Doctor Trapani and staff are absolutely the best. I used to live much closer but I still trek the hour each way to ensure my cats get the very best in care. As a breeder and exhibitor in CFA, I appreciate the knowledgeable assistance with my program and I've never doubted that the course of treatment was anything but the best for the animal.

The vet is everything you want for your pet. Dr Trapani's competent and personable OLD SCHOOL Vet Care Practice is the best there is. I'm hopeful that the surgery goes as he anticipates. His removing the tumor completely takes place next week.

Do NOT take your pets here if you care about their well being. They gave out the wrong medicine - and then lied about it when I caught it. The tech was so rough with my dog she refused to go in. The tech then threatened to sedate her. They forget to provide agreed upon services. If you question anything they say "if you do not like it go somewhere else". The doctor is oddly petulant and when informed of his staff's poor service becomes defensive and aggressive. When I asked them to send my dog's records they told blatant lies on the form for all future vets to see. Nasty and unprofessional at best. I will report to licensing. I have had my doubts about the competency of the office for a long time, This last set of behaviors convinced me my animals were not safe in their care.

Dr Trapani is a fabulous veterinarian and absolutely one of the best I have come across diagnostically. I drive from Santa Rosa with all of my babes and have done so for years. He is kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Terrible vet. Picks and chooses who he wants as clients. Used to take both dogs here ten years ago, just back in area and gave us the brush off. Made fake name to try and see if new client could get appt and sure enough they called. Guy is a snobby marine biologist, if you have a pet dolphin go see him, otherwise avoid like COVID.

Used to go here a long time ago. Took our dogs and was ok. Recently called to try and get an appointment as we are back living in area. Talked to receptionist who found our old acct and said she'd call back. Called back next day and said sorry there's no appointments but could be put on waiting list. Said ok but then I said so maybe a few weeks and she said unlikely. Did not tell me when next appt would be available. Seemed to just blow us off and not want to see our dog. Decided I'd try making new spot under a new patient name and see if they would call back. Sure enough called today asking about our dog. Obviously they pick and choose which dogs and owners they like and exclude everyone else. My friend Cathy who had a stroke and In a wheelchair liked him which is why we were willing to drive an hour and a half for appt. Vet who apparently is a marine biologist comes off as an elitist snob, maybe stick to talking to fish for a living.

Outstanding compassionate, high quality health care delivered with love and patience. I have a high anxiety, youngster Mcnab who has had serious difficulties at Dr. Visits, who is treated with love, compassion and time to help overcome his anxiety issues. My nearly 18 year old terrier mix is treated with love and dignity. Her ongoing treatment for heart failure is providing the highest quality of life and we feel supported by the wealth of information we are provided and the options to insure a happy dog. I love this vet office. They are happy, professional, kind and provide high quality health care at an affordable rate. I wish I could find a doctor for myself that provided such excellent care!

Dr Trapani was out today 4/23/19, when I took my 16 yo cat in to see him. The receptionist forgot to tell me when I made the appt. that he would be replaced by a lady vet, whose name is not on the receipt. Her last name began with a 'd', so I'll refer to her as Dr. D. I believed that my cat was suffering from a compromised kidney, as he's been drinking copious amounts of water and urinating about the same. The last time I saw Dr Trapani, I recall him telling told me that most cats over 13 were likely suffering from this common condition, and I seem to remember his telling me this because Nino was presenting with it at that point in time. Nino is on a raw food diet I've made for him his whole life. His coat is gorgeous, but beginning to show some oils, which again, is indicative of kidney disease. He was also presenting a pretty raunchy smelling mouth, and has lately been drooling on one side. He was in obvious pain a couple of nights ago, and I figured he had an infection in his mouth. Dr. D discovered an ulcer on his tongue, which she told me is very likely caused by the excessive uric acid from the kidneys under-functioning. She did not recommend antibiotics, but told me to continue to feed him soft food with a lot of water. She offered me pain killers, but he doesn't seem to be in pain any more, and she offered to give him subcutaneous fluids, as he's a bit dehydrated. As I'm very tight on money right now, and he looks to be normalizing, I forewent those treatments. I'd read that boosting vitamins C.E, A, probiotics, and omega fatty acids would boost his immune system and were indicated as useful supplements for renal failure. When I asked about this, and any other diet recommendations, Dr. D back-peddled and told me that without doing blood work, she could not tell me for certain that he had a compromised kidney. Then she said that renal diets are low-protein, but would not elaborate any further. Her expression was one of arrogance. I am planning a trip across country in the coming months and inquired about traveling in a car with my cats. She told me she would not certify him, as he is an 'unhealthy cat'. I asked if she wouldn't certify any older cat, since as Dr Trapani noted most cats over 13 were likely suffering from compromised kidneys, to which she answered, "I've seen an older cat who did not suffer from kidney disease, and we don't know that's what he has." I admit that I may be naive and I absolutely do not know everything. I have also been healing myself, my horse and two cats by my own hand after researching from multiple books and online sources I've studied for the last 35 years. I am not one to run to the vet unless an issue is beyond my scope of understanding or abilities. Perhaps I'm silly, but I thought that health certificates were used to assure that an animal is not carrying a contagious disease, like upper respiratory, or such? I brought Nino into the USA from Mexico 15 years ago. He was given a health certificate there after a simple physical examination. I will research whether a blood test is required in order for a vet to issue one in this country. I was taken aback by Dr D's sudden authoritarian pose. She also said he had lost weight since last time I brought him in, as if this was a major concern. I asked how much weight, and the sweet assistant told me 6/10ths of a lb! For a 13.31 lb cat, that did not seem significant. He continues to have an appetite, ate more than his dish of food this evening, and seems to have a pretty muscular frame still. He was a little overweight at one point and looks about right to my untrained eye. Thankfully, Dr. Trapani respects customers who ask questions and do their own research. He brings a professional light to our meetings, corrects any misunderstandings, and I appreciate his great wisdom. I always learn a lot from him. My observation is that Dr D became self important

We were in the local RV park Thanksgiving week on vacation. Our giant yellow Lab Quincy had torn his toe nail at home the week before and it wasn't healing. Worried it was getting worse and possibly infected, I called BBVH for an appointment. We were very lucky to get in and be seen by Dr. Jaggi (Dr. Trapani was on vacation) who did a fabulous job removing the nail, wrapping it up perfectly and sending us off with two prescriptions, all at a fair price. I was so glad I didn't wait until we returned home! All the staff members were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, as well. We definitely had a 5 star experience!

Most welcoming, friendly, knowledgable vet staff you will ever find! So unbelievably unmatchable we drive from Rohnert Park! Dr. T and the staff take great measures to provide a caring consultation, rich with animal history and how medication and treatments have evolved or lack there of and what the best options are for your furry loved ones. Our Tiger had a successful cryo on his ear, bad tooth extraction and lots of hugs! Our Sasha just melted once here and she's my cranky one! Literally, cannot be more thankful to be able to trust this team with our furry family.

A M A Z I N G! Our jack Russell had a badly injured dew claw, called all vets in rohnert park & Petaluma & no one could get us in without emergency fees. This vet gave us s 4pm appt & treated our dog so well. He & his staff are real animal lovers . They went above & beyond. I thought foresure it was going to be $200 minimum....$75.00. Wow. Take your pets here! May 25th 2018 & were here again on an unplanned situation with one of our pups. They squeezed us in on a Friday prior to a 3 day weekend. They are amazing. True animal lovers & community minded people. Quite honestly , I walk out of their office with my mind blown. We will now officially stop taking our 3 pets to our normal vet in Roseville & schedule all our appointments with BBVH. I cannot day enough great things about these people!

Dr T, Barb and staff are outstanding and we wouldn't consider taking our dogs anywhere else. We have lived in the area for a little over four years and Dr T treated a rescue Maltese of ours that no one else had ever been able to successfully treat. The Maltese had been severely abused and tortured, prior to our adoption. He had serious behavioral problems. Dr T worked and worked with Little Joey and found a combination of meds that for the first time ever, gave Joey happiness and the ability to enjoy every day on a sustainable basis. He has performed other similar miracle like treatments for our other pets and we can't thank him, Barb and his staff enough. They are our angels on earth and we and all of our furry babies are forever grateful. Stacie Allyn
