Westside Regional Park and Campground is a small campsite right on Bodega Bay. It is a wonderful place for a day or overnight stop, very close to the water for fishing and crabbing during open season. The beach is clean and nice, a place where kids and pets would enjoy playing. It is very dog friendly, though pets must be leashed. The site allows two vehicles and two tents per site and must be booked in advance. It has a picnic area with a bench and barbecue spots at each site. There is a standard restroom with toilet and sink, though some note it needs to be cleaned. Running water is provided sparingly throughout the site. It is quiet after 10pm, with no generator operation after 8pm. The campground is in the open, so a pop-up tent is recommended. It gets cold at night, so bringing firewood is advised. There are lots of hiking spots nearby and a day use area next door with plenty of parking and a boat launch. Some visitors find it a little overpriced and note the nearby restaurant closes early.
