she had some kind of a new way to setup the payment to pull from there. Sounded super fishy to me, and I raised all the red flags but that's how she did it. Sure enough, a rep called me 30 days later to ask why I hadn't made the previous months' payment. After explaining everything to her, she and I concluded it must have been a really new person I'd spoken with the prior month and she didn't know what she was doing. I said I understood, didn't b***** and they corrected the issue. Again, I get it. My point is, I understand that an organization is made up of many people, and I'm not going to blow up over a couple minor incidents. People are infallible and I don't mind showing a little grace. This leads me to the point of this review. This past month in February, I made a late payment. I completely, unintentionally, straight-up forgot. I was shocked when the rep called me and said I was 30-days behind. "I already make February's payment??" I said. I'm not setup on auto-pay for the reasons I mentioned above, but have a decent calendar / iPhone reminder system in place. Anyway, the bank reported the late payment immediately to the credit bureaus --- and just like that I get a 75 point hit for being 1 day late. Damn. Now, this is 100% my fault, no doubt. (Well, maybe 90% because if their online portal wasn't so hard to navigate, I'd probably be setup on auto-payment like I am with every other payment in my life.) That said, I fully accept the responsibility of the fact that I made the payment late. Period. So, I did what we've probably all done and threw myself on the mercy of the bank to forgive the 24-hour transgression and sent in a forgiveness letter request by email. This morning I received a call. First off, the lady calling sounded super annoyed. She described the reason she called as having "received an email from someone." Yea, that was me and you just confirmed who I was. Right away, it seemed like she could care less and that calling me was a chore. She then proceeds right into reading her legalese about how they can't provide any kind of forgiveness because if they get audited they could be fined and on and on. (a) Everyone knows banks can provide late payment forgiveness, and this payment was 1-day late. C'mon, have a heart. (b) Be human. Be a person. I made a mistake but I've been a good and loyal customer. I've even referred 3 families to you on different occasions over the years. Even if there's really nothing you can do, at least pretend to care. Stop reading to me, holy cow. So tired of people hiding behind legal jargon and doing the absolute least amount possible to help. That's not service. Definitely the "hurry up and make this call and tell this guy to pound sand so I can get back to Instagr

Worst service ever. Where do you begging with this bank. Closed on weekends. Freeze your account if you travel. Don't make too much money because they will lock your account and call you. And who believes the callers saying we are calling from your bank verify your identity give me your social???? Is a joke of a bank. The worst part is the tellers they are nice but can turn bad really quick. We came with my wife to make 2 wires and even though the bank was empty we had to wait for account confirmation we were called on our phones omg what a nightmare. Moving on
