If you're looking for a pleasant place for a good burger and a beer this is the place near Bodega Bay. Received excellent service, good food and reasonable price for pool and pinball.

We stopped by because this place was recommended to us, and it was one of our first stops on the way to the coast, everything was good, good atmosphere, quite familiar for a bar, only cash as is usual in bars

We each had a burger which is a great deal at $8. It was juicy and tasty. Staff was nice and environment historic with lots of taxidermy

I think I just found the best chef I swear to you! Enter into this old honky tonk bar with a great vibe not realizing I just entered culinary heaven I can’t say any words to qualify how delicious the food is!! The lamb shank was on special, served over hominy.

Great place to stop for a drink. I haven’t seen oysters there in over a year. Unfortunately staff can’t seem to give an answer on if they’re coming back. The rest of the menu is hit or miss.

Came here to grab dinner on a Friday night but got here a bit late (~8:30) so the kitchen was practically closed already. They were super sweet and still able to put together two orders of the shrimp boil for us! It was delicious. Served with two slices of toasted sourdough, it really hit the spot. Broth was rich and not too salty. We ate it all! We were able to pay with our card for dinner and the bar is cash only. Really small parking lot and hard to park our large truck when it was a bit busy. It looks like there is some street parking available (no "no parking" signs that I could see). So amazing this bar/restaurant has been open for 75 years! We will definitely return (and early enough for dinner).

It's a dive bar, but not a very good one at that. It has the feel of a bar that you might get stabbed which is cool but none of the surprisingly friendliness from the bartender that makes you feel at ease. The burgers were good. We had three orders and the guy was a little overwhelmed. Still very good burgers. No beers on tap, which is crazy and their bottle selection wasn't much. I want at least one beer over 8% to get me drunk. As a POC did I feel safe, no but that's a dive bar I guess. You walk in and like the movies everything goes quiet and everyone at the bar just stares at you.

This place is amazing. Small changing menu, so check online for updates, but the food was fantastic. Very unassuming roadside dive bar with gourmet quality food. Surrounding area is gorgeous. Cash only as well

Crave the genuine California experience with a side of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds view? This laid back lil ole place with a real Blue Plate special and jukebox is the place. Fun, funky and fabulous!!

Wish they just told us that they dont want to serve us. We waited there for more than 30mins. They said to just wait and thats it. Nothing. It would have been fine even with the waiting if they just said "no" so we have time to find a different restaurant. But by the time we left, everything else is closed. We arrived before 8 and left at 835pm.

I ate there a month ago with my sister and brother-in-law. It's an upscale pseudo rural dive bar, I guess.See the pictures. The food was ok. I had chicken with a white bean sauce, which was ok, a bit bland. Maybe I was expecting too much. You paid for the California priced food (with a credit card) before you were seated. The bar was quite busy, the restaurant also, but there were tables. No wine list, you bought the wine over the counter at the bar. I thought the female bar tender was rather abrupt telling me "no credit cards". I didn't see any sign. A different waitress brought the food with less than the usual perfunctory niceties. When I flagged her down to ask about salt and pepper (I know, no water, no salt and pepper at most restaurants now) she said "It's by the cash register"; in other words, "get it your self". I wasn't paying for the meal, but if I had been, an insulting penny tip would have been appropriate. And, of course, you have to wonder if any cash business pays their share of fees, taxes, unemployment insurance, etc.
