The music at The Provence House is way too loud. Bonita sounds like a two bit night club alley now. Music with profanities blaring throughout the valley, all so you guys can make a quick buck. Have some integrity. Purchase and utilize decibel level monitors and set up some rules about music was profanities.

Attended a wedding on St Pattys weekend the event went well. The service was adequate, my server Clarissa was prompt and courteous. The only complaint is the two golf members from the club house trying to crash the party in golf shorts, claiming to know the bride’s father.

Rented Provence House for my baby shower in January.Day of shower you are given an hour to set up, and an hour from 8-9 for clean up. During the hour set up time I was greeting by a woman from the optimist club who oversees the place. She informed me she would be back at the end of the evening to do a turn over but a gentleman named John from the Optimist club would give me a walk through.Fast forward to 7:45. I have a cousin approach me and ask me who this lady is because she’s rude. I didn’t know at the time she was talking about the main lady from the optimist club who was back.I was then informed by the lady herself that she cleaned one of the rooms ( which I appreciated) and that it was now 8:15 and that I had 45 mins left to clean up. Mind you I had family cleaning up already as I was saying bye to my guests. It was 8:45 and myself and boyfriend went to look for lady to tell her place was cleaned and ready to turn over. She was attempting to fix a door knob that appeared to have fallen off in one of the bathrooms. As we started to tell her we were ready she blurted out, one of your people broke this. As if it was done deliberately. She then proceeded to point out some dirt on the floor of bedroom adjacent to bathroom so I grabbed the broom and swept it up as my Boyfriend continued on with her. She pointed out the large trash bins in the utility room were not emptied. I could hear BF say to her, ok we were not aware we were supposed to empty them but can you show me where they are to be emptied. She refused to show him where the dumpster was and clearly was agitated and extremely rude. At that point I asked her what her problem was with us and what was the reason for her rudeness. She responded that the place was a mess and nothing was cleaned. She then said we were given a walkthrough and explained what our cleaning responsibilities were. Nothing against John but he never explained to us or showed us the cleaning list that the lady pulled out of a drawer to show us. Even if it was explained to us, the place WAS cleaned and floor was swept. The Lady proceeded to point out that none of the floors were mopped. And I again pointed out we were not told we had to mop. I reviewed the cleaning list that specifically said, mop as needed. To me that means if you spill something or a spot needs to be cleaned by all means mop, not the entire place. She then threatened us that we were not going to get our $300 deposit back. At this point the lady had grabbed a steam mop and was mopping main area. Not wanting to loose our deposit I attempted to grab a mop which was broken. I told her about it and shouting at me showed me a different mop. I attempted to mop and then stopped because at this point I’m 35 weeks pregnant and angry that she was treating us like this. She proceeded to phone a ranger to come over and said she was done dealing with us telling us that previous guests had all steam mopped and she has never had an issue before. We waited outside for the ranger. He showed up and was very calm and understanding as we explained what had happened. He informed us he would talk to his boss.Next day my mother informed me lady told her she needed to start ushering my guests out and it wasn’t even 8 yet.I was also told she kicked out guests that were utilizing a room to clean it.After 4 phone calls and messages left inquiring about my deposit not mentioning what had happened I finally got my deposit back a month later.Besides our incident the place was nice. Very roomy for 70 guests. Kitchen was a good size. Love the back yard area. The tables and chairs were convenient and affordable to rent from them. We rented three heaters one went out quickly and BF found an extra propane tank to switch out which lasted a bit and went out.Luckily the two heaters were enough to keep guests warm.We had a good evening, was a shame it ended the way it did. I can’t believe how rude and disrespectful this lady was.Hopefully others find my review helpful but don’t have my same experience.

It's ok but wouldn't recommend. My sister had her wedding here and the optimist club that handles the rental of the house is not very helpful and the place wasnt cleaned before we got there to start decorating for the wedding but they expected it to be immaculate when we left it. Plus you have to be out by 9pm, way to early.

This was a fun, well run event with plenty of space inside and out. The grass was well kept and the structure was clean and up to date. We attended a wedding and I would recommend this place. There were 75 people and there was plenty of parking. How often can you say that in San Diego?
