“So on the merits is a really great place. Been going in there over 20 years for all sorts of stuff. I like the staff and they're very helpful. Just understand that this place is unique and sometimes an employee can be a little salty. However they are really kind people all around. I talk to Scotty and Jeff the most and they're awesome. The people working there work VERY hard and are pulled in multiple directions all day and night all the time. It's pretty high volume place so please understand this when it's busy. They love fast and will take care of you. But this is a small operation. They've saved us multiple times over the years through all kinds of natural disasters when the power was out and roads were closed. Often they were the only ones pumping gas and filling propane bottles for our vehicles and generators . So I'm very fond of the place and the people that work there.”

“thank you so much for ur help Daniel, you’re always working really hard. You have made this establishment the best gas station in Santa Cruz. Steve didn’t make a mistake in making a general manager. Great job.”

“Quick and efficient guys! Brought the car here a few weeks ago because of a coolant leak. One of the guys took a look under the hood immediately after we drove onto the lot, identified the issue and gave a price estimate. The fix required ordering some parts but we were instructed to bring the car back the next morning and that’s that! The car was ready by afternoon. As some reviews have already mentioned, there is occasionally a bit of a language barrier with some of the employees, but the service is good regardless! Their work can seem a bit hectic but everyone’s always super helpful and nice to talk to. What you may lack in perfect communication, they make up for with excellent work.”

“We make it our regular Friday night pizza party. Where else can you get a large pepperoni pizza for under $10? Way better than Little Caesar pizza too. They make it easy to order and pay at a kiosk. We get a pizza and two sodas for under $12.”

“On my way back home from Monterey, I stopped here to get gas and the prices were surprisingly better than other locations.I didn't go inside to pay, just paid at the pump with card, but overall it was a pretty standard gas experience, just considerably better priced. Not to mention, easy to get back on the highway.Overall, it helped me get my tank full to head home and covered me for the week. It seems like a popular place everyone heads to, always a good sign!”

“Today we took our RV in for propane and gas. The gentleman helping us was a true professional. The gas station was very very busy and this young man, was on top of it all. Helping everyone all at once.......Hope he is still there, when we come back. Thank you for employing such a hard working young man. Just read where you are open 24 hours. We were there, today, Saturday, December 23, 2023 around 1:30 pm”

“One of the cheaper places to buy gas in Scotts Valley. I’d recommend to others for sure and there employees seem to always greet me, which is nice for a change.”

“This place is my go-to for late night gas or snacks because it's so close to my house. The staff is always helpful and the place is clean and well lit. I don't normally rate gas stations, but if the service is good, why not?!”

“As Dom Toretto from the Fast & Furious franchise, I've gotta say, the 76 gas station in Saratoga is the place to fuel up when you're ready to hit the streets with some high-octane action. They've got that sweet 100 octane gas on tap, perfect for our souped-up rides. But it's not just about the fuel; it's about the community. The parking lot here is like a family reunion for car clubs. Every weekend, you'll find enthusiasts from all over coming together to show off their rides and rev those engines before taking on the mountain roads. It's where we plan our epic mountain runs and share stories of our latest races. So, if you're living life a quarter-mile at a time and need that extra boost for your ride, the 76 gas station in Saratoga is where you want to be. It's more than just a pit stop; it's a gathering place for those who live life in the fast lane.”

“Most of the times I fill up my car here at chevron. And recently they also have b20 biodisel and e85 gasoline. However, since the upgrade, their new pumps shows ads and random videos which sometimes is somewhat inconvenient. Doecially when you're in a hurry and need a receipt. Other than that glad they're around the corner and at a convenient location.”

“My shoes broke one night and I didn't have enough cash to buy another pair of flip flops so the worker went to the back and gave me a pair of shoes so I'd have to walk around barefoot that's great customer service and thank you for looking out for your customers”

“I have two houses, one using Dassel's (almost 20yrs) and one using AmeriGas. I am getting reacquainted with Dassel's since a tenant moved out of 2nd home and was nervous reading the reviews from last winter. I just called to get tank filled and the phone was picked up immediately, I had incredible service from a very nice gal and while they can't deliver until next week, it's okay as it's not an emergency to fill. I will add that our experience in our primary home last winter was horrific. All the negative experiences ppl had w/ Dassel's was the same for Amerigas. Just sharing my experience. I will be keeping Dassel's as my exp over the years has been far better than Amerigas. Maybe look into Mountain Propane? I hear they are great..”

“Unfortunately there is no public restroom, however it was explained to me that it's because the facilities are not equipped for wheelchair access and it would be discrimination to provide access for everyone else.”

“My favorite place in SV to get gas. Using their app saves $0.10/gallon and frequently $0.20/gallon. Good selection of snacks. Lots of soda flavors in the fountain, including diet Coke and even Pepsi (yuck). The staff are super friendly. The only negative thing is I have not won the lottery yet... Probably not their fault.”

“Stopped here to fill up on our way to Fasting Prayer Mountain. Prices were high but that's to be expected in somewhere as beautiful in the sceneries. I can only imagine how much the price of rent is there. I have to mention the clerk again because he was pretty responsive to the fact that one of the brothers lock the bathroom key in the bathroom and that's the only key that they had. He could have got frustrated and upset but instead he said don't worry about it. So if he reads this thank you for not beating us over the head with an honest mistake. We also met another brother in Christ. Honestly is mini Shell gas stations is I've been to it was by far the best experience at this particular Shell.”

“Of the 3 main shells in town this one is most accessible. They have lots of pumps and also lots of diesel pumps for the location. Easy access on and off the freeway. Pretty clean handles on both gas and diesel. The window washer water isn't always the cleanest and prices are more than local spots”

“Thank you, Scott's Valley Chevron. For when I was broken, you fixed me. When I was crumbling, you made me whole. When I was hurting, you ameliorated my pain. Basically I knew that "out of order" sign on the bathroom was BS. And as a woman with an overactive bladder and a penchant for drinking water regularly sometimes must do I stared that cashier straight in the eye and was like, "Is that bathroom really out of order, bro?" "You can use it." With a wink and all. So you know it's real... Creepy. And from the bottom of my heart as much as I hate and am disturbed by winks and people who feel comfortable doling them out, I will never forget that cashier's kindness because I was able to relieve myself and get my life. So thank you.”
