Surfer Bob is the bomb. I bought some swimwear and rented a SUP from them for a morning paddle. Their customer service is 10/10 - they made the rental super easy and Bob was a delight to talk with. I'll be back for surf lessons from him for sure!

Guess they don't know how to mix white,... or count change. I was shorted $5, two persons work a single register must a been a difficult task good thing she had her boy friend to help rip me off.

BEST SURF SHOP!!! I love this shop! All of the workers are so cool and helpful. Each time we visited we were well attended. The girl who helped us first, Lauren offered to let us borrow her soft rack for the day because we didn’t have one. Luckily, the shop sold some and I bought some. We also rented wet suits and boards for a great price! When we went to return our gear another guy, Uncle Bob gave us a wholesome surf talk and was glad to answer all our questions. We ended up buying wetsuits and got a deal on 2 boards!

Where do I begin? My husband and I celebrated our engagement in Northern California last year and stopped by Bodega Bay Surf Shack and absolutely loved it. We got matching sweatshirts that we still wear all the time… which brings me to why I’m writing this review.I wanted to get my husband a new hoodie for Christmas, and on a whim, I looked up the store’s website and found Bob’s number. I asked if he could send over some options and within minutes, I received a response saying he can help me! He sent over pictures of hoodies, I gave my info, and he’s shipping it so it will (hopefully) make it to Chicago before Christmas! He was so, SO nice and easy to work with.We can’t wait to go back to Bodega Bay and visit the shack again!!

Love this place! We wanted to go kayaking for our anniversary but had never been. Bob took extra time with us explaining everything. He had wetsuits for us that fit perfect. We had a great day out there. Had so much fun we went the following day again.

Bodega Bay Surf Shack is an awesome shop. You'll find lots of surf shops out there run or staffed by people with little to no surfing experience and that can be difficult to deal with when you're looking for advice on finding the right gear for yourself. But not the Surf Shack. Bob (the owner) is a long time local surfer in Bodega Bay and a great source of info for gear and local knowledge and his other employees I dealt with were very knowledgeable surfers as well and very helpful. They even taught me some things about the equipment I was looking for that I didn't know, introduced me to some new and better brands and I'm very happy with the board and suit I ended up buying there. This shop won't steer you in the wrong direction just to make a sale. Bob knows every inch of this coast and can send you in the right direction no matter if you're looking to surf, rent surf equipment or a kayak, or if you're just looking to buy some new gear, clothing or a board or wetsuit. They stocks some of the best high end surfboard brands in the industry and even some great affordable boards made by local shapers, and their wetsuit selection in huge! No other surf shop in this area comes close ( I looked) and it's the only shop on the coast and the last shop heading north until you get to Mendocino. And it's not just surf gear at The Surf Shack, they have lots of clothing, shoes, hats and souvenirs as well. It's a great surf shop and I highly recommend you shop here if you're in the area. And thanks again Bob and your team for all the help you gave me getting my surfing gear dialed in. Cheers
